  • make your fans feel what you are all about

The event was way too short. We love this musical group we expected a few more songs . The itinerary said the show was supposed to run from 8pm to 11pm the show started at 8:30 and it finish at 10:00 pm . The theater had no TV screen so if you were seating sideways you couldn't see the band

Too short They used to have at least one guest No merchandise to sell

  • Great band, so so venue

by Anavangilst on 8/3/12Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

My first time at Hard Rock Live in Fort Lauderdale and was a bit desapointed with the place. It feels like a high school gym and, for a venue dedicated to music the acustics were way below what I expected. The band was great but those guys would be great playing anywhere... Not sure if I would go back to events at that place.

  • 50 is the new 30!!

by ricanlink on 8/3/12Hard Rock Live - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was amazing!!! Hard to believe they're celebrating 50yrs! They sang, danced and at no moment did they look like they were "old". They played old songs, none of the new stuff, but they are celebrating the "50th anniversary", so that was expected. Overall it was a great concert. Didn't sit in my seat once! Def a must see :D

  • terrible

by Casimirita on 9/20/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 1 out of 5

This event was TERRIBLE!! I think terrible is short to describe this event. It started an hour and a half late. It was passed midnite and the singers we went there for never showed up.. Instead some other unknown singers were there.. Helloooo I didnot pay to see them Overall this event was TERRIBLE!!! Refunds!!

  • Gran Combo & Andy ... the best!

by mcsalsa on 9/18/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 4 out of 5

The concert started about 2 hrs behind the schedule!. However the wait was worth it. Milly Quezada, Andy & El Gran Combo were great!... did not care much about the others

  • EL Gran Combo with Andy Montanez, were GREAT

by Anonymous on 9/17/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 4 out of 5

The Gran Combo and Andy Montanez were not billed to play together. Andy came on first and thrilled the packed house with his sons singing back-up. Then two other acts followed. By the time the Gran Combo took the stage it was about one hour later. I figured Andy would be half way back to P.R. by that time. But he did stick around and joined the Grand Combo and sang a few songs they made popular back in the day, and they did not disappoint. They opened with one of my favorites, GUAGUANCO DEL GRAN COMBO. The audiance came alive with excitement, as if to say, THANK-YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT YEARS OF SALSA MUSIC. The other acts were just O.K., which was fine by me, because I paid to see the greatest salsa band of our age. I wish then continued success so that I can continue to paid to see them. I do have one complaint, The sonud system in the theater was a little to loud, that's why I rated the show only 4 STARS.

  • el gran combo and andy montan~ez concert

    by salsero2010 on 9/13/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 4 out of 5

The event started about 1hour and 15 minutes late which would have been ok if there had been something for people to do during that time; but there were no announcements until about 50 minutes into the delay. The big stars: Milly, El Gran Combo and Andy Montan~ez, had very short performances compared to the bachata group and the colombian group which seemed to me should have been all the way around given the prestige and musical career of the first three listed above. Other than that, It was great to see Andy and El Gran Combo together and listen to such salsa classics that made them famous; and to have Milly there was just icing on the cake. What a great idea to put them all together in one concert.

  • a late start...

    by Salsera2 on 9/13/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 3 out of 5

NOT HAPPY that the concert started an 1 1/2 hours late! There are a few more reasons for my disappointment with this concert... Valet parking was incredibly high at $40!! Now, I paid the valet parking because I wanted to make sure we were on time and then to find that the concert would start late. Ticket Master had the WRONG address listed as 403 Grand Concourse which would have caused us to be late (8pm start) if we had to search around for parking. That's why I rated a 3. I would recommend a concert with Andy Montanez or Gran Combo but would not recommend a concert held at Paradise Theatre. This is not the way to treat paying guests and not be compensated in some way for the inconvenience ie., less $$ for valet parking, or 1/ 2 price refreshments, or 2 free empanadas, or something. (The sodas were outrageous at $5 for a small cup.) Now, once the concert started it was FANTASTIC, however because it had a late start it also ended very late at 1am.

  • Good performances although concert started late

    by JCM76 on 9/13/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 3 out of 5

The main issue was the concert was scheduled for 8PM and did not start until after 9PM. They did not inform the crowd of the reason(s) for the delay until close to 9PM. Needless to say the crowd got restless and started booing. With the time crunch it forced the performers to go a lot quicker than they wanted to. This was especially true for El Gran Combo who did not perform until 11PM. If they sang a total of 10 songs I would be surprised. Since the tickets were close to $100 each, it was definitely not worth the price of admission. With the theater only being maybe 3/4's full, that should have sent a message to the promoters that it was overpriced, especially with the economy being what it is.

  • El Gran Combo

    by Tg352 on 9/13/10Paradise Theater - BronxRating: 4 out of 5

Although, the show itself was very good, it was very disorganized, whereas, if you bill a show to start @ 8 pm, why would you not start it until almost 9:30pm and not say anything to your auduience. Myself and a number of the people in the audience felt that this was very unprofessional. In the future, the audience should be kept better informed.

  • Not worth it

    by siouxie23 on 8/17/10The Venue - HammondRating: 2 out of 5

Although El Gran Combo played an amazing set, they only played for a little over an hour. For 40 dollars a ticket - plus the amount of time it took to get The Venue, I do not believe it was worth going to. My wife and I were very disappointed with choice of venue for this concert. The Venue itself was a nice looking location but The Horseshoe casino was dirty and had a foul smell. I would not go again and would not recommend to others.

  • El Gran Combo

What a fabulous show!!! It was one big walk down 'ol memory lane hearing all that old salsa!! Un exito!!!

  • El Gran Combo was "tremendo"!

by Evielina on 8/16/10The Venue - HammondRating: 5 out of 5

This was an exciting event. I saw several people that I hadn't seen in years. Hopefully The Venue will continue to bring more latin artists. I like the idea that I don't have to go all the way to Chicago for a concert like this.
