About

DEE SNIDER’S ROCK & ROLL CHRISTMAS TALE tells the story of Däisy Cütter, a heavy metal bar band looking to make it big even though the 80s are LONG over. This year, these four guys are ready to take the ultimate step and, in mythic rock tradition, sell their souls to the devil in exchange for success beyond their wildest metal dreams! But every time they try to seal the infernal pact, their head-banging anthems turn into warm-hearted carols. Soon these rockers are forced to realize their dreams of stardom are no match for the Christmas spirit. Dee Snider, infamous lead singer of Twisted Sister, has created and stars in a VERY funny, VERY rocking and (sshhh!) VERY sweet new holiday musical, guaranteed to rock your holiday.

This show was a nice mix of Christmas and 80's Hair Band Rock & Roll. Dee Snider has a great personality and didn't miss a beat when the audience caused him to miscue during his opening monologue.

    Don't bother seeing this one

by Anonymous on 11/10/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I was very disappointed. For the price I expected a lot more. I felt the only positives were the female singing voices - beautiful. I also expected it to feel Christmasy which it did not.

    Horrible, simply horrible

    by rgz77 on 11/10/14Broadway Playhouse - Chicago

This was, hands down, the worst live musical I have ever seen. The plot was weak at best and the music hardly showcased the talent on stage. Not only were there several instances of botches lines by Mr. Snider, but the entire production was hardly worthy of the hefty ticket price. My opinion, save your money and avoid a waste of a beautiful night in Chicago like we did.

Dee Sniders Rock and Roll Christmas was not worth

by Weesa1 on 11/10/14Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

3or 4 songs played during the entire show. It was heavy metal not Rock and Roll music

    Horrible, simply horrible

    by rgz77 on 11/8/14Broadway Playhouse - Chicago

This was one of the worst live performances we have ever seen. Not only were the lines botched frequently, however even if they said everything flawlessly the plot was incredibly stupid. None of the songs showcased the talent onstage and frankly I would have rather left early and got my money back if possible. What a complete waste of a beautiful night in Chicago. My advice: spare yourself and do NOT attend this show. It's crap.

    Entertaining, witty and fun

Laced with subtle humor and wit. This fun holiday rock anthem is well timed for the Christmas season. With familiar music from Twisted Sister this show will definitely take you back to the big hair days of the 80's. Dee Snider's Rock & Roll Christmas Tale is a show that is fun for the whole family. Definitely worth seeing.
