    Don Williams-totally awesome!

by Tommee on 11/17/15Riverdome at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel - Bossier City - Bossier City

Wish we could have heard him longer-everything he did was superb. He hasn't diminished at all. Total rapport with the crowd. Hope he continues to have good health and be able to tour as long as he wishes, cause we will always love him.

    Don Williams was fantastic

by GiGiof10 on 11/16/15Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

Loved the concert. He is definitely a man of few words, but I did not go to hear him talk but to listen to his incredible voice. Love his music and I am not a huge country music fan. This is the 3rd time I have seen him and will definitely go again.

Still smooth as aged Tennessee Whiskey

by hillbilly61 on 11/15/15Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

May be getting some age on him, and doesn't get around too well, but that voice is still spot on. 2 years in a row now and will continue as long as he keeps touring.

    excellent show

by azgnhn1 on 11/15/15Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

I was impressed with the opening act although an Irish country singer is a little different. However Don Williams gave an excellent show, his voice is as strong as ever and his sound man was far better than several we have had at previous Ameristar shows. Now if CSI will just learn to stop letting people in after the concert has started it will be even better.

    Wonderful Show

by DM4Don on 11/15/15Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

Never a bad show with the Gentle Giant. Took my nephew and his wife and we all had a great time. Only bad moment was all the cell phone activity. It was clearly posted "no photography or video/audio taping" but I guess some people just can't read or are too rude to care.

They don't make them like this anymore!

by wranchlife on 11/15/15Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

Well into his 70s, Don Williams still has a voice as smooth as silk! One member of his band had to get him started on a few songs, but as previously mentioned he is well into his 70s and I am just very grateful I was able to see him. As a venue, the Ameristar was great. Location was easy to find, it was clean and employees were helpful. Our tickets were in the right risers, about halfway up, and I thought they were great seats!

    Good Except . . .

by StevenV on 11/15/15Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas City

Don Williams continues to be a stalwart entertainers. At 78 years old he is beginning to look frail but his baritone voice remains strong and clear. He is famous for delivering his classic country favorites without any theatrics, jus a chair, guitar, microphone and capable backup band. The man of few words has little to say between songs other than occasional "mercy" or "you people are fantastic." This concert at the intimate Ameristar Kansas City Pavillion was good with the exception of an intoxicated 50plus woman on the front row who thought the audience was there to see and hear her. The constant selfies with Don in the background and loud sing-a-longs despite the lack of talent was disrupting to the rest of the audience there to see and hear Williams.

    Don Williams should be ashamed

by frustrated100 on 11/2/15Branson @ Oak Ridge Boys Theater - Branson

Last week we saw Don Willaims in Branson @ the Oak Ridge Boys Theater and were we ever disappointed. The man should not be on stage and looks and sounds VERY ill. We have lovesd his music for years and years but this was as poor of a display as we have ever seen. The band had to cover for him in a big way but even that was easy to see through. The place was packed so I guess he got his money we just didn't get our moneys worth. Had we had any idea that it was going to be this bad we would have gone across town to see Moe Bandy. We were afraaid Don was going to fall off of his stool but if I had to bet the money would be is that he was strapped to the stool, couldn't even remember to appear that he was useing his left hand when playing the guitar about 30% of the time. Tried to get our money back and that is definately not happening.. If you want to see him make sure that he is well enough to perform

    One of the best

    by Lindylu1 on 11/2/15Carolina Theatre - Durham

This was our third time seeing Don Williams in concert and he never disappoints. He sings his much loved oldies and still sounds like he did when he recorded them. Thanks for bringing him to Carolina Theatre.

    He still has the voice!

by DKSmith on 10/29/15Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville

I've loved listening to Don Williams music for many years and always wanted to see him live. I finally got the chance and was not disappointed! I know his health is declining, he sat on a stool for the concert but with his voice he doesn't need to be all over the stage with lights and smoke. He still sounds amazing! I'll definitely see him again if I get the chance.

    Unforgettable Don Williams!

by ImagineThat on 10/27/15Carolina Theatre - Durham

Attending The "Gentle Giant" Don Williams concert at the Carolina Theater is easily one of the top five events in my life. When the curtain rose to reveal the band members and the super talented Don Williams seated in the center, there was electricity in the air. The multi colored background stage added to the WOW factor...and Don Williams delivered a splendid performance. He sang all of my favorite Don Williams songs, making a memorable event that I will never forget.

    Don Williams is the man!

by Cici34sports on 10/26/15Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville

I've seen him multiple times, and he never disappoints. He just sits there playing and singing. I do wish the light show would have been a little more calm this go around. But, that's just a preference that has nothing to do with him. Colm Kirwan, I've seen him a few times as well. I love him. I love that he stays to greet every single person. This review is giving an option for a video submission of the concert, but security was hot and heavy about not videoing.

    Don Williams was a disappointment!

by Tools33 on 10/25/15Von Braun Center Concert Hall - Huntsville

We've seen him 4 other times, but this concert paled compared to his others. Seemed like he was just "going through the motions." He was on stage for exactly one hour (8:25 - 9:25 PM), sang about 19 songs, 4 or 5 of which we never heard of, never came out for an encore which really disappointed the crowd, who hung around a good 5 minutes waiting for it (the encore, usually "Louisiana Sat. Night"). No complaints about his voice and band, however, smooth as silk! I'd be interested to see what others thought.
