Well done on practically every level.

by stimpsonjkhaet on 2/21/16Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

I first conducted this show in 1981 at a high school in Ohio. I've played in the pit for several productions over the years, so I know the show well. The actors, musicians, and crew all created a fun rendition of a great show. I was particularly impressed with the projected video and light work in this show. It added a new dimension to the show I've not seen before. It was a very enjoyable show and I can't think of a weak moment!

    Great Job!

by churchsecretary on 2/17/16Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

The cast of Bye Bye Birdie did a great job. The excitement holds your interest throughout the entire production. You notice the differences between the movie and the stage play. Loved the way you brought back black and white tv, Ed Sullivan and the excitement of Conrad Birdie! The change of scenes was flawless!

Show was great! Brunch was awful

by Reachers on 2/17/16Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

Great show. Started at 2:00. Brunch started at noon. Unfortunately, we didn't get seated until 1:00. First they said it was a 25 minute wait. After 35 minutes they said another 5. Finally I talked to a manager who promised 2 more minutes. Finally we just walked over to the hostess and waited. Once seated, the waitress never showed up, so we just went to the brunch. Food wasn't that great. Go for the great show, but skip the awful brunch. Totally unacceptable.

    Bye Bye Birdie was awesome!

by Claire1265Bd on 2/9/16Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

Bye Bye Birdie was an awesome production. The cast was top notch. Favorite roles were Rosie and Albert who were outstanding. I'd totally recommend this since the show was awesome, parking is free, and drury lane theatre is spectacular inside. Enjoyed the experience and am interested in later shows. Affordable tickets as well.

Cheesy, but a lot of talent

by JohnsNana on 2/8/16Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

Everyone in this play was wonderful. I think women would like it more than men. Being an overweight person, the seats are way too narrow to be comfortable.

    Fun

by HopeHarcourt on 1/20/16Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace - Oakbrook Terrace

This production of Bye Bye Birdie was fun with excellent choreography and good vocals. Especially like the actors who portrayed Kim, Albert and Harry. Really missed the Mae (the mother) 's song as did other members of the audience who were remarking on its absence after the show. Why Drury Lane would omit that song is beyond me - surely the Chicago area has many character actresses that could perform it.
