The Elvis live show was most likely the best show I have ever attended. i attend regularly too. The sound was awesome.
Loved it. Love Elvis. Will go back. A great tribute to the KING!!!!
Having the experience of only Elvis' voice with the live back up music of such talented artists playing his music at the same time was awesome. The sould quality of his voice plus the music went hand in hand with each other and created an ambience that left a lasting impression. The illusion of Elvis standing next to the drummer or guitarist was so lifelike. Bottom line.....seeing this and hearing his strong voice definetly made a lasting impression and raised recognition to him.
Elvis seemed to be there. I can never forget, he was y always will be the King of rock. I have no words to describe the excitement that i felt when the concert started, i never realy forget.
I was expecting it to be more technical than just film of old concerts, but it was good.
This was the first time I had the privilege to see this show. It was incredible and I hope every Elvis Presley fan gets to see this show at least once. I will definitely go again if the show comes within a 250 mile radius.
I didn't really know what to expect but I thought this would be an interesting event for a Memphian during Elvis week. I never really understood the Elvis obsession as I was more interested in the Beatles and the rock groups that followed. I now understand. I felt the magic of a live performance with the instrumental music on stage and the supersized screen with Elvis performing. I wasn't even familiar with some of the music but came home and bought it on Itunes.
this was a great show with a unique concept for blending live and past performances. the additional live performance by the imperials was also a plus. i also enjoyed the top 5 countdown of live performances by elvis. the "new" band was very talented and had a great sound. the only negative, forget the intermission next time.
I enjoyed the show thoroughly but would like to have seen the back up singers and band players during the songs and not at the very end of the show. made me feel like it was a very good surround sound system and that it was all recorded.
Sent chills down your back - hopefully they will do a performance such as this every year
I don't know exactly *what* I expected, and maybe I got caught up in the whole "Elvis Week" phenomenon in Memphis, but this show took my breath away. I cried, I sang, I smiled. It was beautifully done and was my first real "taste" of Elvis as a performer. It was the highlight of my trip to Memphis. LOVED IT!
It was one of the most awesome concerts I ever seen. Elvis was there, live on screen. Singing to live music played by a band that was totaly out of this world, GREAT! And the back up singers were super. It took us all back to the 60's and 70's when times were different and Elvis was at his best. Seeing and hearing Joe Gercio talk about Elvis and what the future has in store for Elvis Fans around the world was exciting and Elvis' Imperials gave me goose bumps. The Show was one that I know Elvis would have aproved of. I can't wait to do it again and again.
The show was fabulous! The musicians and singers were exceptionally talented and delivered a superb performance. Please make this an annual event.
It was a very good program. I do wish the band and backup singers had been a little more up front and visible during the show rather than just at the end. If you actually attended an Elvis concert before he died, you might be disappointed to watch film clips. Having never attended an Elivs concert, I enjoyed it very much.
It was great and I am so glad I went. The seats were good and the performance of Elvis was out of this world.
My mom made me an Elvis fan so when I saw this concert come up I knew I had to get her to Memphis so we could go, she got here and we went. Her words, "the only way it could have been better is if he was there." She never got to see him in concert when he was alive but this show made you feel like you had just been to one. I hope they do it again next August and have more than one showing.
What a tremendous night it was for the packed house at the wonderful Orpheum Theatre in Memphis for Elvis in Concert. The video of Elvis backed by the unbelievably talented band was a visual and audio treat that exceeded my highest expectations. Throw in intros by Elvis's musical director and a live performance by the Imprerials gospel quartet (the first to back Elvis in his Vegas years) and the result was a concert that I'll never forget.
AWESOME AND TOTALLY REALISTIC. IT WAS SO ALIVE AND WELL DONE. I WOULD SEE IT AGAIN.
I am so excited to have been able to see this. It was not like the 25th or 30th anniversary shows. It was totally different and I was amazed. The band and singers were incredible and I'm floored at their talent. The Imperials were, of course, awesome. What a treat! Thank you thank you thank you!
