Excellent show and great set. Opener was really entertaining and fun to watch and listen to his lyrics. Drivin N Cryin were great as always live. The boys bring it every time. Till next show and can’t wait.
Drivin N Cryin played a great show with Abe Partridge opening for them. Abe was very good and funny. The Drivin N Cryin band is worth seeing.
The show was non-stop rocking, sound was excellent!
They still ROCK 30 yrs later. What a great show and the venue is incredible. Hope to see them next year same place!!!!
Drivin' N' Cryin' always kicks @ss, and being at The Bijou made it even better!!!
DNC was tight and looked like they were having fun. The opening act had a really nice voice.
Drivin' N Cryin' put on an amazing show, with a mix of loud rock and quieter americana songs, covering the entire span of their careers. The opener, Lauren Morrow was a revelation, and will be worth watching in the future. The beacon theater is a classic old movie house, with great acoustics, comfortable seating, and good amenities.
After over thirty years, DNC is just as tight and fierce as ever. Thank you Kevin for living the dream. please don't stop.
This is a new venue and our seats were great (front row center). I've had friends in other places in the center that said the acoustics where on spot as well. The openers, Kenny Georgie and the Shaun Piazza Band, were spot on and set the mood for the night. Drivin' N' Cryin' played for about 1:30 and did some old, some new. I've seen Drivin' N' Cryin' at least 75 times through the years and have always enjoyed their shows. If you get a chance to see them, do so.
This was our fist visit to the venue. We were very impressed. The sound was great. As for the show: It was fantastic!!! Kenny George and The Shaun Piazza Band were great! Drivin n Cryin put on a phenomenal show!!! A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!
Drivin N Cryin is awesome. Please come back to Augusta frequently!!
Drivin N Cryin is one of the best bands on the road there tight play for there fans at smaller venues and your going to have a great time!! This was our 5 show and there just getting better everytime!! Keep on Rockin...
Ive seen 5 live shows this year and Drivin' N' Cryin' was hands down, by far, the BEST!
Drivin N Cryin has been an Atlanta legend for over 30 years. I was amazed by how much energy Kevin Kinney projected, such a unique showman, he didn't jump around or even tap his feet, but his songs have a very real energy that was felt by everyone. Anyone will recognize Drivin N Cryin hits from the radio, but a live show presents Kevin's songs as 6 to 15 minute stories that take the listener along on a journey. Guitar slinger, Warner E. Hodges from Jason and the Scorchers, is a nice compliment to the band. Warner also played with Dan Baird's opening band, Homemade Sin. Dan Baird always puts on a great show. Dan has always been one of my favorite guitar slingers and songwriters, since around 1981 when I first saw The Georgia Satellites in dive bars around Atlanta. So much talent for the price of the ticket, we all got more than our money's worth. General admission allows you to get up as close as you can, wander, or find a seat. Good balanced sound in the Center Stage music hall, loud enough, but not too loud. You could tell that these are experienced musicians who wanted their audience to hear the music, not cover it up.
holy... freakin'... wow, just wow. i missed these guys in '93. 21 years later they made up for it. 2 hours, 10 minutes on the stage. 20 songs, no lag. nothing left on the table. though maybe a few too many newer songs than older standbys. but i'm not complaining because the set list was choice. anytime you can see great musicians on a stage like this - the small room upstairs, not the main hall - take it.
I have been waiting to see them since 1989!!! Kevn Kinney and crew did not disappoint. Even their choice of opening bands (the black Cadillacs) were spot on. The sound in the venue was crisp and perfect...hopefully I won't have to wait as long to see them again!
That was one of the best if not the best shows I have been too and I am 50,so I have been to quite a few.Awesome time.
We had high hopes for the show, having grown up with the band's music and we were really disappointed. The lead singer's vocals were awful. Songs that should have been easily recognizable weren't, so we left because we weren't enjoying ourselves at all.
Both stars are for The Sweet Tea Project. Everyone in their band was good. Have to say though that Drivin & Cryin was totally forgettable. Worst performance I have ever been seen. Lead vocals were just not good. I've seen college bands that were way better. Would never recommend them!
