DPR Live In Concert

Hong Da-bin came up with his stage name DPR Live (the DPR stands for Dream Perfect Regime). The name comes from the label he co-founded with Ian, Cream and REM -- all of whom have adopted the DPR acronym to their stage name. Hong was born on January 1, 1993, in Seoul, South Korea. He eventually moved to Guam, an experience he talks about in his song "To Whoever." Hong Da-bin had a plan to pursue higher education, working on a psychology and philosophy degree. It wasn't until he was called to attend mandatory military duty in South Korea that he relied on his music to get him through. While in the South Korean military, Hong decided he would put academics on hold to go after his musical dreams. He began to write and compose music while serving his time in the military and hasn't stopped since. DPR Live released his debut EP Coming to You Live in 2017. He followed that up with a second EP, Her, which was released in 2017. The two EPs caught the attention of his followers, and he began working hard for several years to perfect his debut album. DPR Live released his studio album --Is Anybody Out There? -- in 2020, followed by 2021's IITE Cool. DPR Live has an inspiring life story that only fuels his creative mind. His fanbase around the world can't wait to see what he brings to the table next.

    Best boys, terrible venue

by toni on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

I am so proud of DPR for being successful enough to upgrade their venue to a bigger space! BUT echostage very clearly was not creating a safe space for concert goers. Four times the concert had to be stopped for people fainting, all the while there was very little A/C running. And there may have even been more fainting people in the venue that the music was not stopped for. The sound quality inside the venue was also very choppy. They also limited the merchandise lines very quickly after the concert, rushing people out the door. DPR crew was amazing, talented, and I loved hearing live… seeing them? Another issue with this venue, too low of a stage.

It could’ve been a little better

by Jackie on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

I throughly enjoyed going to see DPR, however, I would say that it was slightly underwhelming. The bass was a little too loud as well.

DPR Concert was great but it was too hot

by Sammy on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

Unfortunately the air conditioning was turned on only for bit more than half way through the concert and was turned off moments later. It got too hot people were passing out. Artist wise the concert was amazing!

    Loved it! 10/10

    by Alexis G on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

This was my first concert and I enjoyed it so much. I attended the show in DC. I had early entry and still got a good distance from the stage. They were so sweet and interacted with the crowd throughout the concert. Will most definitely will be seeing them again when they go back on tour! <3

    Best Experience

by jackiee on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

Walking into the venue felt like it was apart of the experience with the lights and subtle music. The concert was amazing, there were beautiful sets and props that added to the overall performance. The music was amazing as well as it made you value and appreciate the music so much more listening to it live. I look forward to anymore tours/performances they have in the future!

The venue was way too crowded and did not have adequate AC.

by Emma on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

Six people passed out in 1 HOUR of the concert. It was nerve-wracking. DPR Live & DPR Ian were phenomenal performers, I just wish I could’ve actually seen them from where I was standing (or getting shoved around). Anyway, the venue was awful and I won’t be going back but I hope to see DPR perform again, just in better conditions.

    One of the Best concert

by morgan on 9/24/22Echostage - Washington

I was towards the back of the venue but it was still a good time they also cared about the audience and stopped more than twice to make sure everyone was ok. Definitely recommend going to see them!
