the music was good, but there were too many...

    by musicjunkie2891 on 6/14/10Roxy Theatre - Hollywood

children. i mean, i understand it's Drake from Drake & Josh... i expected teenage girls. and maybe a few pre-teens. but toddlers?? these children looked younger than 5 years old. it really did kind of ruin the show for my friends & i. it's a shame too, because Drake Bell played a good show. he was very energetic & had a great band. i actually really liked his music. but there should have been an age limit. at least 12+. sheeesh.

Rock the Fall Festival-Drake Bell & others

by Cinnagirl on 10/17/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

Who wounldn't love 7 hours filled with great music! The afternoon started off the Tiffany Giordina getting the crowd on their feet on a windy & chilly afternoon. Next up was V Factory, who only played a couple of songs, but their songs & moves were awesome! After that, Carebears on Fire were a fill-in for a KSM no-show (which was disappointing), but the Carebears really delivered! They have a surprisingly accurate retro punk sound. All 3 bands had a "Meet and Greet" after their performances, where they met the fans & signed autographs. That was a nice touch. Next came Honor Society, who met a few fans on their way on stage, which was nice. They gave a stellar performance & sounded really tight. Last up was the headliner, Drake Bell. By now it was dark & pretty frigid outside, but Drake (even though he was obviously used to California weather), warmed up the crowd with his hot vocals. All in all, a really great day!

    Drake is the best!

by CamiArgentina on 10/15/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

After having to see V Factory (a bad group of 5 teen agers trying to dance and do something else like singin), and Honor Society (not bad, but seen a lot like them and better) Drake appeared. With a great band, tasty vocals arrangements performed live and Drake with his charisma, his good singing and great songs, made the long hours waiting in a ski center but without snow and with a freezing cold worth- Seeing Drake live was a one time life experience.

    Rock the Fall Festival!

by Bella715 on 10/12/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

The Rock the Fall Festival was absolutly amazing! V-Factory and Tiffany Giardina did meet & greets once they were done performing. KSM couldn't be there because they were sick, so Carebears on Fire replaced them, they were not a great choice to replace KSM with. i personally didn't like them, but thats just my opinion. Tiffany Giardina was awesome and she played some of her new music which was stunning. Then V-Factory performed, i was waiting in line for Tiffany's meet & greet, so i oculdn't watch V-Factory but from what i could hear while waiting they did an awesome job. Then Carebears on Fire performed, like i said was not a fan, so i went and talked with Tiffany's drummer and bass player. Then Honor Society performed and words can not describe how amazing they were! they got the crowd all pumped up and warm by making us move around, cause it was freezing, up in till they came on! Then Drake Bell came on and his sound check took quite sometime, but he was good and he kept saying how cold it was cause he's from California. but over all the Rock the Fall Festival was amazing!! i wouold deffinatly go abck next year, in fact i want to!

    Rock the Fall - fell

by NJDiana on 10/12/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

KSM cancelled at the last minute (the main reason we were going). We drove two hours and could not get a refund for our tickets. The replacement band fell wayyyy short of anything decent. I give them credit for going out there (very young girls); but you could have done better getting a bar band to come in to replace KSM. The last two bands (headliners) unfortunately we could not see because we had to leave for another committment. Maybe had we been able to stay I would not have been so disappointed. I would be willing to try attending this event again next year, though. I'm always looking for an adventure!

Got to Meet So Many Bands!

by RockLuver on 10/12/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

It was a beautiful day on Blue Mountain. They had a great setup with food and rides. The bands were great. There were lots of meet and greets and signings. V Factory was so great in person- they have a cool manager who let so many of us meet them and get pictures. Honor Society rocked!! Everyone knew the words to their songs and it was amazing. I did not like -- at all- the "No Camera" rule. And then they were collecting cameras! There were way too many "friskers" as you entered the music area - felt like I was in an airport or something - it should be that once is enough through that torture - then let us with wristbands just come in. It got cold and Drake Bell's sound check was way too long (they should have just played even if one of the instruments wasn't coming through or whatever - they never let the audience know - they just made us stand and wait. So, we missed most of Drake.

Tiffany Giardina was great! For such a small girl, she sure does have a powerful voice! VFactory were fantastic! They were high energy and always kept the crowd pumped!. HONOR SOCIETY was AMAZING!!! 'Nough said (No Duh!)

    Honor Society = AMAZING

by HonorSocietyGal on 10/11/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

There were different acts at the show. I went to see Honor Society, and they were so amazing. I already love them, but they are the best band I have ever seen live. They are also very sweet and nice guys. It was great meeting them at the Meet and Greet! The other acts were ok, but I thought that Drake Bell was a disappointment to people because he came on stage smoking and had beer in his hand and did not seem like he wanted to be there. Wasnt really happy with the venue because we couldnt take pictures and the staff was rude. But I will be seeing Honor Society again! :)

    Rock The Fall was amazing!!!

by MrsNickJay on 10/11/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

When I bought the tickets for the show i wasnt sure what it would be like. I am so glad i bought them, Even though we missed the first two performances, I can say the other three were very good. I loved Honor Society! But i was kind of disappointed when KSM didnt come on but some other band Care Bears On Fire. Not sure what that was about. Also Drake Bell looked kinda out of it but altogether the concert was great!!

    Honor Society ROCKED!

by court21 on 10/11/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

The Rock the Fall Festival was the worst concert set up I've ever been to. There were no cameras allowed!!! KSM cancelled, and Care Bears on Fire replaced them. Honor Society was the best!! They crushed Palmerton! V Factory was awesome!!! I would not go to another festival there unless a really good band is playing.

Rock the Fall Festival was ok

by Anonymous on 10/11/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

The Rock the Fall Festival Concert was not what I expected. I did not know that they were going to spread the bands out over that much time, the 1st show starting at 2:30 and the last show was suppose to start at 7:30 but didn't. It got very cold for my kids by the last show and Drake Bell is who they came to see. KSM never showed up it was Carebears on Fire instead. I do have to say though my kids did enjoy Tiffany, V Factory, Carebears on Fire and Honor Society very much. They all performed very well and were very outgoing and personable to the audience. We were a little disappointed with Drake Bell. He started late and did not really interact with the audience much at all which is not what I expected. We ended up leaving early.

    unhappy about drake bell

by drakedidntcare on 10/11/09Blue Mountain Ski Area - Palmerton

everyone was OUTSTANDING!! even the security,. but the thing that really bothered my children and i was drake bell! he was very disrespectful before and during the show. before the show his whole band was ready for him and he took a half an hour to take a smoke and take a call.... he left his fans waiting for that!! then during the show he checked his text messages! also, in between each song he took such a long pause to do stupid things. it didnt even seem like he cared about his fans. and also, when he first came on stage he slipped...and he was wearing sunglasses at night..it had everyone wondernig what he was doing before A KIDS EVENT!! not a very good example mr drake bell!
