The pre-game show, the band performances, the military appreciation part was also very enjoyable. The visual scoreboard with the skycam during the amazing end of the game with the boink on the left upright which I was sitting just right to see the ball came right at me! Then unbelievable fireworks and music. THREE COMPLETE SHOWS for the people that stayed until the end. Will definitely be back next year!!!
Great time and lots of fun. You should not squeeze a football field onto a baseball diamond. Noticed that the ground crew was constantly repairing the field around the pitching mound and infield. Needs to be held in a football stadium. They say Snapdragon is too small for the their revenue projections, again it's all about the money, not for the school's fans.
Amazing opening with paratroopers flying onto the field with Coast Guard salute. North Carolina played a string first half. The Oregon Ducks back up QB worked hard and improved to make the second half exciting. With 26 seconds left Duck field goal kicker scored winning extra point in untraditional fashion! Duck fans went crazy!
The venue and the game experience were both great and it makes me want to visit for baseball next season.
Multiple things went wrong with the execution that undermined the audience experience. First there was quite some delay after the game, causing the entire stadium to boo at some point. After starting, it was quite enjoyable for a while. But then for what felt like 5-10 minutes, they had only music and no fireworks. Eventually the fireworks resumed but was very sporadic, and one of the dollies in the stadium stopped working. Finally towards the end, the fireworks stopped and a thank-you video played. This made most people in the stadium to start leaving. But as we reached ground level and walking towards the exit gate (another good 5 minutes after the thank-you video), a large set of fireworks played. That would have been the most exciting part of the entire show, and it had few audience to witness it. Hopefully all the trouble was due to the hiatus and a new stadium, and they drastically improve next time (if there's a next time).
The first half and the last five minutes of the game were exciting. I don’t think the KGB Sky Show should be attached to this event. The Dky Show should be for San Diegans, not for out-of- state college football fans
If you haven’t experienced a college football game, this is a great game to go to. All the pageantry and all the school alumni rooting for their team ! The bands from each school are fantastic. This was our 1st time going and will make it an annual tradition. Petco Park staff was awesome !

Game between Oregon & N Carolina was great. Sky Show was a Big disappointment! Especially compared to year's past. I would give it a 2 on a scale of 10. It used to be awesome. I was really underwhelmed
Game was great. It would have been nice if there was SOMEONE in charge to get the players and staff off the field after the trophy. We waited way too long for the skyshow to start. Also, would have been nice if the fireworks didn't have an epic fail.
Holiday Bowl Games are classics of great football. First year at Petco could use some improvements, though. Hard to tell where your seats were in relationship to the field when buying tickets. Had to wait way too long for KGB Sky Show. The Sky Show itself appeared to have awkward gaps where there were no fireworks at all. Still, not a bad venue for the game, which was great!
The game was a nail biter that wasn’t decided till the last minute. The field looked great. The view of the game was great from any seat. There may have been a drone failure during the fireworks show but it was still fun. Can’t wait for next year’s game.
Everything was very organized and the return of the KGB fireworks was such a great treat! Great night and wonderful family event.
The Holiday Bowl was great; from tailgating, to the opening show, to the final result! The Sky Show obviously had some type of technical issues (what the heck went wrong?!). But besides that, the music and fireworks did not seem to be synchronized as much as simultaneous - definitely not the same. The KGB Sky Show has always been fabulous, but this fell way short. Not exactly the best retirement send off to Dave, Shelly, and Chainsaw. Hopefully someone threw them a really nice party!!
The seats and game between Oregon and North Carolina was fantastic! Section 314 has phenomenal view of entire field of play.
It was extra special having this event at Petco, which is very family friendly once you’re inside the gates. Easy to get around, lots of good seats, good entertainment, great food and bathroom access. Nicely done San Diego and SDCCU!
While it was great to see my Ducks, the venue for a bowl game and cost for seats was not worth it.
The football game was competitive the first half . However the food concession stand was awful ! Lines were very long & quality of food was mediocre at best . I recommend eating before you go to an event at this venue !
I took my daughter and we had a blast. Lots of events, good food and loads of fun!
The game was great. The venue needs some technology updates. The green line trolley in and out is so convenient. Was not impressed with the lack of ushers - actually...what ushers?. The security staff was less than stellar - some of the staff in yellow coats couldn't answer any questions. The staff in blue coats wouldn't keep "standers" from obstructing our view at the railings. I understand it's probably a huge feat to pull off an event such as this. Overall I would say our family had a good time.
