Howard Theater is a great new venue.

Howard Theater is an amazing venue. Hoodie was good for a new performer and his show was enhanced by how good the venue was.

    what i had hoped for

by englishbreakfast on 8/12/11Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

was super pumped to see hoodie and he delivered. the crowd was small, as i expected, and had a ton of high school kids there (more than 21+) but the crowd was super in to it and he even said that it wasn't his biggest show but the fact that everyone was singing the words meant more than the numbers. my only complaint was that there were four opening acts, thus he didn't come on until like 10:15. which, makes me sound old, but on a wednesday when i had to work in the am, i was def not prepared for, but the energy that he brought made me forget the time. i would no question see hoodie again, hopefully at a bigger venue! guy sounds great live, his band was awesome and he really has a great stage presence and was interacting with the crowd. you can tell he's still new (talking w his band about songs during the set and what not) but i felt that it contributed to his appeal as a nerdy hi-hop boy.

    Greatest night of my life

by DieHardHoodieFan on 8/12/11Altar Bar - Pittsburgh

The opening acts took a little long, but i was no less than blow away by Hoodie Allen's performance. Although the sloppy drunk girls proved to be a little problem it was all worth the grief. He killed every one of his songs and threw in a few freestyles about Pittsburgh. Given the chance to see him again i would take it over anything. Must see concert.
