Born and raised in rural Gilchrist County, FL, Easton Corbin remembered wanting to be a country singer as early as three or four years old. He spent a good deal of time at his grandparents’ cattle farm following his parents’ divorce, and aside from helping on the farm and being active in the local FFA and 4-H chapters, Corbin fell in love with the various Opry television shows that aired on Saturday nights. He also spent time exploring his grandfather’s record collection, which included several titles left behind by his father and his aunts. Corbin began taking guitar lessons at the age of 15, turning to his mentor, former Nashville session guitarist Pee Wee Melton, for instruction. Soon, he was playing lead guitar in a local band while also honing a solo act. A fortunate audition at a local music store led to a solo spot on-stage at the nearby Suwannee River Jam festival, and soon he was securing opening slots for national acts like Janie Fricke and Mel McDaniel.
After earning a business degree from the College of Agriculture at the University of Florida, Corbin married and moved to Nashville in 2006 to try his hand at becoming a professional country singer. He caught the ears of booking agent James Yelich and Universal Music Group Nashville’s Senior Director of A&R, Joe Fisher, who immediately signed Corbin to the group’s Mercury Nashville imprint in 2009. Working with producer Carson Chamberlain, he released his debut single, "A Little More Country Than That," in July of that same year, following it with a four-song EP under the same title a month later. Both releases led up to the arrival of his full-length debut, Easton Corbin, in 2010. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
Easton Corbin puts on a wonderful show. It wasn't a real long show, but it was very good!
Easton Corbin was very good. but the staff from the blue note was rude and hateful i will not be back there for any other concert....
only played like 5 of his own songs and all the rest were other peoples songs that he covered. i would of liked to have heard his own stuff not others stuff
I would totally recommend to my friends who couldn't go! It was a great time!
Good show the first two opening acts were not so great, the last opening act was good, and Easton rocked guess that's why he won country music best new artiest of the year and his roll with it song was number one on the charts.....good job Easton Corbin hope to see you in michigan again.
I took my daughter she loved the concert. Easton Corbin put on amazing show. Easton can perform and he interacts with the fans which is a major plus. There were 3 opening band they were good. My daughter was happy that all that counts.
This concert was one of the best concerts I have ever been to... it's worth buying tickets to this concert if you have the chance!
This was amazing, Easton Corbin played a great show. It was awsome and would do it again if he ever came back to San Antonio the folks at Cowboys were great awesome Valet parking and can hardly wait for the next concert.
Excellent show! I love Easton Corbin. Ticket prices were reasonable. But we got there at 7:00 to get good seats and the show didnt start until about 11:00 pm or later. I am not into the bar scene and did not enjoy the wait before the show. I sat and drank free coffee......
A great show!!!! Easton put on a fantastic set! He really did a phenomenal job! I went and bought his cd on iTunes the next day. He even does a great George Strait!
Great show and had a wounderful time. Dale Mince Will do it again....................
I appreciated his dedication to being on time for his performance. Sound was excellent, performance was energetic, the atmosphere was contagiously fun. I also had the opportunity to meet him and thought that he was very genuine and kind down to earth artist.
Venue is excellent, the sound was perfect for once. Well organized!
I love this man. He's an amazing singer and will around for a long time. He put on an amazing show with i believe a sold out performance. I know i could not walk in the place. He really knows how to turn on the crowed and has an amazing smile! I hope he comes back someday soon, but it won't be at Cowboys dancehall as he will need a bigger place. " I love you and your music Easton. Your amazing!!!!!.
My only complaint was that he was scheduled to begin playing at 9:30 and he didn't begin until 10:45. This upset me. Buy he put on a great show!
he is a lot of fun to go listen to. he interacted with the crowd very well.
My niece Michele and her son Jason(who has down syndrome). Were treated like honored guests. They had a meet & greet with Easton. Backstage he took the time to take pictures and autograph a picture for Jason. Mark Rogers was also very nice for making this happen for Jason. He dearly loves country music and this was his first concert.
Absolutely fantastic! I loved that he did originals and awesome covers.
The opening band was not too impressive. They started at 9 and played for almost an hour. Then it was another hour before Easton Corbin took the stage and he did several cover songs and his first single twice. Not too impressed with him either.
Easton Corbin was Awesome, Friendly & a Hottie & ETC. I will be seeing him again. so tell him to come back to Louisiana.
