Dora the Explorer Live Show was too short

by Ba146 on 12/3/13Sony Centre for the Performing Arts - Toronto

I took my daughter all the way to downtown via GO Bus. I found the show being too short. The First Act was only 30-35 minutes (too short, the kids were not due for a break yet). Then the show went into an intermission that lasted 30 minutes. My daughter was tired of waiting for the show to come back (too long of a break). If you give a child too long breaks it's hard to bring their attention back (15 minutes max would've being better). The Second Act lasted again another 30 minutes!!!! In total we got 1 hour show, 1/2 hour intermission. The ticket price wasn't worth paying, the travelling downtown and cost again, wasn't worth it. The show needed more act and more singing. I don't think I would take my daughter to this kid's shows in the future.

    Dora on Stage was amazing

by ImpressedMom1 on 10/23/13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

This was my daughter's first experience with a stage play. She was sitting on the edge of her seat the whole time. The show was very interactive for the kids which kept them doing something all the time, whether it was shouting out to swiper or singing/dancing along with Dora and her friends. I would definitely recommend this to other people and look forward to the next stage performance to take my daughter to.

Dora the Explorer - my child loved it!

by thevalleygirl on 10/23/13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

My daughter loved the show, was up in her chair dancing to the music and shouting out to the characters. However VIP was a joke, the VIP had designated photo lineup positions based on arrival time, had we actually waited till our group was called to get in the photo line we wouldn't have gotten a picture. The gift package, a picture advertisement, stickers, a VIP tag on lanyard (which isn't breakaway so my kid can't have it anyway) and a magnet advertising the show. Aside from the stickers a big bag of garbage. The only reason I bought VIP was to get decent seats, for that it was good but to be FORCED to buy VIP to get near front seats is completely unfair.

    Dora live was ok

by Amanjee on 10/15/13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

Dora live was ok. The story was boring and the way in which the play was acted out Was somewhat baby-ish. The signage for how the seating was, was horrible and a little old lady helped us to our seats. Pretty lame overall. The bonus was that there was an intermission which helped for bathroom breaks. Oh, and for Koba entertainment selling Dora paraphernalia, shame on you guys for increasing the prices when the light type souvenirs can be purchased at the dollar store.

by Shmc on 10/15/13Bell Performing Arts Centre - Surrey

Highly entertaining. Very interactive with the children, kept them engaged at all times. Intermission wasn't too long. Just enough time for a snack and a bathroom break.
