the event hall was amazing (the masquerade HAS to be one of my favorite venues now). as for Eluveitie/3 Inches of Blood/Holy Grail and System Divide....only 2 words can describe it all in a nutshell....EPIC EVENT

If you ever get a chance to see Eluveitie live, you must! They were very cool and kept the crowd going crazy with some great circle pits and wall of death.

Holy Grail, 3 Inches of Blood, and Eluveitie were all absolutely amazing. If you enjoy good metal, you'll enjoy this tour. I highly recommend it.

  • HAIL ELUVEITIE!!!

    by Ryoko1027 on 2/28/11Masquerade - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Eluveitie live is a one of kind experience. No words can do justice to how awesome their show is. Phenomenal stage presence, amazing crowd interaction, music that encompasses your mind, body, and spirit and transports you to another world......absolutely incredible. They were stuck playing downstairs at The Masquerade but the floor was packed out and they still had room to fit everything on stage and tore the place apart. The crowd was really into the music and you could tell the band was feeding off that energy and playing even harder and faster. Rocked out singing in Ghaulish, headbanged all night, me and girlfriend even got to dance a jig, it was a night that will never be forgotten.

  • Eluveitie

    by hadrian86 on 2/28/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

This is the first show I have ever been to. I had a great time and love the band. Great mix of celtic folk and metal. my only regret is I wished I was more sober when Eluveitie hit the stage.

  • CANNOT WAIT for Eluveitie to return to firestone!

by Tegernako on 2/28/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

im glad they got the shitty System Divide out of the way first because they were GOD AWEFUL! but after the short set...then the REAL show began! Holy Grail annhilated us all. 3 Inches Of Blood was nothing short of perfect! jumped into my first pit when "Deadly Sinners" blasted in! but Eluveitie was awe-inspiring! every song was crystal clear and played to perfection! they welcomed us as if we were their fellow countrymen and we accepted them as our own! even when they were "finished" with their set and we all chanted "one more song! one more song! one more song!" they came right out and did 3 more! :D i cannot wait for Eluveitie to return to club firestone.

  • This show was BRUTAL!!!!

by SilentBear on 2/27/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

the title basically says it all. great line up to build for eluveitie -System Divide -Holy Grail -3 Inches of Blood -Eluveitite Best performance i seen live, not to mention best moshes, and energy I have seen in any show/concert thus far. Dare I say better than Last October's Slayer/Anthrax/Megadeth. I think i just did.

  • Eluveitie put on a beautiful show

by Synick on 2/27/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

We saw both Eluveitie shows - in St. Petersburg on the 24th and Orlando on the 25th. St. Petersburg was more intimate, which we really enjoyed, and Orlando was just full of an excited energy. Both shows were absolutely flawless! The band made sure to cater to both the folksier oriented of us and the pure metal fans. They were very sound technically, and the music was just brilliant. Their albums don't even compare to their live performances - they're just spectacular!

  • Eluveitie was awesome

by derzach on 2/27/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Eluveitie was the highlight of the lineup for sure. The other bands were just Ok. Venue was not too crowded which was nice.

  • Eluveitie delivered beyond expected!

by Damarcas on 2/27/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

The band's energy, performance, and connection to the audience was outstanding. The setlist was, in my opinion, very well picked. The venue sound was ok but a band of such level and that utilizes so many instruments at any given moment deserves a better venue sound so everything can be distinguised a bit better. Over all, I loved the show! Thanks to the band for coming all the way to Florida!

  • Great Show!

by WolfandRaven on 2/27/11Firestone Live - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Eluveitie was just as crisp live as they are on their recorded albums, and you can tell they are genually have a great time on stage. Great interaction with the croud. I will definately catch them again if they come back to town.

  • Awesome!

by tampakirby on 2/26/11State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Musically one of the best live shows I've ever seen. Some bands don't translate well into their live shows but Eluveitie was great. I especially loved their musicianship and rich layered songs. The crowd was not real big (weeknight) but extremely enthusiastic. The two songs that really stood out were "Slania's Song" and "Inis Mona". I also was impressed that they came back for 2 more songs with their encore. When they come back to Florida I'll definitely see them again! I liked the opening acts, especially Holy Grail. Hadn't really heard anything by them before but was impressed-real tight musically.

  • A great time

by tencms on 2/26/11State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

Of the guest bands, our surprise favorite was System Divide. The female singer had a great sound, husky and strong. I'll be looking for them again and buying their songs. The venue was great. I'm surprised it wasn't more crowded, but it allowed for a very personal experience with the bands. It was, however, the loudest concert I've attended to date and, having forgotten my ear plugs, two days later my ears are still ringing! Eluveitie gives a great live performance (especially in the tight space they had available at this venue).

  • There aren't words.

by ngreen on 2/12/11Granada - LawrenceRating: 5 out of 5

Eluveitie is by far one of the best live shows you could possibly see. The energy that comes from this band is unbelievable. The first time I saw them, I drove over 7 hours to make it and I would go farther in a heartbeat to see them again. The only sad thing about being a US fan of this band is how rare shows are here in the states. If you ever get a chance, you must see them perform. It will blow you away.

  • Eluveitie, JUST amazing

by Dragonsymphony on 4/21/10Peabody's Downunder - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

What can ya say, this group is grandiose in every aspect. There's 8 members of the band, they carry with them 14 different instruments, and it makes for a truly awesome show. The Vocalist is as strong as they come, the guitarists ans drummers are awesome, the girls playing the fiddle and hurdy-gurdy, as well as backing vocals, just makes for an awe inspiring stage show. I HIGHLY recommend seeing these guys live if you like their folk style metal. Too bad theyre still relegated to small clubs :(

  • Well Put Together

    by Thedude2 on 4/21/10Peabody's Downunder - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

It was a very well put together show by both Holy Grail and Eluveitie. Hurdi Gurdi's, flutes, fidels, what else could you ask for.

  • Heathenfest was AWESOME

by Briirox on 11/18/09BLONDIES - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I'm a huge fan of folk-metal so every single band that played here was pretty awesome. Belphagar and Vreid were even okay too, even though they're not much folk-metal as they are just... heavy metal. But doesn't matter!! It was still awesome!! I was right up against the stage! I love how small of a venue Blondies is.
