    any show!

by mblovesdotn on 2/5/10any! - all!

For anyone thinking about seeing Travis live - do it! Travis is happy and healthy and putting on amazing shows! Travis has been playing a medley of the older songs, from the first album, Orange (yellow) at shows and this has been a big hit. He's scheduled a lot of shows, some solo acoustic sets coming up. Check out his myspace page daysofthenew or visit the daysofthenew.com website forums for tourdate and other info. The Purple album is in the works and will be amazing.

Days of the New- travis steps up...

by BurtFurt on 1/26/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

I saw Days of the New in 2008 and let me tell you that the performances were like night and day. Travis was mythical on the guitar and his interaction with the crowd was a pleasant suprise, i saw a musician who poured his heart in soul out on that stage and delivered with his music......i can't wait till Travis comes back. TREE COLORS!!!!!!!!

    Days of the New

by AlexfromJerz on 1/25/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

Travis went on around 12:45 and opened with a pretty cool jam. He the proceeded to talk about his meth addiction and how the money we paid for the tickets aren't going to his addiction which I doubt. He played a pretty decent set and ended with "the end." He played a bunch of songs from yellow and a few others. Its a damn shame what he has done to himself.. he just had no energy to him.. overall it was worth it since I love his music. Just a shame he's killing himself.

    Best concert experience

    by sunshine80 on 1/24/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

This was the best rock concert experience for me because it was in a small venue, and it was intimate. The place was filled with real Days of the New fans. The audience was friendly, I talked to someone next to me about the upcoming Alice in Chains concerts in March. When Travis finally came out, he was a bit late, and I admit, I think we were all shocked by his appearance. To say he was thin was an understatement. I couldnt stop looking at when happened to this incredibly handsome man, it was very sad. He started the set with 10 minutes of acoustic medleys. Then, he started chatting with the audience and never stopped! He shared what was going on with his plans for the new album, he commented on his appearance on Intervention, and he passed around his personal notebook to get everyone's email address. His vocals were unreal. At moments, I was just staring at him in amazement. There were about 6 guitars set up on stage. His bass player was great and the drummer was playing on the biggest drum set I've ever seen, complete with bongo drums and a triangle. He ended by doing a cover of a Doors song. He was personable and made eye contact and smiled at the audience members - I was in the front row and he smiled at me a few times as I sang along to "Touch, Peel and Stand." He interacted with his other band members as if he were conducting an orchestra - he is definitely a mastermind. I just hope he stays healthy.

    Days of The New

Travis Meeks was on time and put on a great show. The club environment with only about 200 in attendance made it more enjoyable. Hung out with the band after the show until we all got kicked out at 2am! Unforgettable night.

    Days of the New Sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Concert24 on 9/25/09Biffs Sports Bar - Spring Lake Park

We got to Biffs around 5:30 pm. Doors opened at 7:00 pm. The first band did not go on until around 9:30. They ended around 10:15 then the second wait started. Finally around 11:45, Days of the New decided to show up and then started to tune their guitars. One would think they would be there a lot early and get the tuning of their guitars before they were supposed to be on. Then when they did start playing, they played on good song and then three of the worse songs I have ever heard in my life. We left at around 12:45 because it was a work night so who can stay at a bar until 2:00 listening to a band that could not have the decency of showing up on time when people paid to see them and were on time. My wife was looking forward to seeing them since she has most of their CD"s and wanted them to get signed but she was highly disappointed also. During the entire period of waiting, not one message was said about what is going until about five minutes before Days of the New came on. This was the worst concert and concert experience that I have ever had. Pathetic.

by Eruthe1 on 8/18/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Came on stage late. Amazing Show. However the crowd pretty much disappeared before DOTN ever got on stage. I LOVE the band the show was great but Travis is a genius and didn't give really care about the audience. Never talked. SHOW WAS GREAT. However when the show was done no encore. NOTHING. damn. Don't get me wrong the show was great I just wanted a little more. show started at 8 but DOTN came on stage at 11:40 and ended at 1:20

    Travis M needs another intervention.

by KTJ56 on 8/16/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

I was so excited to see Days Of The New and was I disappointed. They came on at like 11:30 and Travis was clearly not clear headed. I will admit that some portions of the set where good but there was no charisma and when they where done they just walked of the stage . Very Disapointing from a band that I had seen in its prime that was fantastic.

    Like watching a train wreck

by DanW3 on 8/16/09Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Not good - sad in fact. I'm a big fan, but he came out over an hour late, obviously as high as a kite, eyes sunk back into his head, and then took 5 minutes before each song tuning up his guitars. Still enjoyed Shelf and Touch/Peel, but it was like watching the demise of an otherwise great musician. Sad.
