    Amazing amazing amazing!!!

by moe01984 on 7/19/12Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

This concert was amazing! Silversun Pickups rocked. Billy Talent was phenominal. My husband and I went to the concert for our belated honeymoon. 30,000+ screaming, dancing, awesome fans and some really great tunes made for a really great time. We will be making this an annual trip from now on. We traveled 5 hours from Michigan to Toronto and it was soooooo worth it. 102.1 The Edge hosted a fantastic show.

102.1 The Edge put on a great fest. I loved the lineup and the energy of the bands and the fans. I've been to quite a few concerts and this one tops my list. So much crowd surfing and fun. The Silversun Pickups rocked and Billy Talent was fantastic.

Billy Talent was amazing as usual

by fredo985 on 7/16/12Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

It was awesome. I really only went for Billy Talent. Had no clue who any of the other bands were and I didn't leave knowing any of them either. Line up could have been better. Electric tent was pretty good and change of music. The VIP section was awesome to get away from the crowd and get a beer or food and not having to wait a long time. There was no VIP floor access as it was stated. If you have VIP, then have the front blocked off completely and away from the mosh pit.

    hotdryfun

by loveismusic on 7/16/12Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

Music was awesome!, loved the new dance tent! Nice that stages were further apart this year - but too far - had to keep moving around to overhear something new, not planned - and it was too hot to do that! A few shelter tents or mist tents would have been humanitarian! Also, more water refill stations. Layout was different and reduced congestion, but was confusing and easy to miss stuff- and people watching wasn't as easy - sure I missed someone or two! !Port-a-potty lines were much shorter and not congested this year -

Great day, VIP seats were a waste of money. Didn't even get the t-shirt that was supposed to be a part of the package

    Billy Talent Ripped!

by AuralB on 7/16/12Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

Although it was a long, hot day, and my energy level was not where I'd have liked it to be, Billy Talent came on and rocked out! They could not have been tighter! USS got the party going right - loved them. Dirty Heads where way better than I thought they'd be, which was great! Sheep Dog's and Silversun Pickups delivered great performances as well. It was just too hot at that point to fully appreciate them both. Death from above 1979, eh not that impressed by them, but the crowd seemed to be loving them so to each his own, eh? Again Billy Talent blew me away - they know how to deliver a high energy performance that you just gotta jam to!! All and All the whoile event was great!

Billy Talent rocked my face off at Edgefest!!!!!

by Voswa1716 on 7/16/12Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

This year was my first Edgefest and absolutely loooved it! First of I'm from Buffalo, NY, so anytime I can come to Toronto is a good time, but Edgefest was unforgettable. Every band I got the chance to see was phenomenal. Unfortunately I missed USS, but I've seen them before so it was OK. The Dirty heads were the first band I saw and they killed their set; it was awesome. Then came Young the Giant and I was very impressed by them. One complaint I do have is that the ATM machines were not working with my credit card and I'm not sure why, but that was a big inconvenience. I definitely would have spent more money if I had had access to it. The Sheepdogs were good as usual. I also partook in a few games that were offered and won a few shirts. The slip n' slide was super fun and cooled us off. We also got to play drunken badminton which was fun! The dance tent was a great addition. Said the Whale was really good... They have now become my new favorite band! And thanks to Edgefest I got to seem up close on the Side Stage. My three favorite bands of the night were Silversun Pickups, Death From Above 1979 and of course, the one and only BILLY TALENT!! I must say Billy Talent never disappoints and always puts on a killer show. My friend and I decided to go crowd surfing during their set and it was one of the best feelings in the world! Well thank you for putting on a great show 102.1!!!

No real head liners! Sorry Billy talent

by Sugarglidder on 7/16/12Downsview Park Allen Road - Toronto

The sound was really bad on the main stage! The bands were average. The side stage had great sound and most of the bands were great. Billy talent! Headliner. I don't think so! Silver sun pick ups rocked! Pretty much everyone else on the main stage were average! Billy talent was good, but not a headliner! I wouldn't go again if that was the line up! And you need more water refill stations. Thanks Sugarglidder

    EDGEFEST LITTLE ROCK

by urnightmare on 5/22/11Arkansas State Fairgrounds - Little Rock

EDGEFEST is the best music fest that i have ever attended. The worst part is how security doesnt care about the concert goers. they charge people $10 for a bottle of water and people are so crowded and dehidrated they pay it cause you cant get out to go to vendors. They need a new system of keeping people cool. Water hoses has been used at other festivals to prevent people from passing out from heat. Something needs to be done about this but other than that it is an awesome music experiance.

Please go back to the main stage and slide stage format. It made things less crowded feeling and gave different people a chance to get toward the front.

NO seating not enough trash cans disgusting!!

by Lilmissie on 4/29/11Arkansas State Fairgrounds - Little Rock

First off there was absolutely no seating! Was told you could not bring anything in with you so we didnt bring chairs. There were hardly any trash cans. No where to wash your hands after using the port a potty... Music was not very loud had to get close to stage to hear since I am short I could not see!! No re-entry having special dietary needs I had to leave to get something to eat that I could not obtain there and was not allowed to come back in!!! It was horrible and a waste of money!!

My Darkest Days and Three Days Grace were awesome

by rocker92 on 4/28/11Arkansas State Fairgrounds - Little Rock

Overall the bands were great, but the two bands that stole the show were My Darkest Days and Three Days Grace were amazing! My Darkest Days rocked hard and engaged the crowd quite a bit. Three Days Grace was full of surprises, playing I Don't Care, Adam Gontier rapping, and bringing in a Limp Bizkit song.

I may have internal bruising, but I don't care!!

by Mominfront on 4/27/11Arkansas State Fairgrounds - Little Rock

Putting the stages side by side was genius! I didn't have to miss any of my favorite bands! I was having such a difficult time deciding where I wanted to be, I thought my head might explode, thank you for saving me from that fate. I have managed to get both of my teenagers to the VERY front now! My 17 year old daughter last year for FFDP and my 16 year old (guys never make it to the front) son this year for 7dust and 3 Days Grace. Am I the most awesome mom or what?! My daughter knows how to do it now and was at the front without my help! I am making sure to teach them how it is done. I will never forget the times that we have shared and I look forward to many more. We are all family! I love you all!! Peaceful and beautiful and chaotic all at the same time! I even got to eat a PeeP - WooHoo ")

I went to Edgefest in 2008 when it was at the Ampitheater and had 6 (?) bands. I loved it. It had seats available as well as standing area. There was plenty of room to move around and enjoy yourself. This year, however, it was so crowded that I was miserable all day long. I had drove about 2 hours so I stayed. I enjoyed Halestorm, Seether, and Stone Sour. My main reason for attending was Avenged Sevenfold because I had purchased tickets in 2008 to see them in Memphis (before the death of Rev) and they had backed out of the concert. So I was excited to finally be seeing them. However, by the time they got on stage, I was miserable, hot, claustrophobic, sick of being touched and tired of being brushed up against. I still remained excited to see them, but the sound quality during their performance was horrible...the little bit of background music (track) playing sounded like it was "drowning out" the band playing, and the band playing sounded like it was overwhelming Matt's singing. Next year, I would recommend going back to the Ampitheater, selling the number of tickets that the venue will comfortably accomodate, maybe working on sound quality, and providing trash cans/more trash cans.
