Donnell Jones’ career took off in 1996 with his album My Heart, a collection of R&B gems that helped establish his reputation as a moody, soulful crooner. His cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Knocks Me Off My Feet” became a huge hit and showcased his spectacular singing voice. His live concerts bring his background in gospel music to the stage and ticket holders get the chance to hear Jones belt out some of his most popular numbers, like “U Know What’s Up” and “Shorty (Got Her Eyes on Me).” His smooth moves and soulful songs get the crowd chanting along with him, and he is great at injecting energy into his concerts and owning the stage with his sharp style. Donell Jones recently embarked on a 2013 tour to promote his newest album Forever, which the endlessly talented singer wrote and produced himself.
Born in Chicago to a gospel-singer father, Jones took an interest in music at a very young age. In order to avoid the gang culture of Chicago’s South Side, he started hanging out with local musicians and soon partnered up with Untouchables Entertainment president, L.A. Reid and Babyface, who gave him the boost he needed to spark his career. His solo debut My Heart jumped up to No. 30 on Billboard’s R&B chart and featured the singles, “Knocks Me Off My Feet,” “In the Hood” and “You Should Know.” If you're looking for an R&B artist with a knack for writing original, addictive tunes, be sure to catch this superstar next time he comes through your town.

Bobby V stole the entire show and he was the opening act. Loyd looked so different but he sounded good. Dave had no stage presence and Donnell sadly was off key on his lower notes.
All the artists have a great show. Brought me back 20+ years. They all look and sound phenomenal! ❤️😍🥰
This concert was all the way lit!!! Me and my sisters went and enjoyed the entire concert
This concert was laid back. My favorite was Lloyd. I honest paid to see a performance. There was no live band, no dancers it was a boring concert in my opinion.
He should have used more stage time!!!! His performance seemed shorter than the others😑
It was my birthday and a gift to myself to enjoy a night out with my FAV cousin. We had a blast! I truly enjoyed myself
Donnell was hoarse and struggled to hit notes throughout his short set. Hoping he's OK. It was nice to see him though.
This was an amazing , grown and sexy event ! Donell Jones, Case , Cupid , and Howard Hall was awesome ! They gave their all and it was a night to remember ! Would definitely attend again. Oh yes, the DJ was awesome as well. 5 star experience. Thanks !
I had the best time at the concert! Terry Harris, N Tune, Cupid, & Case did an amazing job. The host/comedian did a great job as well; love his dancing skills!!! Donell Jones knocked me off my feet, literally. He did absolutely amazing, his voice is amazing, he’s just an amazing individual period. He’s beautiful!!!!
I feel like Donell jones could have dodo more songs, I was expecting the concert to be much longer, overall it was ok
While the venue was less than desirable for a Beverly Hills location, it was the performance by Donell Jones that was completely unacceptable. Admittedly, I am a fan of his musical style and have several of his songs downloaded. But listening to him perform live was unfortunately a long way from the deception that is accomplished in his studio. The music, which was played by a DJ was exactly as it was supposed to be. Donell's singing was not. Maybe it was just a bad night for him and his voice wasn't right. Hmm....I don't think so. His performance was that of amateur who is able to disguise the truth in a studio, but is unable to hide his lack of vocal ability in live performance. And to add insult to injury, he was only on stage for approximately 30 minutes. He sang a few songs and then disappeared from the stage leaving the entire audience questioning the possibility that the concert was actually over. Bottom line for me is....I'll continue to enjoy his recorded music, but will not be fooled into purchasing tickets to hear him live in concert. Very disappointing Mr. Jones.
Donnell was great, he just needed an opening act or an additional act, the show was too short, he performed about 40mins, had there been another act there would have been no issues, lots of concertgoers were left wanting more when the show ended at only 920pm.
We sat through a very bad opening act from 7 to 8pm. He was supposed to preform at 8:30. He did not get on stage until 9pm. He sung until 9:20pm then ended the show.
Barely Sang 4 Songs and rhen Said Goodnight!! So Disappointing 😞
The performance was great, problem was he was only on stage for an hour and didn't get a chance to sing a BUNCH of hits. No idea if it was the venue or him who requested that, but it was not satisfactory.
All in all show stated on time however did not have time to grab drinks sit down nor enjoy the drink and show. Donell Jones only preformed for about 30 mins or less and the show was over. So dissatisfied and disappointed. I did enjoy the few moments we had together as he preforming of my favorite songs but extremely to short and unacceptable.
I was looking forward to this concert cause Donell is one of my favorite artists - The outcome was horrible. The concert started time supposed to be at 8pm. He didn't show up until 8:45 or so then took off right at 9:30 pm. Some parts of singing were off. Very disappointed. Will never go to his concert again.
The main event was off the chain , I wish next time they can link him up with another artist to open open up to make the show a little longer ..
We to this Concert this past Sunday… Not only did it start 45 min late but he only did a 35 min set…. Disappointing is a Understatement…
