About

With the 2013 release of their chart-topping debut album Settle, British electronic duo Disclosure became one of the most talked-about new acts of the year. Featuring numerous collaborators including Edward MacFarlane of Friendly Fires, Jamie Woon, Jessie Ware, and London Grammar, the album's pop-oriented garage and house sound was both a critical and commercial success, debuting at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart. The record's first three singles - "Latch (feat. Sam Smith)", "White Noise (feat. AlunaGeorge)", and "You & Me (feat. Eliza Doolittle)" - were among the year's most ubiquitous club hits, all placing within the UK Top 20 and garnering the album a prestigious Mercury Prize nomination. Brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence grew up in Reigate, Surrey, England, making their debut as Disclosure in 2010 with the funky dubstep tracks "Offline Dexterity" and "Street Light Chronicle." After following up with the Carnival EP in 2011, the brothers became increasingly sought out for remix work on the strength of their considerable production skills. In 2012, they picked up their first significant U.K. radio attention with the release of the "Tenderly"/"Flow" single and The Face EP, which featured their hugely popular remix of Jessie Ware's "Running." In 2013, Disclosure continued to build on their already-stellar reputation with a string of impressive live concerts, wowing ticket holders at the Glastonbury Festival in England before embarking on a critically-acclaimed world tour.

Awesome sound system for an outdoor event, and the best set ever by Disclosure.

There was a face and stuff!

by Jinklos on 8/9/13Central Park Summerstage - Central Park - New York

This British duo performed quite to my liking. They stuck to their more danceable material and played some tracks from their EP (Boiling, What's In My Head), but mostly stuff from "Settle". TNGHT put on a helluva set. Their EP does not respresent the unstoppable propulsion of their work. Even though I was seemingly the only audience member not on X, based on the truly startlingly large number of people who rubbed my head and back during the show, I greatly enjoyed the whole thing. When Jesse Ware came out, I was so excited. I was all like, "I know who you are! Unlike most of the guest artists on the record! Hooray!"

    Disclosure are beasts

by TazzW on 8/9/13Central Park Summerstage - Central Park - New York

It was simply amazing didn't expect Disclosure to bring in Jessie Ware and Sam Smith. I fangirled so much. TNGT were pretty good too, gave me my hip hop fix. As for Julio Bashmore if your not into deep house you aren't going to be so into him, my friends really didn't. I happen to like deep house and found his set to be really good.

AWESOME SHOW. Lots of energy, TNGHT is fantastic as always - they should be a headliner!!! Disclosure killed it as well.

Opener was decent but too early, crowd wasn't into it. Friends and I got impatient between acts; music was too mellow/undanceable. Disclosure was the main act but I may have preferred them to go before TNGHT; their slower, more sensual house beats could have been a good buildup to TNGHT's straight trap bangers. other than that, this is probably the best show I've ever seen.

This show was a blast. I saw them play at Glasslands and this time around they brought a lot of new material which is always welcome. And they played a longer set. Can't wait to see more of these guys in the future.

    Disclosure threw down in BK

by dirtyduc on 3/25/13Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

Just absolutely amazing show, opener was strange, tried a bit too hard, tried to play some trap that didn't really agree with the crowd, but disclosure made the night unforgettable.

    A-Mazing. Pure Sex!!

by Dyskryptik on 3/20/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

I hadn't actually heard the majority of the music produced by Disclosure but I can honestly say that I love it with all my heart. I went to school for music and have been into the dance music scene for quite awhile now, and the way that they layer their music and the stages it takes you through is truly breathtaking. They were also the first group I've scene that did a fair bit of live playing/production. Something I've been curious about since I have a lot of interest in starting a similar group so I can use my performance my degree.

Perfect sized venue for a chill night with the girls! Disclosure is so talented. They sang, played instruments other than just DJing. Ended with Latch of course. Overall great night!

    Disclosure is absolutely stunning live.

by Anonymous on 3/20/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

With their amazingly unique style, the brothers Disclosure have managed to rack up a huge amount of momentum in a relatively short amount of time. The fact that they actually play a lot of the instruments that they use to produce their music live is testament to their originality. Not only are their sounds good recorded, they are even better live thanks to that fact. Hopefully they'll go far in the world of house music, they certainly deserve it. In the meantime, I would go to every one of their shows given the opportunity - they're an amazing group of artists.

    Best gig ever

    by Fruitman50 on 3/20/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

So MOD we're excellent, but then what happened next week epic Guy and Horward absolutely rocked it great tunes from great guys. The only complaint was it finished at 10:30pm but that was probably venue rules or something.

    They were just so solid

by Anonymous on 11/2/12El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

This show was just an amazing event. The opening act Samo Sound Boy was a great catalyst to the amazing duo that was going to be showcased that night. I never have seen Disclosure before, but all I can say is wow. Ive been waiting to see them live for over a year and I surely wasn't disappointed. The venue ( El Rey Theatre) was just so old school and elegant all the while performing, was a new aged electronic garage duo. Quite a site to be seen.
