    Amaazing

by msmilli on 9/13/16The Cambridge Room at House Of Blues - Dallas

His energy was contagious and high throughout the night. He spent a while on stage, so I definitely got my moneys worth and then some. He talked alot about his life and really connected to the audience. A must go to show! P.S. He is FINE.

    Dee Shines

by EOrtli1 on 4/13/15House of Blues New Orleans - New Orleans

Whether you know him as Dee, Dee-1, Deezy, David, or Mr. Augustine, his shows exemplify what the man, the artist, and the movement he's painstakingly created over the years has become. His birthday bash was no exception; he didn't disappoint. He spoke to each of us, thanked us, and showed us love as much as he rapped. Even those of us who have known him for years learned something new about him. He opened up as he typically does through his songs. If you haven't yet seen him on the 3's Up tour, you need to. There are nights that you look back upon and remember forever. If you enjoy his music or his movement, attending a Dee-1 concert will be one of those nights. -Erich from BTR

    History in the Making!

by Gdero on 3/10/15Rough Trade NYC - Brooklyn

I did not approve of the first act by Major Van Wyckle, his content was very explicit and crude. He constantly was cursing, referring to his penis and speaking of oral sex. This opening act was unexpected since Dee-1 is a Christian rapper. Next time, please give the crowd a heads up that the opening acts may be offensive to some people. The second act by downbeat keys was slightly sexually explicit too, but much more entertaining than the first act. Finally, Dee-1, Dee-uno, his performance was amazing. In my opinion there was no need for any prior acts to so call "warm up the stage" for Dee-1. Dee-1 instantly would have caught the audience attention and have them dancing. I love his energy, honesty and his sharing of his faith. The show was both entertaining as well as inspirational.
