    Elliott Rocked the Rock

by JayFlo on 1/9/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

Elliott Yamin did a fantastic job and his set list covered both the "Elliott Yamin" & "Fight for Love" CDs. The venue was not as organized as what we were expecting. We arrived 30 minutes before the 7:00 PM concert and there wasn't any identifiable staff directing attendees where to go at first. From a comfort level, the Rock was a bit too drafty considering it was 23 degrees outside. This alone would stop us from seeing future acts at this particular location. There were four (4) opening acts, so Elliott didn't hit the stage until 9:30 PM. Once he did start, his vocals far exceeded my expectations for a live act. His performance overshadowed the shortcomings of the Crocodile Rock. I would give Elliott’s performance 5 stars, but the venue gets 3 stars.

    Great show Elliott

    by anubis44 on 1/9/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

Elliott sounded great. He did a stripped down show with 4 other guys one of which was his back-up singer. I believe he did all of the songs off his newest CD and a few of the more popular songs from his first one. There were 3 local acts that were on stage before Elliott's opening act Matt Brodeur and we really could've done without them but we enjoyed Matt. All in all, well done Elliott...and Matt.

    Elliott Yamin is one word...AMAZING!!!

    by Kimbo2822 on 1/9/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

On Elliott's last tour I was only there to see an opening act, but I completely fell in love with Elliott's music and his stage presence. He is one of the nicest and funniest guys I have ever met. The show at the Crocodile Rock last night was way over due. Its has been over a year since Elliott has been on tour. He did an accoustic set last night, which very was awesome. It was very stripped down, but you could still get your dance on and I totally got mine on. It was a perfect night and it was one of the best ELLIOTT YAMIN shows I have been too. Thank you Elliott for coming back to Allentown!

    Elliott Yamin unplugged...

by Ciece on 1/9/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

Unplugged, well, sort of, not totally unplugged. But totally awesome. There are only a few artists out there that can get away with making their show acoustic and having it still sound as amazing as that show did last night. Flawless and really great!

    Elliott is always the bomb

    by teach76 on 1/8/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

Small venue and probably less people than would have come due to weather. Elliott always makes time for his fans after the show. His set was short but his voice is like no other. I wish more people would get to know him. They would not be disappointed.

    Come back to Pittsburgh Elliott!!

by DinaPgh on 1/8/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

My friend and I saw Elliott Yamin at the Altar Bar in Pittsburgh, PA last evening. He is a true performer, and delivers with passion. The venue was great, a converted church that allowed his notes to soar and small enough that we were right there close up. He didn't disappoint. Elliott loves his fans and stayed after the show to meet every one. Andy, a member of his crew is a perfect addition--very nice guy. I was also thrilled to see that Sway was working with him. Incredible voice!! The format of this show was very special--the five of them doing an all-acoustic playlist. I will definitely see him again! Keep making great music Elliott--Look forward to meeting you "outside" again sometime!

    Elliott was excellent!

by rrsstt on 1/8/10Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

Elliott was excellent as I expected. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars was I expected the show to start at 8 and it did not start until 9:30. Let's face it , this is an older working crowd on a workday night. In addition it was snowing and the roads were getting bad. The other entertainers were good, but we did not come to see them. Also, the bartenders were not very friendly on the first floor. We were also told we could not take a drink in the front area and find that every person ultimately sitting there had a drink! What is up with that??? Again, the only reason we went was to see Elliott and he was wonderful!!!! I would give Elliott 5 stars and the venue 2-3.

    Powerful vocals

by BigDaddyRebel on 1/7/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Elliott did a great job with his vocals. This was the first show of his new tour, and his band was a little ragged at times, but that didn't detract from the powerful performance he gave. Matt Brodeur did a nice job as the warm-up, too. Elliott was gracious enough to stick around for a meet-and-greet afterward. It is nice to see performers who demonstrate that they appreciate their fans through both their words and actions.

He sang like he meant it!

by SamPlater on 1/5/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Elliott Yamin sang his heart out at the Birchmere on Saturday, January 2nd. I highly recommend catching him on tour. I enjoyed his opening act, Matt Brodeur, as well.

    One word = Amazing!

by IheartElliott on 1/4/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Elliott still has amazing vocals and put on an awesome show. And, his backup vocalist was fellow American Idol contestant Sway! Afterwards, Elliott did a meet and greet.

    My American Idol

by Anonymous on 1/3/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Elliott us a natural powerful singer. He is definitely better than Taylor Hicks who bet him on American Idol. Yup I am Elliott's fan. He's got raw natural talent. If he had better management his fame could soar like a flame

    Elliott never disappoints!

by Bestlemon on 1/3/10Birchmere - Alexandria

This acoustic performance is musically pristine. The entire group gives generously of themselves and Elliott's soulful pipes resinate with every heartbeat.

    EY was OK

    by TSFan1080 on 1/3/10Birchmere - Alexandria

EY and his band performed a solid show last night, but nothing special. He went through his albums casually in an intimate dinner theater. Even though we were all super close, he never really connected with the audience. His banter back and fourth was very awkward and contrived and never felt authentic. He would fumble for things to say until he would blurt out a seemingly scripted introduction to his next song as if someone had fed him the line. He stopped and restarted one of his songs because the groups was off, which actually was one of the more authentic and enjoyable moments. His singing was nothing different than is found on his album and there were no big surprises in the set list. There was no mention of his Idol experience and he came across as just another traveling band struggling to make it. His dedicated fans loved the show and sat front and center, but I'm not sure he generated any new fans or energized any casual ones. For his encore song Elliot did an A-cappella song that brought the house down. It was totally different from the rest of the show and generated a solid connection that was missing the rest of the time. Had his show been more in that style I would be writing a much different review.

Elliott Yamin - One Word = Amazing

by HarleyWoman on 1/3/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Elliott Yamin is awesome in concert. His show at the Birchmere on 1/2/2010 was the first time I have seem him do an accoustic show and I want more. Everyone should see this man in concert that's all I got to say. He has an incredible voice that just gives you chills. I hope he comes back to The Birchmere often, I love seeing him at this venue.

    Unplugged, on target

by Bowleytraveler on 1/3/10Birchmere - Alexandria

The E Train was right on track last night. Elliott and his group played a great set, including an accapella reprise of "A Song For You", which brought down the house. Birchmere is a wonderful venue to be up close and personal with the performers. Get there early for best seats. Food is ok. Waitstaff is professional. A good time was had by all!
