  • Firehouse

by THolz on 9/16/14Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 5 out of 5

I felt that all the bands really brought there "A" game --My 2 favorites if I had to choose were Firehouse and Scrap Metal. We ended up meeting the Bassist by the elevators and the lead singer in the casino area from Firehouse--- they both took a few minutes to chat and shake our hands which to me was very classy.

Other than the cold from this being so late in the season, this concert never disappoints. Love the hairbands!

Second year we have attended, all in all the bands rocked! However get rid of Lita Ford not a big crowd draw. Jack Russell's Great White, Warrant, Firehouse, Scrap Metal, and Winger all gave the crowd a hell of a show, took a while to get my hearing fully back(well worth it!!!!! We didn't stay for Dee just because he didn't interest us. Next year it would be nice to see more 1st time bands...Cinderella, Slaughter etc...

  • love the 80's bands

by shan40 on 9/16/14Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 4 out of 5

there was no reason to have an hour and a half break between fire house and scrap metal. theres enough break in between band set ups.

  • Grand indeed

by willsnake on 9/15/14Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 4 out of 5

2 days of rock, and it was a lot of fun. Friday was mostly 70's night, with Sweet, April Wine, Foghat, and Blue Oyster Cult. I believe BOC was only band with more than one original member (they have 2), so it isn't quite the same as seeing the originals, but hearing songs like Fox on the Run, Ballroom Blitz, Roller, Slow Ride, & Don't Fear the Reaper live was incredible. Saturday was more 80's tunes featuring Jack Russell's Great White, Lita Ford, FireHouse, Scrap Metal (all-star band), Winger, Warrant, and headliner Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame. I actually enjoyed the opener of the day Great White probably the most. I think Saturday was too many bands and too long overall (ended about 11 hours after it started) and 1:45 delay between FireHouse and Scrap Metal was way too long. But it was a memorable experience for sure.

  • Needs Some Improving

by JoeysPCs on 9/15/14Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 4 out of 5

First of all the Bands were amazing, We really wanted to see the Saturday Lineup - 80s Hair Bands - , But were also impressed by how the 70s night Bands rocked our faces off!! The Bands and Music was great. The stage is a great sounding stage, with a canopy over the front Pit Area, this was very nice. The Weather was awful again this year, the first year it rained, and the second year was very cold, while this is not the concert promotors fault, But it kept people from getting really fired up or nuts. We had two issues that need to be addressed, first the camping, Those of us that arrived first were put in the back, the farthest from the Stage, They need to give the first people the best camping opportunity. Second the wristbands that got you into concert were not over and under 21 specific, if you wanted a beer you had to have an ID on you, and you could not take that beer back to your camper. We do not carry our wallets or purses so give me a 21 wristband, we just quit buying beer up at the concert. I also feel the price is a little high 120 for pit, but 20 camping was awesome

  • Everything was fantastic!!

by Rock500 on 9/15/14Grand Casino Hinckley Amphitheater - HinckleyRating: 5 out of 5

Everything from beginning to end was perfect! We couldn't believe how reasonably priced the drinks and food were. Everyone we met was so nice, we loved that you didn't need tickets for drinks, and the stage and everything was perfect. The only complaint I would have is not being able to record videos on a cell phone. I didn't quite understand why that was, since it was outside. The bands, though, were all amazing, each and every one! Dee Snider was one of the best concerts of my life. If you have the same lineup in the future, '70s and/or '80s rock, we will be back every year!!

The whole show was great! I love the 80's theme, it was so cool! I'm just bummed the show didn't last longer. Time just flew by....Like it's said, all good things must come to an end.

  • I wanted to Rock and Boy Did I

by KennyandEaglesFan on 5/16/10Atlantic City Hilton - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Great show. Loved the video intro and then playing the Sammy Hagar song There's only one way to rock. Nice set list by each band. Hopoing that Jeff would haved played Little Suzi, but can't complain. After the 3rd time of seeing Lita, finally got to see the hits. She . was on fire. Nice touch with the family, especially when Lita played Cherry Bomb. That was not expected.
