Love, love, loved it. Very emotional and sad at the same time. You could see the sadness in his eyes. Very powerful experience.
I have been an Elvis fan for 61 years. I never had the privilege of seeing him in person. This event gave me the opportunity to get as close to seeing him on stage as possible. As I exited the show, I said to my friend, "Now I can die happy." The orchestra was tremendous. It was the Memphis Symphony and the conductor was from London. Elvis put on a great show, as expected. And he sang all the songs I hoped he would. The audience was in a great frame of mind and everyone was pleasant and happy. I wish the screen was wider. It was huge vertically but narrow horizontally. The only real way this show could be improved would be to have Elvis appear in person. It was great!!
The Elvis show at Radio City was overall a better event. While the Wellmont Theater has its charm, Radio City facilitated a grander scale, which translated to a bigger "wow" factor. The Graceland show benefited from Priscilla Presley's narration, but may have pushed it with her video. Overall, it was a fun experience for any Elvis fan, and the orchestra really put their hearts into it. The recommendation to see or not was a difficult choice. If you saw, Radio City show, then don't need to see this one unless crave a good Elvis show. If did not see Radio City [or similar], then worth checking out.
Didn't know what to expect, but I was blown away by the symphony musicians. Wow! what talent. The music was magnificent. Elvis performances and music are always wonderful. So nice to see so many people still appreciate his talent. What a voice and what music. It was a really enjoyable evening.
I'm 58 years old, grew up with Elvis's music but never had the fortune of going to one of his concerts.I was 18 when he passed, the summer I graduated high school so I'll never forget This tour made me feel like I was in the audience live. The Symphony was spectular My dream is to get to Graceland in the near future. I'm so happy I had this opportunity to see what it would have been to be at one of his concerts.
Great show music & orchestra however prepaid parking purchased with the event tickets was terrible; over 45 minutes to exit from level 2 Never again!
I thought I was going to a hologram concert of Elvis like the one that was shown with Elvis singing with Celine Dion on TV. This was just a huge jumbotron of Elvis singing along as the symphony orchestra played. I paid a hundred bucks for my ticket (69 plus fees) and I could watch my Elvis DVD on my 62 inch TV with my soundbar and get the same effect.
We thought the show was excellent. The performers were very good and portrayed Elvis wonderfully
