ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN IN CONCERT:
Formed in the late-'70s wake of punk's first wave, Echo & the Bunnymen forged a unique fusion of post-punk, new wave, and neo-psychedelia that established them as pioneers of a new direction in British rock. Today the band's moody, sophisticated sound is as compelling as ever, and their spellbinding live shows are the perfect place to experience it in the flesh. Whether brooding frontman Ian McCulloch is belting out classics from seminal 1984 album Ocean Rain or performing new material from 2014's Meteorites, Echo & the Bunnymen never fail to mesmerize with muscular musicianship and intense performances on their unforgettable tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Echo & the Bunnymen formed in Liverpool in 1978, taking their name from a list of nonsensical monikers suggested by a friend. The band made their debut in 1979 with "The Pictures on My Wall", released on the now-legendary Mute Records imprint. Their 1980 album debut Crocodiles was a critical and commercial success, cracking the UK Top 20 and setting the stage for the success of sophomore album Heaven Up Here, which reached the Top 10 in 1981. Their chart run continued in 1983 with third album Porcupine, the vessel for hit singles "The Back of Love" and "The Cutter" and predecessor to the band's landmark 1984 album Ocean Rain, widely considered by critics as the pinnacle of their '80s output. After taking a hiatus between 1993-1996 the band reformed with a vengeance, scoring another Top 10 hit with "Nothing Lasts Forever" and delivering a powerful series of performances on tour. With their 12th studio album Meteorites hitting shelves in 2104, Echo & the Bunnymen have fans eagerly awaiting their next live shows. Previously, Echo & the Bunnymen has sold out venues to capacity, like The Fillmore (Minneapolis) and Fox Theater (Oakland).
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"Amazing show. Ian's voice has not changed a bit. The band sounds the same as the first time I heard them. Bravo!"
"The Bunnymen did amazing renditions of their albums. The improvisation on Crocodiles brought back many great live memories of Bunnymen past shows."
"It was an amazing show. The band sounded incredible and Ian was very much a dynamic presence. Two complete albums were played, along with encores, so it was definitely a show to remember."

Awesome sauce 100% brother, had lots of fun !! The Cutter was my fav yo !! :3c
Great show, Ian's voice struggled a little with the Texas allergies, but his overload of Scouse banter made up for it. Never stop boys....
E&BM are amazing. Loved them since their beginnings. This is the 2nd time I’ve seen them live and their music is always magnetic and mesmerizing. I was super impressed with the opening act Black Tie Dynasty. First time I’ve heard them and I’ve become an instant fan.
The stage was dark and could not see the band. Paid good money to see the band!
The title says it the best. Truly a transcendent show; like being taken back in time. It's an experience I'll never forget.
Echo and the Bunnymen delivered a captivating performance at their recent concert here in Dallas at House of Blues. blending their classic hits with an energy that resonated throughout the venue. From the iconic vocals of Ian McCulloch to the atmospheric guitar riffs from Will Sergeant. the band transported the audience to another realm. With a setlist that pleased both longtime fans and newcomers alike. it was a night filled with nostalgia and sheer musical brilliance.
I wasn't able to enjoy the music. You could barely see the group, lighting was bad and sometimes you couldn't hear the music well. I wish it would have been in a close venue. Too bad.
Echo & The Bunnymen sounded great and definitely worth it!!!
Awesome venue! Echo did a great job making sure they got to all of the songs everybody loved.
Ian McCullough is one of the best vocalist and songwriters of this era 80s till now. Echo and the Bunnymen sounded awesome. Plenty of people ( sold out) . Teenagers and old people like me,, we were all there and the band did not disappoint! Wish they would’ve played a few more songs . I will definitely see them again! Great Venue as well!
Great show - good energy from the band, a big sound and Ian’s unique vocals sounded great.
Great show. Ian still has it. Two encores, yet done by 10:30 pm so us old folks can get home and to bed at a decent time. The one guy slinging merch could have used some help, but we chatted up the people in line to pass the time.
This was NOT our favorite show. The music was good, but the lead singer was hard to understand when talking between songs and did not engage the crowd. We left halfway through the show.
Absolutely loved thw show. My Bestie and I are absent Echo fans and the minute the tickets were out I bought them. The show was great and the crowd was loving it!
I saw the Bunnymen all 3 nights for the recent US shows (Mountain Winery, Cruel World and Gila River Resorts). They were all amazing! Ian sounded fantastic and I appreciate his humor and story telling with the crowds. Will was spot on and it's always great to watch his creativity come through. The entire band all seemed excited to be playing. So looking forward to any future dates in the US and I hope they are soon!
I brought a friend who only went because I wanted to go, She said it was probably the best show she's ever been to. It's in the tops for me too. They played so many hits and songs that we knew, I think the newest song was from 2001. I'm down for new music from my favorite bands, but it made it extra special to just hear the ones we already knew and loved. The whole band was on point with the iconic parts that we were expecting. I'll see them every time they are in town.
Excellent small intimate venue. Band was amazing. Love it.
Sound quality was pretty good compared to Cruel World festival destroying "The Damned" show last year. These band members are getting up there in age and having their voices drowned out by hyped up volume ruins the entire experience. This show, "Echo and Bunnyman" was pretty near perfect with sound and levels. THANK you for that!!! I could hear his BEAUTIFUL voice clearly as well as the sounds of each instrument and that is IMPORTANT at a venue no matter the band!!!
My bestie & I are diehard 80s concert lovers. This venue was so nice & comfortable. The concert was amazing. Echo & The Bunnymen sounded just the same as in the 80s!
Prior reviews for The Bunnymen that we read from last years tour made us think may not be a great show— However- Ian McCulloch's vocals were PERFECTION and was a great set list. We are happy to have experienced their performance.
