  • Great Game!

    by Casey0203 on 2/21/11Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

I went with my best friend who was visiting from New York City and it was a great time and great game. The atmosphere was fun and exciting. Unfortunately, they [DePaul] ended up losing in over time but it was still a fun time! I would definitely go again.

  • Good but sloppy game

The view from Section 104 was very good. I liked that the Arena is pretty intimate for basketball games.

  • ND Romps Demons This Time

I started attending DePaul's basketball at age10 at DePaul's old auditorium "Barn": One night attended Bingo with grandma, next night at a De game with my uncle Bern real sports fan. I saw games from late 40s Jimmy Lampkin and Ray Meyer on. Later in old Chicago Stadium, "college double headers," ND on one end and DePaul on the other--playing major opponents. Incredible! Later, in Alumni Hall, with "big" games at UC; Finally at AllState Area. Also, I go to McGrath for womens' games. Do I recommend ND v DePaul Basketball? Does a bear hibernate in the woods? You bet!!.

  • Delano vs nd

by bshizzle on 2/5/11Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

As ND fans we expect a high quality game experience but we did not get that. The view was bad and so was the bar that cramped us. But it was a great game

  • Allstate Arena Deflated

I went to my first Depaul game. I really wanted to experience a Big East atmosphere. It was like I was at a community college game. Probably less than 100 students in student section. Pitt dominated as suspected, they really need to get the Depaul fans into the game. The best part of the game was beer was served at a college game!

This was my son's first college basketball game. He loved it, just wish that there were more students there to support. I was hopping that since Depaul was playing a #5 ranked team, the crowd would have been bigger and more of a atmposhere that you normally see with televised games

Event was GREAT because of the outcome (PITT won!). We were behind the Pitt bench with a lot - and I mean a LOT - of other Pitt fans! Too bad the DePaul students don't support their team. The view was OK but the seate were very cramped - the space between our sears and the row just in front of us.

  • cheap way to see Big East basketball in chicago

    by tharris1980 on 1/17/11Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 2 out of 5

The worst college basketball arena I have been to. It's old and has no character. The few fans make it a relatively quiet venue. It's not convenient to get to from downtown Chicago which likely explains the lack of fans. On the flip side if you are a fan of an away team it's easy to get last minute, cheap seats near the court.

UConn destroyed DePaul. It seemed DePaul had little strategy, no set plays and UConn's coach should be ashamed for running the score up and not giving his non-starters a chance to play even with a 30 point lead. With 5 minutes left and a 40 point lead the Coach puts back it's best player...

  • not so fun

    by H838 on 1/14/11Allstate Arena - RosemontRating: 2 out of 5

My first college basketball game was disappointing, the team did not play well and the venue was just fair. Note to self: WILL CALL is across the street at the Allstate Arena.
