    Defending the Caveman was average

by TIMTIM5 on 8/6/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

This one man show was average at best. I have seen this show many years ago and thought it would be run to go with new people. Show kind of dragged on and did not really go anywhere. It was OK

Out of the Cave - Into the Light

by PilgrimBelle on 8/6/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

Caveman kept us laughing the entire show .. shedding light on the realisms of why "man' is like he is ... a must see! Funny to demonstrate their communication levels and how it has not evloved all that much since the age of darkness - but why should it - we do most of the talking ...All to funny was his portrayal of the ladies ... come on - we know what we are like - he it the bison on the head with his spear about us ... and no - not all men are ***holes ... nor should we always think that ... would go again!

    Defending the Caveman

by CapeCod172 on 8/6/09Cape Cod Melody Tent - Hyannis

This is the second time I've seen the show. I saw it with my daughters in Chicago two years ago and wanted my husband to see it. He thoroughly enjoyed it and it was just as funny (and relavent) the second time around. Recommend it for a fun night out.

    Defending the Caveman was fantastic!

by SidneysSeal on 7/22/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

An excellent one man show! I laughed so hard I lost my voice! Expecting only entertainment, I was surprised at the accurate insight into why men and women do the things they do so differently. A very enjoyable way to learn to understand the different spin that men and women put on the same situation. I went with a female friend, had a great time and look forward to seeing it again with my husband!

    Defending the Caveman was FABULOUS!

by MKate on 7/21/09Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

I had seen this once before a while back, and thought that maybe this time I wouldn't find it as funny. But despite all of that, it was still one of the funniest plays I'd seen in a while. I enjoyed every minute of the performance. It was hilarious and even though, I knew what to expect, I still laughed until I cried - numerous times. I can't wait for it to come back to the area!!

    Caveman was entertaining!

by Eggbert on 7/21/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

It was funny yet different. I liked how he used his personal life to compare with the caveman. Both are not all that different. The show never seemed to drag and the audience was always attentive to what was going on. Good job!

by Bubbles2000 on 7/20/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

The show was absolutely amazing! My husband and I would defiantly recommend this to any married/ dating couples that live together. We laughed the whole time and we could relate to everything he was saying. Just to give you a heads up there is some profanity. It was AWESOME.

    Defending the Caveman

by Tommy24 on 7/20/09Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

It was great. I had seen this show in NYC in '97 with Michael Chikliss (sp?), and loved it. When I heard it was coming to Baltimore, I immediately knew I wanted to see it. I think it was done very well, and with his own personal twist, it was very enjoyable, and I did reccomend it to several friends........

    Defending the Caveman - Hilarious!

by csck on 7/20/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

This was the second time I have seen this side-splitting show with my husband, and we laughed about it repeatedly between the two events. It was our anniversary treat this year. I will continue to gather showtime information, as I plan to give tickets as gifts to family and friends. My husband, in true form, will continue to hunt down his favorite TV shows and remain uninvolved in gift giving..... :) Thank you Rob Becker and Ben Tedder-Pheasant Run July 18, 2009 (8:30 show)! Hope ya'll come back soon!

    Caveman was funny

by Rossboy777 on 7/20/09Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

More like a stand up routine than a play. Defending the Caveman made some valid points and raised some differences that I have never considered. Although the show is pretty funny, it relies on a few cliches along the way. Certian parts are educational and good for a laugh.

    Don't Miss Caveman!!!

by Preachrkid on 7/20/09Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

This was the first time seeing the show done by someone other than Rob Becker. Didn't know what to expect, but the new guy didn't disappoint. Went with 3 couples...all could relate, and we are still quoting lines. Every couple should see Caveman (maybe as a requirement for obtaining a marriage license). GO SEE IT!!!!

    Go see Defending the Caveman!!!

by Neenja on 7/20/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

This was a great show! I went with my boyfriend and we are still quoting parts of it. It gives a totally different insite to the differences between guys and girls. Very entertaining!

    Hillarious as usual.

by Steve195420715 on 7/19/09Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Venue and showing: Baltimore at the Hippodrome on 7/18 at 2 p.m. This is the 4th time I've seen Caveman. It's always hillarious and each actor brings his own flavor to the show. The interaction by Isaac with the audience at the end of the show was a hoot. One woman in the front row, a white haired elderly woman, said women had caves instead of baskets, which caused Isaac to step back and laugh. Once he composed himself, he explained that no man would want to go in a cave. That's where bats ive. The correct answer is baskets. I have to say the packed performances are a little more fun. I've seen it twice with a full audience (Warner and Spectrum) and twice with about a 1/3 full audience (Spectrum and Hippodrome) and there seemed to be better reactions at the full houses. So I would advise an evening show rather than a matinee when there is a home football game or some similar big event.

    Defending The Caveman was okay....

by Womanizer on 7/19/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

The stereotypical aspects of men and women were well done. The language could have been less crude and the act would still have been just fine.

Defending the Caveman and facial freeze

by fantasia on 7/19/09Pheasant Run - St Charles

We laughed so long and so hard that my face has permanently frozen into a grinning fool. We had seen it before downtown, but Ben delivered his routine with such aplomb and wit that we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Between his delivery, his timing and his just plain funniness, it was a great night out. We also brought our 23 year old son, who went along with great trepidation of what was to come. Within minutes of the opening lines, he never stopped laughing. Job well done!
