Amazing show!!! Very down to earth and sounded great!!!
Diamond Rio sounded just as I remember when I saw them back in the 90's! Such a welcome & pleasant surprise!!! Every song of theirs is a familiar hit, so their show, music & energy was everything (& more) than I could have hoped for!!! Even the 2 new members (fiddle player & drummer) that replaced the original retired members were a perfect replacement! Diamond Rio Still ROCKS!!!!!
Enjoyed the concert. Sound was very good. Just wish they played a little longer and sang just their songs.
For the amount of money we have to spend to see these shows, I feel that the show was awesome BUT, they only played for 75 minutes. Most shows are at least 120 minutes,
Granted some of the hits were in the form of medleys but still...I as well as many were left wanting more as they only played 1 hour and 15 mins. To pay what we did for that short of a show was disappointing. Get rid of the medleys and play the full song, make it a 2 hour show and it would have been perfect.
Diamond Rio put on a fantastic show as usual. They played their older guys plus some new music. This was a show that shouldn't have been missed.
They sounded just like they do on the radio, everybody was singing along it was a grand time to say the least. Definitely will be coming back and way to go Diamond Rio!!
I have now seen Diamond Rio 18 times. They are a very talented band and remain so, despite a couple of lineup changes. They continue to perform most of the hits that made them famous. They opened their set with their hit Unbelievable and played for about 75 minutes. Other famous songs they played were Norma Jean Riley, Meet In The Middle, It's All In Your Head, Nowhere Bound, One More Day, I Believe and How Your Love Makes Me Feel and many others. The only downside would be this-for a band that has had more than 30 hits, a 75 minute show is too short.
I've seen Diamond Rio more than any other band. These guys are pure magic live. I grew up listening to them and still, 25 years later, can't get enough of them. Looking forward to seeing them again in Flint, MI. theagain in Flint, MI.
I will go to every show they put On and I am able To attend. Amazing!
They sounded awesome. I just wished they would've sang more gits instead of mostly Christmas. I did enjoy the Christmas though.
Great but a little too much Christmas music. Wish we could’ve heard more there stuff.
They were fantastic but they only did 4 of their top hits and the rest of the show was Christmas songs which was beautiful , but we were hoping they would come back and do more of their hits. Little disappointed. They still sound great though!!!
Enjoyed the show. The venue was nice and very cozy. The sound and performance was outstanding. The interaction with the crowd was really fun. My wife loved the event.
My title was their title. However, neither Ticketmaster nor the venue billed it as such. During the first half of the show the band played their hits, proving themselves as a premiere country band. The second part of the show was devoted to the holidays, with a few secular carols, then a handful of religious songs complete with a Christian slideshow. While I was not offended, this was not at all what we were expecting. I so hoped that they might close out with an encore performance of a few more of their hits. In the future, I would hope that shows bearing a particular theme would be advertised appropriately.
I could not give this five stars because the show only lasted an hour and 15 minutes. They were fabulous, but the show was very brief. I know they were were doing a mixture of Hits and christmas, but I think they had enough materials to play longer.
For the price it was not worth it the band only played a few of their hits the rest was christmas music. The event started at 8pm and was over at 9:20pm over $70 dollars a seat and drinks were $9 and up
Attended the Hits & Holiday Show in Baton Rouge, LA last night, our first Diamond Rio concert and it was awesome! They still sound great after all these years, vocals, harmonies and music sound great! Loved the Christmas part of the show, perfect for getting the mind into the reason for this season! Thank you Diamond Rio! Can't wait to see you again!
Diamond Rio was great. They were obviously prepared and had a great show laid out. While I might have enjoyed hearing a bit more of many of the songs they did in medleys, I know they had quite a catalog to present and the medleys were seamless. The sound could have used a bit more tweaking - maybe it was the house gear - but the piano and the vocals were occasionally breaking up. The weather was tough with a steady north wind blowing towards the stage and temperatures in the 50’s. But I have to hand it to the band. They didn’t miss a lick and were excellent. My only complaint was the clueless drunk ménage a trois in front of us that couldn’t stay in their seats like the other 99.9 percent of the attendees. Between the three of them they blocked our view of 2/3 of the stage for most of the last hour of the show. Of course this wasn’t the band’s fault but rather the venue operators and our bad luck to get behind the only clown show at the concert.
This is such a great venue! Diamond Rio did not disappoint! Fantastic show!
