Dragonforce are expert showmen and are not to be missed for metalheads. Aside from the facemelting solos and fast pace of the music, the concert goer is treated to a spectacle of light and sound like never before. Party cannons, strobe lights, video games, this show was a blast. Kudos to the band for also keeping us entertained through the half hour of technical difficulty where they couldn't play. Hope to see them again soon! Side note, same goes for Amaranthe, they were a futuristic, epic treat and the crowd went berserk for them! Nanowar and Edge of Paradise warmed everybody up nicely. Dragonforce knows exactly how to choose the right acts for an overall unforgettable show.
Great performance, entertaining banter, you could tell they were having a good time and that energy really drove the crowd. It was my daughters first concert and she had a great time, has been showing her concert videos to anyone who will watch. Look forward to catching them on their next tour.
Great, always great. Love club access and great drinks
All 4 bands were amazing. Dragonforce's set and stage setup were one of the best I've ever seen. However, House of Blues Chicago is not a great venue. The hallway where merch, bathrooms, and coat check are is a cramped mess as no one can tell what line is for what. Makes doing any of the 3 a hassle.
I've been listening to Dragonforce since I was a little kid and always wanted to hear them live. First song damn near had me in tears along with Fury of the storm, the first song I ever heard from them. When I first heard ZP Heart was leaving the group, I was worried, but Marc Hudson has really grown into his own. It's still the same energy and band I always loved and seeing it in person was more amazing than I could've ever imagined! Seeing it sold out and just as many people love the group was equally wholesome! I hope they come to Chicago again and wish them the best! Never stop rockin' Dragonforce!
Every instrument of Dragonforce sound great! each band was incredibly!
Took my son to his first concert. I didn’t know what I signed up for and I WAS BLOWN AWAY!! Great talent. Great show. So much to take in that I was wired for the 2plus hour ride home. 100% loved the show. 2 shirts 1 hoodie and a Beanie hat later - well sign me up for the fan club because this was awesome. I’d go again if Dragonforce was in the area
Nothing I say will bring this experience any justice... from the meet and greet to the show itself. This was an amazing show all 4 bands were amazing but being in the front row and seeing everything, I actually started to tear up a bit when the brought the dragons out... even their slight technical difficulty after the first song, they played it out so well and it was so fun... There literally was not one bad part of their performance... I don't know what it is about European metal bands but they are far superior to the bands we have here... I can only imagine how it is on their home turf... I can't wait to see them again!!!
The speed Metal Gods from Dragonforce descended upon us at the House Of Blues and it was frickin awesome! Such a fun show , they played all my favorite songs. Fantastic show and the openers did well too !
I have been a big fan of DF since primary school and I'm now 25. DF did not disappoint. There was so much energy and passion on stage. It was very special to hear the song on which I had done my first jogging many years ago. (Cry thunder)
They put on the best kinda shows. This was my fourth time seeing them and will early see them again.
Outstanding performance and stage presence! Immense talent, incredible sound quality and visuals! Can't wait for their next tour around! Totally AWESOME!
Starting with the bad. Unfortunately, it is a small venue and it was very crowded. Also, one of the speakers was having connection issues and it was cutting in and out which was annoying. Now with the good. The sound was great (aside from that one speaker). The bathrooms were relatively clean. The drinks and food weren't egregiously expensive. I bought three drinks and a food entree that cost me a bit over 40 bucks before tip. Finally with the great. The bands were dope as heck. They were given, at least what felt like a longer than typical set time. We got to toss around a chicken. There was crowd surfing by the guests and some of the performers. Overall a hecking good time. I'd give it 5 stars, but that speaker issue was really throwing me off
Amazing show they are sick!!! They should come every year!!
Best I've seen them yet (out of 3 times). They genuinely seemed to be having fun, and the stage design was epic, even in such a small venue! Will definitely see them again
Great energy live and great music, openers were also fantastic
very good music, the people who work there take good care of you....
Excellent show put on by DragonForce. Great energy, music, guitar playing and showmanship. Very good sound, acoustics and balance in the Palladium Times Square. Crowd was great, mosh pit and crowd surfing was very manageable, Will see them again.
Excellent sound, even for the opening acts. The venue needs new seats. It started too late for a 4-band night. Based on the tour setlist, Dragonforce had to cut at least a song from the setlist.
