  • Transfer portal is ruining college sports

by Eric on 1/6/25Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 1 out of 5

Not fun to pay $100 to watch a borderline scrimmage! VT didn’t have over half of its season’s starters playing which was unfortunate. Bowl games are meaningless now.

  • Good time in Charlotte.

A decent Bowl Game Experience. Charlotte is a nice safe city. You can walk to the stadium from the downtown hotels.

  • Ok for first timers

by The Dub Fam on 1/6/25Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

The arena was easy to get to and parking wasn't that bad with directions. Upon entering, it was a hassle to unclothe (shake out blankets, take off hat) but we got through it and knew if was for security reasons. The arena was set up very unique, at least to us for first timers in an NFL stadium where the venues were self serve which was cool. Our seats were easy to navigate to. The only bad things were the weather and VT team didn't show up (as in try) and the announcers were biased towards Minnesota. Other than that it was a good time!

  • A great bowl game in the cold

by Thunk on 1/6/25Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

I wish they offered winter hats at the Stadium. But who could have predicted the cold weather. My family and I had a great time minus the weather. It was a great overall event. And easy to purchase tickets and the parking was great with parking hero.

  • A Bit Disappointing - Let the kids win

by MayoMadness on 1/6/25Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

Overall, as a VT fan I was excited to go tot he game in my hometown. The game did not sell the upper level, and did not even sell out the lower levels. Normally a game with low attendance would mean we could get tickets for pretty cheap, but since the original tickets didn’t sell there weren’t even second hand tickets available outside the stadium. So forced to pay face value, that’s fine I guess but disappointing when you get inside to an empty stadium. Let’s talk about the mayo promotions. There was a kids race against Tubby the mayo mascot. Why did the mascot get a 10 yard head start? And why did tubby beat the 9 year old girl? People booed the Tubby for that, but come on. I enjoy the ridiculous mayo eating clips and the hype around Dukes Mayo.

  • Go to the game if your team is invited

by Bvl on 1/6/25Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

We are VaTech fans. Easy to get tickets, venue was well chosen. A curious lack of merchandise (caps and shirts only) for an outdoor winter game. Expected stadium blankets at least! Arrived at the last hour of Fan Zone (5pm). That was lame. Food trucks, a Duke’s Mayo display, a vacation club tent, and a couple of other tents that were unremarkable. The only hype was people eating jars of mayo (Gross!). We stayed about 15 minutes then left to go to an inside (warm) restaurant for supper pre-game. Would go to the game again but would skip the Fan Zone and buy merch ahead of the day.

  • Great seats

by SantaKlaus on 1/6/25Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

We had great seats for this event. One suggestion would be to help customers find better parking closer to the stadium.

  • ESP

by Go eers on 1/4/24Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

The announcers desire to play Sweet Caroline was either foolish or ambitious but it was the greatest thing I've seen in a public sporting event of my life

  • Cashless

by Jake on 1/3/24Bank of America Stadium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

The event in a whole was awesome! There was only two downsides, the venue being cashless, where I'm from not everyone uses a card. Me being one, so I couldn't get anything to drink or eat because I had all cash on me. Downside number two. There wasn't a smoking section! I don't know Charlotte's smoking policy at public venues but there needs to be a designated smoking area!
