This was a great show! I had not seen Dylan Moran before, but he was really good live! He had a good mix of mostly new material with a few classic bits thrown in, and interacted with the audience in funny ways. I am a big fan of DM from his dvds, and I was not disappointed!

by KTDM on 6/26/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonDylan Moran exceeded expectations. I was a bit unsure how he would work live, stand up. He provoked absolutely unstoppable laughter. My $16.50 martini in a plastic cup was certainly pricey. And the shoulder-to-shoulder seating was a bit tight. But that didn't detract from the main event, which was enjoying what Dylan had to say. And in some cases, not say.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Dylan Moran is fantastic!
by refreshingtranquility on 6/24/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonI learned of Irish comedian Dylan Moran through YouTube clips mainly, and found footage of his stand-up work when he was in his twenties. Think he's a great writer in regards to his stories/jokes, and hoped he would tour in the U.S.! My friend had never been to a comedy show, and thought he was very funny.
Rating: 5 out of 5 On par with his other specials
by vandownbyriver on 6/24/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonI really enjoy Dylan Moran's style, and this set was incredibly satisfying. 98% all-new material, and even stuff that had been used earlier was pretty quickly passed over. He handles crowds very well, which is good, because it sounded like the equivalent of a farm at times in the lower levels (a couple audience members apparently felt the NEED to make noise). Unlike a lot of comedians I know, Dylan splits his set in two, with an intermission in between. I do think the second half was notably stronger than the first half, but the show was never weak by any means. I was also impressed with the turnout (it was just about full), considering I only have a couple friends who know who Dylan Moran is. Dunno if I'd recommend seeing him without researching what his style is like, only because some might not enjoy it. I find him hysterical.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Dylan Moran is fabulous
by BeccaGraham on 6/24/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonThe venue was marred by a protest of former employees but Dylan Moran was fabulously funny and energetic. After seeing him last time I can say his routine has greatly improved. I brought my son and his girlfriend who was not aware of his work yet she laughed continuously. I was very close to the stage which was amazing but there was little room to move and you were sitting with strangers across from you. I thought I was buying a table of four tickets but instead they seated us in a line across from 4 other people sharing two drink tables. It would be better for the venue to seat 4 tickets in a row together instead of in a line. Dylan was Well done! The venue has become less of a good thing.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Show
by wbss12 on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonThe show was great. A laugh a minute. Dylan Moran is so down to earth and clever in his thinking that he could make a nun laugh during a church service.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Dylan Moran does fantastic standup
by crazy4catstoo on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonDylan Moran's standup was incredibly funny, talking about Boston, Ireland, life, kids. If you do not like vulgar language, his routine is not for you. I loved the show. Thanks for coming, Dylan!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Dylan Moran was just as I had hoped!
by Pokey777 on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonWe brought our entire bookstore crew to the show and were not disappointed. He was really funny and the Wilbur Theater is great. The people that work there are fun and well organized.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Dylan Moran was everything I expected!
by ppoc on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonFirst time at a live comedy show and I had an amazing time! Time really did fly when we went to watch Dylan Moran! Highly recommended!! As for the Wilbur Theater, we were seated on Balcony Right and really liked the seats. The only problem was directly in front of us (front row of Balcony Right) there were a few very bright uncovered light bulbs as part of the theater decoration (I think) so it was very annoying. But the people in that row fixed this problem by putting some jackets over the bulbs to shield us all from the blinding glare.

by laurabora on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonI'm a big fan of Black Books and loved seeing Dylan Moran live. The show was fantastic, the venue was perfect and the beer was tastily though grossly overpriced. What a fun evening!
Rating: 5 out of 5by Bunnygal on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - Boston Dylan was fantastically funny as always. He seemed a bit tired, though. I do have one complaint: a woman who kept shouting out nonsense, clapping at strange internals and barking like a dog. It not only upset the audience but caused dylan to lose his rhythm more than once. If he never comes back to Boston it is her fault. She should have been removed from the theatre.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Dylan Moran is brilliant
by Thisdiva on 6/23/13Wilbur Theatre - BostonDylan Moran does stand up just as hilarious as his movies and television shows. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary, as we are both big fans. Had a great night!!!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Fantastic
by Bunnygal on 3/12/13Theatre 80 - New YorkDylan puts on an unforgettable show. He had us in hysterics for the whole of the show. He seemed quite relaxed and confident, and clearly did his research before taking the stage. We were lucky to meet him afterwards and he is a very nice guy.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 12/22/12Marines Memorial Theatre - San Francisco I don't think that I have laughed that hard and that long before in my life. I'd see him again in a heartbeat.
Rating: 5 out of 5 My face hurt for hours afterward
by EbayCEO on 12/17/12Marines Memorial Theatre - San FranciscoI laughed so hard my face "got stuck like that" (as my parents would have said). Dylan is ridiculously funny and can recover from any situation, including an impromptu marriage proposal in the audience -- "Great, well, that's the first marriage of the night out of the way; the bar-mitzvah will be right before intermission, and the mass baptism toward the end of the night." His tangents and random thoughts are at the core of the comedy, assuming you can keep up with them all. And his reading of his own version of "Fifty Shades" was absolutely hysterical. Highly recommended intelligent humor.

Rating: 5 out of 5 Dylan was hilarious!!!
by elbowz on 12/16/12Marines Memorial Theatre - San FranciscoDylan Moran is virtually unknown in the US compared to names like Louis CK and others. Yet he is one of the funniest comics with the best range out there!! There was something for everyone at this show and for the tickets to be so inexpensive is absolutely unheard of!! GO!! THis man hardly ever tours the US!! People travelled 5 hours to see this show and it was totally worth it! There was an audible awwwwww no! from the audience when after two encores Mr. Moran was ready to hang up his evening.

Rating: 5 out of 5 A breath of fresh air! Very entertaining!
by Anonymous on 12/16/12Marines Memorial Theatre - San FranciscoDylan Moran was a breathe of fresh air in a city that is sometimes suffocating with politically correctness. Anyone from Europe and the East Coast would agree, he says what you want to say but feel uncomfortable saying and it was hilarious! High marks for his superb writing and delivery! A true, authentic comedian! Well done. And great intimate venue for his show!
