About

DEAN BRODY IN CONCERT:

With his puppy dog eyes and barrel-aged voice, Canadian country singer Dean Brody joins an ever-growing number of artists putting Canada right smack in the middle of country music's map. A consummate performer, Brody's charming personality makes his live shows a friendly affair characterized by audience interaction and personal stories outlining the inspiration behind his songs. Brody made even the smallest venues feel like outsized arenas at his 2013 tour dates, firing up audiences with electrifying sets that are sure to satisfy more crowds in 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born and raised in British Columbia, Brody worked in a sawmill as a boy, honing his guitar chops in his spare time. In 2004, he moved to Nashville to pursue music, working as a songwriter for several years before releasing his debut single "Brothers" in 2008. His self-titled debut album would follow in 2009, garnering him attention with US country audiences and setting the stage for 2010 sophomore album Trail in Life, which earned him five nominations at the 2011 Canadian Country Music Awards. After selling out his first headlining tour in 2012, Brody returned to the studio to record 2013's Crop Circles, which scored him his first No. 1 hit with "Bounty."

Great concert. Great venue. Great show!! Talented artists

  • Weather delays and felt rushed

by Josstheboss on 8/27/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Dean played all his hit songs. Cattleman was a fell flat I think for the crowd. The weather delays were a big buzz kill and felt we lost a lot of the show and songs from Dean. Also the "friends"aspect of the show was so brief. Other then the openers Tyler Joe Miller (amazing) Nate Smith (okay), Meaghan Patrick only came out for a brief second which was disappointing.

  • Rain delays SUCK!

    by X Mark’s The Spot on 8/27/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Would have given the concert, a better rating, but the rain delays caused Dean to rush through his set. Seemed like there was a time crunch, which was unfortunate as I feel the end time should have been increased due to the multiple rain delays.

  • Worst concert ever

by Lisa on 8/27/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Why would they drop the concert as soon as the lightening stopped but allow them to play during the worst weather possible , we should be compensated for our tickets, Dean only played 4-5 songs & was done.

  • Dean Brody

by Big B on 3/27/23WinSport Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Parking somewhat unorganized. Concession stands overwhelmed. Not clearly marked that there are more ( no line ups ) On other side of stage. Concert overall good. Muffled sound at opposite end of stage.

  • Best concert ever!

by A country fan on 3/27/23WinSport Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I’m a big fan of Dean Brody anyway but this was the best one of his I’ve been to since his tour with Dallas Smith! I loved the smaller venue - it was so much more personable. Tyler Joe Miller was great too and I love when there is just 2 artists. Sometimes it is too much when there is 3 or 4 opening acts! Parking was not great but was worth the concert experience! 5 star all the way!

  • Awesome

by Josh Erickson on 3/27/23WinSport Event Centre - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Show was absolutely amazing! The WinSport Event Centre was the perfect place for a show like that. I was in the back but the view was still amazing. 10/10

  • Great time & great company!

by Steph on 9/30/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert put on by our Canadian country artists! Have yet to miss a Dean Brody concert. I love the venue as it is outside but I do miss the choice of lawn rather then seats. Arrived at 7 and the alcohol was already limited (no beer) which isn't the biggest deal for myself but for a major venue that shouldn't happen

  • Dean and friends

by Dee on 9/28/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Over all Dean was amazing but I wanted to see more of the Recklaws and JBB They only sang one song each and one with Dean. Not the best concert I’ve been too.

  • IT WAS OK

by REFGIRL on 9/28/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

when Dean (or the other singers) were talking, it was very garbled and we couldn't understand what was being said. The acoustics were terrible . Eric Eagleson was great - The Reklaws were so so - James Barker band was so so - Dean Brody for the most part was ok

  • Good, could have been great

    by X Mark’s The Spot on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Dean Brody never disappoints, but I did leave this concert wanting more. Jade E put on a good show, appropriate in length for an opener. Super disappointed that The Reklaws and JBB played 2 songs each. I felt it was a bit misleading to list them as one of the acts with Dean and Jade, when they were on stage for MAX 10min. Good, could have been great.

  • Awesome

by Tina on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Had an absolute blast!! Friend and I went last minute, we really enjoyed ourselves.

  • Brodeo!!

by Stubbs on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Dean and his Brodeo put on yet another amazing show!!! Jade Eagleson was also fantastic as the opening act. Nice cameo’s from The Recklaws and James Barker Band as well.

  • Dean Brody concert

by Cat on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

What an amazing concert. Enjoyed jade eagleson opening and how reklaws and jbb were brought in as friends and sang with dean and sang some songs on there own. Excellent Excellent Excellent

  • Alright venue

    by schmidtguy1 on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

Overpriced food and drinks, need more security at night after show (quite a bit drunk people).- Friend and I almost got knocked out by a beer can. Some guy wanted to fight us after the show- we did nothing to him.

  • Last Summer Concert

by Mommamoore on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

First of all, security at the entrance gate was all over the place...no bags allowed. Well, depending on the outfit someone was wearing they were allowed in the quick, no bag line or had to line up. We watched with great interest. Washrooms as always were dicey (sex and drugs). Try not to go but when you do, interesting stuff going on in the co-ed bathrooms. And at a certain point during the evening, the staff have almost given up on trying to keep up with the mess. For the concert, Jade was FANtastic, enjoyed it. We were very surprised (and happy) at the length of his set and later realized it was because the Reklaws and James Barker Band were only "appearances" 2 songs each from them - kind of disappointing. Dean was good, he's been better but that's how live appearances go. All in all, I'm glad we were able to attend even though with the Go Train not operating was a huge hiccup. When he comes back next year (fingers crossed) I'll be there,

  • The Brodeo!

by Burger on 9/27/22Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Something seemed a little off with Dean. Still put on a good show. Just not energy packed as usual. Jade Eagleson was great live as well!

  • Worth the drive

by A country fan on 6/6/22River Cree Resort & Casino - EnochRating: 5 out of 5

Drove 5 hours to attend and it was worth every minute. Love Dean Brody and he didn’t disappoint! Played almost 2 straight hours and when came back for encore didn’t just play one song but a few! He is so down to earth and sincere. ❤️
