  • Unfortunate Messiness

by Luke Bendel on 10/18/25Dolby Theatre - HollywoodRating: 2 out of 5

I was really excited about this concert, and I was having an awesome time until it got to Godrick. I noticed something about the music was a little off, but it wasn’t so prevalent until the orchestra made it through Stormveil and to Godrick, where the unfortunately terrible sound mixing made itself known. The entire male choir was pretty much silent with the female choir also being hard to hear, which really made some boss OST’s like Godrick, Radahn, Rykard, Mohg, and Godfrey essentially instrumental. I wish I had more to say positively about the orchestra, but I really didn’t hear any of it very well which isn’t necessarily the fault of the orchestra itself. The gameplay that was shown on the screen was extremely cool and cinematic at times, and repetitive and inexperienced at others. I absolutely loved the way that the different areas were shown; with the background song playing over some cinematic shots of the environment. I also really like when there would be some kind of slow-mo shot mid-fight and when the player character would use different armor sets and weapons throughout. However, some of the gameplay shown was really weird of even hard to watch, with most of the gameplay mid-fight was just regular combat that everybody could play themselves, instead of the (What I thought was) much cooler and immersive cinematic shots where the camera was not attached to the character. Also blocking and using guard counters on Malenia for some dumb reason. This might have only bothered me, but the order that some things were shown in was also strange. Like fighting Malenia before Fire Giant, ( which would have meant getting the haligtree medallion from Niall and going back to the lift) or Mohg right after the Regal Spirit, or even fighting Sewer Mohg after the real one. Not a huge deal but it kinda caught me off guard. I wish I had more positive stuff to say but there were so many parts that threw me off or simply disappointed me that I really can’t.

  • Underwhelming, but a good time.

The performance itself was a bit underwhelming. Mainly the drums and choir. For this epic masterpiece of a score, they really need to have a bigger orchestra. I have seen another orchestra do it better (Danish National Symphony Orchestra) look it up on youtube. For this to be an "official"Bandai concert, it felt more like a cover. It's still a good time nonetheless, but not worth the cost.

  • Meh...take it or leave it

by Zx on 10/15/25Dolby Theatre - HollywoodRating: 3 out of 5

The montage was nice, the gameplay within the montage could've been better. The music was good, however the tempo of the music did not match the tempo of the gameplay. It could've been better but it wasn't terrible, it just needed a fine tuning. If I could sum up this whole experience as a song, it felt like it should've been a second demo rather than the final product. If timing and or funding was the biggest issue to make it perfect, they did what they could and I'll leave it at that.

  • Exceptional Show

This was an awesome show to see. The orchestra was amazing and the entire experience as a whole was well put together. Very happy with the show and I would definitely go again if I got the chance.

  • Loved the concert but venue needed to be better managed

by Sbergfan on 10/14/25Dolby Theatre - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was good overall. I just wish they included some tracks from the DLC. My biggest gripe was that the venue only had one merch table open. This resulted in an enormously long line extending up the central staircase and no time to purchase anything during the short intermission or before the concert even though I arrived a half hour early. So I had to decide if I was willing to miss part of the concert to buy something. Once the concert was over, you could go, but then they were out of nearly everything.
