DJ SNOOPADELIC IN CONCERT:

Ā

Thereā€™s nothing Snoop Dogg canā€™t doā€”from releasing genre-defining hip hop hits like ā€œWhatā€™s My Name?ā€ and ā€œDrop It Like Itā€™s Hotā€ to lending his laid-back charm to film and TV projects like Weeds and Dogg After Dark. In 2012, the SoCal native added DJing to his long list of accomplishments under the moniker DJ Snoopadelic, and heā€™s been unleashing epic sets for fans ever since. Spinning his favorite R&B classics from back in the day as well as his own hits ranging from his G-Funk breakout tracks to his recent smooth grooves, Tha Dogg Father gets crowds pumped with bumping beats while he serves as the master of ceremonies. Fans never know what famous rappers might show up to lay down a verse when Snoop is on the ones and twos. The iconic MC may even step out from behind his DJ rig to bust a rhyme on perennial favorites like ā€œGin & Juiceā€ or ā€œThe Next Episodeā€. No matter what he has planned for the evening, fans can count on DJ Snoopadelic to pump out the jams and make the club smoking hotā€”for rizzle!

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Ā

Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. (better known to the world as Snoop Dogg) was born in Long Beach, CA in 1971. As a teenager the prodigious rapper began to collaborate with his cousins and friends in the LBC hip hop collective 213. As luck would have it, Dr. Dre was looking for an MC to collaborate with when he heard a copy of 213ā€™s mix tape. The iconic producer was so impressed that he invited Snoop to audition before featuring the young rapper extensively on his 1992 debut The Chronic. The following year, Dre launched Snoopā€™s solo career by producing the rapperā€™s 4x Platinum debut Doggystyle. Realizing the dangers of gangster affiliations following the death of close friend Tupac Shakur, Snoop cultivated a smoother, party-oriented style starting with 1996ā€™s Tha Dogg Father. Completing his transition from gangster to pimp, he scored his first number one single in 2004 with The Neptunes-produced ā€œDrop It Like Itā€™s Hotā€. He then added disc jockey to his list of skills with the debut of alter ego DJ Snoopadelic on the 2012 compilation Loose Joints, which brought banging beats to his fans in a whole new way. Whether heā€™s spinning, spitting, or just straight up chilling, Snoop Doggā€™s boisterous persona means fans are in for a great time whenever he takes the stage.

Show was ok. Not a lot going on. No shade.

by Big Burnt Bob on 4/6/22Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park - Grand Junction

The venue is cool but there is no shade anywhere. They also don't let you bring in umbrellas. The show itself was pretty meh. I expected more from Snoop. Still had fun though.

    Genius

by T. B. on 4/6/22Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park - Grand Junction

Snoop Dogg is a genius. I don't know if he chose songs that he thought the people in this area would like, but they weren't all rap songs. He sang to songs you would never imagine him knowing the words to, that everyone can sing along to. It really showed his versatility and everyone there was having a great time! The food lines were definitely too long, but that the only negative coment I have.

by OGDOC on 4/6/22Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park - Grand Junction

Snoop is an OG and great time while he was DJā€™n but literally he was on stage for an hour and 15 minutes at the most ā€¦. Would of liked to had him playing a little longer. Hope he comes back and does a performance soon, crowd was definitely there for Snoop!

    DJ SNOOPADELIC vs SNOOP DOGG

    by C. G. on 12/10/21

Itā€™s funny how all the bad reviews on here are complaining about how Snoop did not perform, all he did was play music and DJā€¦. Thatā€™s exactly what DJ SNOOPADELIC does!! He DJā€™s. If you want to see Snoop Dogg perform then maybe you all should go find tickets for SNOOP DOGG and not DJ SNOOPADELIC. Same person, yes. But different acts. One DJā€™s and the other performs his hit songs. So again, SNOOP DOGG, expect probably anywhere from 1.5 hour - 2 hour SNOOP DOGG performance. DJ SNOOPADELIC will be DJā€™ing at his DJ booth. Not performing. Canā€™t be upset at him for doing exactly what heā€™s supposed to be doing and for what the club paid him to do. DJā€¦ Keep up the good work though Snoop! šŸ‘šŸ½

    Save Your Money!!!!

    by DiMarco on 7/8/21

This show is very disappointing to say the least. He does very little actual singing and lip syncs quite a bit. He never comes out of the DJ booth, so you can actually see him up close and that was a let down for the crowd. His mixing is non-existent and just basically plays alot of random songs. Snoop needs to give his crowd an actual Live Show for what they pay for a ticket!!!!

    was disappointed

    by W. M. on 6/30/21

I have seen Snoop several times when he actually sang the songs, walked around the stage and did his thing. This show was pretty boring. I knew going into the show it might be the case. He smoked the whole show and stood behind his computer did not sing. He just Did DJ stuff. . Really want to see him actually do a concert.

    Good show

by Glo on 11/10/19Sames Auto Arena - Laredo

Yes Snoop is playing music on his laptop and occasionally singing along but that's what DJs do. Not a must go to show but it was alright. Snoop kept the crowd entertained.

First time seeing the Dogg In Person

by AntBlizzle531 on 8/23/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

To start off, I was already growing restless when the opening DJ played at least an hour an change until Snoop arrived. Yes, he was tardy. But the fact that I had a good viewing front row standing room, it was a great show. A few uncontrollable drunks in the crowd who got dealt with. Besides that, I had a good time
