LCA is without question the best hockey venue in the county! The staff are very courteous, friendly and genuine. The game experience is a lot of fun for the family, entertaining and the fans are without question the best on the planet. We always have a wonderful experience be it Club, Lower or Upper Concourse seating! And the Wings dig down and play great whenever we go.
Everyone will tell you how beautiful the new arena is, and they're right, it is very nice. But more importantly it is well run, clean, and fun to visit. First there are three restaurants. We ate at the Sports and Social Club which is your typical sports bar with many screens showing the current games. Good bar food and some local beers. We had reservations before the game (2:30 reservation before 5 pm game) but made a mistake - we used our tickets to come into a general admission gate for the arena and then were told we couldn't access the restaurant from inside until 3 pm! Fortunately some of the arena staff took us in hand and escorted us to the restaurant and scanned us out so we could reenter later. (The staff are very interested in helping out and making sure you enjoy the visit.) Be warned - the restaurants are open before the arena is open for the event BUT you must enter through the restaurant's outside door in order to avoid the problem we got into. We were seated in the lower bowl for the game and had great view of the ice. Some of the highest seats are vertigo inducing so a warning to those who are sensitive to this. There are announcements before every period on how spectators are to maintain a comfortable and family friendly environment and they mean it! One spectator behind us used F bomb profanity in something they yelled at the players and the usher in the section IMMEDIATELY cautioned them that if they did it again they'd be out. Visiting fans were treated courteously - no problem if you're there to root for the other team (unlike some arenas I could name). Unless you're familiar with the area I would recommend reserving parking at the arena parking garages - it's very convenient, easy to find, and the staff do a good job of directing traffic away from the arena after the event. It's pricey (about $40) but our parking reservation started at 1 pm and ended at 10 pm so plenty of time to be able to park there, eat before or after the game, or even walk around the arena. We didn't get there early enough to walk around before the game so don't know about the neighborhood - seemed OK from what we saw. Everyone who works there is working hard to make sure you enjoy the event you're attending and they succeeded with us.
Obtaining tickets and parking pass was easy peasy and the customer service, pre and post game, are first rate. Will do this gain sometime when I can save enough money. Next time, I hope to arrive early enough so I can "tour" the facility a little slower. Lots to see and lots to do. LCA is not a hockey rink. It is a Hockey Cathedral!! Now if you can just control the traffic along the construction zones, it would be a 7 or 8 star rating
Awesome view of the ice. Very comfortable. Lots of food and beverage options.
This was my first home opener, and it was fantastic! There were events in the plaza outside the arena, including a marching band and the red carpet walk into the arena for the players and some alumni. For the game, the fans were amped up! A very raucous crowd, we cheered our home team on to a great win.
It was a lot of fun. My 8 year-old finally witnessed a wings' win in person.
Electrifying and riveting light show before the players take the ice. Make sure you arrive early! Every seat in the lower bowl (and i've sat everywhere) is great. The mezzanine level offers a spectacular overview of the ice and is a great bargain for those on a budget. FRIENDLIEST arena staff in the business. Very knowledgable and friendly fans. Can't wait to see the Leafs game.
Mezzanine, Center Ice Seats - Awesome! Never attended a venue where every employee dedicated themselves to make certain our experience was a delight. Amazing! Keep up the great work!
Everyone was kind and helpful. Too bad the big pretzel was hard!
The Little Caesars arena is a great venue. Plenty of food options, comfortable seating, friendly staff. Only negative is location is in Detroit. Horrible city. If the wings would move, we would def watch more games.
Easy ticket buy from Ticketmaster. Watching game at Little Caesars Arena was awesome! Would love to go back again!
Just a very pleasant experience at the arena!! Plenty of restrooms and very clean. Seating was very comfortable too. Looking forward to another Red Wings game soon! Thank you:)
Attended my first and last LCA game last year for the home opener. Had upper bowl seats. The absolute worst designed plastic seats imaginable. So uncomfortable it was painful. So distracting that the game itself was not remotely enjoyable to view. I am not a large man by any stretch so it be crammed into the width of a seat designed for a 6 year old was beyond maddening. The constant bombardment of lights and non stop over 90 decibels of sheer ear pain from the endless mind numbing sounds of juvenile junk called music, simply ruined the hockey experience for me. Having been a 20 plus year season ticket holder at the Joe when fans came to watch hockey, this new Barnum & Bailey Circus approach that goes on during the game is pure trash! Forget about attending a hockey game at the LCA - it is designed and created to extract excessive about of money from your wallet under the guise of a Detroit Red Wings game. The game and simple pleasures of watching and listening to a live game is gone forever in Detroit.
We were able to purchase first row mezzanine seats for the Red Wing game Tuesday 4/2 and had a very enjoyable time. The ticket purchase was simple and downloading the tickets to my phone was very easy. WE also were able to get parking close to the arena at the same time, very convenient! We ate at Sports and Social, had wonderful service from Alix while enjoying a delicious casual meal. The game was very exciting and seats provided a fantastic view of the ice surface.
The arena is beautiful...been here several times. We got the $20 deal. It's very frustrating to sit in the top rows and see all the empty seats in the lower bowl. We wish we could get a reasonable rate down below! We will be back and look forward to better seats at a bargain price. :) :)
Beautiful, great experience, but really the prices for a drink are out of this world expensive. Parking expensive. It would be nice if 2 people could go to a game for less than $100. Won't be down anytime soon
As soon as the people in front of us sat down it was obvious we wouldn’t see much of the game. For most of the game, all I could see of the ice was from the blue line to the hash marks on one end of the ice. If I got lucky people would move their heads so I could see the goals. Then add to that the fact that the team played their worst game at home this season and it wasn’t exactly and enjoyable experience. At least I only paid $25 for that mess and got a bobblehead for it.
The new arena is fan friendly. There’s not a bad seat in the arena. Overall great experience!
The arena was amazing. It looked like there was no bad seat in the arena. Sound and lighting was some of the best i have ever seen. Concessions were a bit cheaper than i was expecting. Merchandise prices were ridiculous. Security procedures getting into the arena were excessive. A bit difficult to navigate to specific parts of the upper bowl. The game was entertaining even though i feel the NHL is becoming boring.
