DJ SNAKE IN CONCERT:

Up-and-coming hip hop producer DJ Snake scored one of the biggest hits of 2014 with the Lil Jon-featured banger "Turn Down for What", so it's no surprise that his live show is one of the year's hottest tickets. Snake's instantly recognizable blend of skittering trap beats and insanely catchy synth hooks have struck a major chord with audiences, and his masterful buildups, breakdowns, and drops have earned him a live reputation that matches his impressive studio credentials. Whether he's laying down original cuts or treating fans to thumping remixes of Kanye West and AlunaGeorge, Snake always delivers seriously dance-worthy sets on his must-see tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Paris-based DJ and producer DJ Snake, a.k.a. William Grigahcine, made his professional debut behind the scenes as a producer on Lady Gaga's 2011 sophomore album Born This Way. His work on that release earned him a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year in 2012, foreshadowing the success that would soon follow with his own material. After releasing a string of acclaimed remixes in 2013 for artists like Duck Sauce and Major Lazer, Snake made his debut on charts around the world with "Turn Down For What", a ubiquitous club anthem featuring vocals by Lil John. The song topped the US Dance/Electronic Songs chart and reached the Top 20 in his native France, launching him to international stardom. Since then, Snake has collaborated with legendary producer Diplo, released the track "Get Low" with Dillon Francis, and been named a "2014 Artist to Watch" by Fox Weekly. With appearances at HARD Summer Music Festival and the Mad Decent Block Party tour rounding out his 2014, Snake has cemented his status as one of the hottest new producers in the game.

  • We Are NRG

This was a fun event. Had a great time with my peers. A lot of people had a great time as well. The only down was I don't smoke tobacco and there was people smoking all over the place n made it difficult at times to enjoy the show with all the smoke around. For the most part, friendly people all over, a couple of rude people but won't let that ruin the night.

Parking was horrible!!! I left at 5pm and got to the venue at 9! Too much hip hop it's EDM. too much mix of that. Needed more of deorro set! I wish I was there to see whyel and bare that's who I really wanted to see. Last nrg was way better than this one.

  • It's all about the druhgz

by PLURraver on 12/15/14Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Raves used to be about peace love unity and respect...there were a lot of rude people there! And it seems as though the scene is about popping pills rather than the music and the people. The performers were pretty average and the lights were pretty good. The venue was great. I love bill graham.

  • Epic time

by CJL902 on 12/15/14Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time! got there about 30 min after the show started due to traffic but made for short lines to get in... Partied until the last possible minute and all of the DJs were awesome. Probably one of my favorite nights for sure. Only suggestion would be a water station.... this was the first insomniac / any event that we had to use the water fountains to fill up camel backs. (this didnt stop us from having a good time though) -Corey
