The K-pop revolution has taken over.
K-pop girl group Dreamcatcher are known for their unique style that blends rock music with slick choreography and horror-themed visuals. Formed as MINX in 2015, the seven-member South Korean troupe has gained a global following for their rock style, a rarity in the mainstream Korean music scene.
In a music scene dominated by R&B, rap and hip hop, Dreamcatcher's choice to focus on rock puts them on a less-traveled road. Even within K-pop, rock is mainly relegated to side experiments, with metal considered an underground genre.
With K-pop being such a massively saturated market, the group needed something that set them apart. Their sound, horror-inspired storyline concept about girls reborn as nightmares and music videos are part of a larger story that continues to develop with each new release, leaving fans begging for more.
That unique spark caught the attention of many curious people who wanted to see what this K-pop/rock mash-up was all about.
Combine that with their aggressive choreography and bold sound, and you'll understand why their fanbase is so dedicated. The group even gave their loyal followers a memorable name: InSomnia. It comes from the Latin "in somnia," which means "in dreams" -- a nod to the group's association with nightmares.
Since their debut, the girl group with members JiU, Siyeon, Handong, Dami, Yoohyeon, Gahyeon, and SuA has attracted more and more curious onlookers to their disruptive sound. In 2022, the group released their studio album Apocalypse: Save Us and immediately saw the album soar to No. 1 on iTunes Top Albums charts in 20 regions across the globe, including the United States.
While the group has gone on to include hip-hop, EDM and other music genres in their music, the heart of their sound will always be rock. They're sure to entertain people from all corners of life.

out words to describe how wonderful these girls are 🫶🏼.
I love Dreamcatcher and their performance was everything I’ve dreamed about. The venue on the other hand was hot and cramped. I had hoped that the floor would be slightly slanted so people towards the back can see, but it wasn’t. A girl fainted and everyone was complaining about the heat. Dreamcatcher took their time to pass around water but that wasn’t enough because they only had 1-2 cases going around. I wouldn’t be coming back to this venue :’(
Overall the concert was amazing. The girls were so entertaining and the energy was electric. The downside was that the venue was way too small for the interest in the band. Fortunately, I got assigned MEZZ seating so it didn't affect me, but people were passing out and getting dehydrated in the GA standing room. It was too hot and too packed together and people waited all day to get a good spot. They really need a larger venue with better crowd control.
The girls in general were amazing with their choreo, singing and interactions with the crowd. The only down side is the lower GA section needed more control.
I HAVE NEVER WENT TO A SHOW/CONCERT BEFORE EVER. SEEING DREAMCATCHER LIVE WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. GOT THERE 3 HOURS BEFORE THE SHOW, WAITED IN LINE, GOT ME SOME MERCH, AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME AT THE SHOW!!! THEY PERFORMED SOO GOOD. EVERY SONG WAS AMAZING! THE SOUND AND ATMOSPHERE WAS GOOD. THIS WILL FOREVER BE A MEMORY FOR ME! THANK YOU DREAMCATCHER!!!
Dreamcatcher put on an amazing performance! I loved all the little touches they put for us InSomnia! I’m also super proud and respect Dreamcatcher for caring about their fans safety and stopping the show when people were passing out from the venue being too hot. Great people, great performance and if you get a chance to go I suggest it!
First and foremost, the staff were fantastic to me. My left foot is in a special boot because I have fractured it in two places, they were good enough to put me in an area to the side of the stage so my foot wouldn't get accidentally kicked by the other patrons. As for the gig itself, I flew to New York from England purely for this gig, I'd never seen Dreamcatcher live before. The ladies put on a tremendous show. They also passed out bottles of water to anyone that wanted/needed it. They also ensured the crowd moved away from someone that passed out in the crowd. All in all, a brilliant night.
Dreamcatcher was honestly so amazing. They're so talented and so interactive with their fans. They are also so attentive to their fans. Hearing their songs live was amazing, they sound even better in person. The venue, however, (Paladium Time Square) was totally unprepared for the sold out crowd. The lines to get into the venue was fine, but once inside, there was no clear indication of where to go, which line is for merchandise, for drinks, or to even get to the stage. And there was absolutely no air flow throughout the concert, so it was hot and humid and packed. A few people passed out in the crowd. The good thing was the staff was cooperative with the girls, and they stopped the concert a few times to give out water to the crowd. The girls themselves gave out water too. I hope to see them again in a much larger venue!
Does anyone know what are the guidelines for the Palladium Times Square day if the light stick for DC are allowed to be brought in? I wanted to know in case I should bring it or not. I never been to concert so I am not sure. Thank You!
