    Absolutely Insane!

by RyanChristian on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

Absolutely the best time I have had in DC and maybe the best time in roughly 5 years that I have had in general. I didn't know what to expect and it completely exceeded my expectations. I'll be there next year and every year that follows.

I purchased tickets for the VIP and couldn't get in I arrived at 9 and the security shut down the ticket booth! Even after I purchased the tickets!

The event staff could not handle the volume at Will call- it was absurb, i myself am in the industry and thought this was ridiculous. Obviously they pocketed a lot of money b/c the did not pay anyone to run the front. It was literally a mob in front of the windows. horrible.

    Peace, Love, and House Music

by TiBoul on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

This event was great! Totally worthwhile. The only thing was that the lines for the will-call tickets WERE NOT organized. I waited for over an hour to get my ticket. There was no order what so ever and officials only came in at the last minute to organize the will-call. Word of advice, get your ticket early so it can be mailed to you in advance. The music great and it was great atmosphere. Will definitely be going again next year.

    Crazy night

    by kbg2 on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

Day Glow was an AMAZING party. It was the best party I've been to, well maybe ever. The only complaint is that the will call line was ridiculous. It was more like a mass of people rather than a line. And then the wait to get in was about a half hour. But once inside it was definitely worth the wait and definitely lived up to my expectations.

Awesome show, it was truly transcendental. It starts a little bit slow, but once you get into it, it's amazing.

Will-call was terrible. I literally had to FIGHT with people to get to the front and get my tickets. My friend nearly got knocked out by someones elbow because she is not so tall. There was no organisation to it; something VERY different needs to be done next time. The show itself was fantastic once we finally had our tickets. The paint was great, the music was great. It was pretty freakin great !!! :)

DJs were incredible, light show and dancers blew my mind-- PAINT should definitely be a bigger part of everyone's life. Love it.

    Poor Organization Overall Good Experience

by Anonymous on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

I paid for my tickets online with ticketmaster along with two friends of mine & we all bought Will Call tickets. Meaning once I arrived to the event I'd get my tickets first & not have to wait in line as if I needed to purchase my tickets then & there at the event. When I first arrived to the DayGlow event I was exicited & anxious to be there. We parked & went right away to get our actual tickets, knowing we only had to show our ID & Credit Card used to purchase the tickets. When we got to the "ticket area" is was a COMPLETE & UTTER DISASTER!! Never seen that kind of atmosphere in my whole entire life. I expected Way Better on Organization. It was Horrible!! My friends & I felt like we were in a mob to just get our Will Call tickets. Basically we wasted almost 2 hours just on getting our tickets to get into DayGlow. Honestly not going back to DayGlow in this State again!

Upon arrival my friends and i were all super excited. But when we got 2 the will call booth there was a jumble of people, metal fences put up with no entrance, stadium security that had no idea what was going on or why it was taking so long for us to get our tickets. I finally jumped the fence and got my tickets. An hour and a half later we were ready to party. But by the time we got in, they stopped selling cocktails and beers. it was around midnight. There weren't that many people there. I have to say that The Devil from Acapulco and the paint splashing were AWESOME! but everything else, like the amount of people and the energy of the crowd, the rest of the music was just eh.....

    Dayglow=Best night of your life!!!

by Theguywhosnasty on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

When I got there it looked like nobody got the memo. The crowd was pretty thin. The event started and I would say barely 200 people were present. As the night progressed, people showed up by the hundreds. By midnight, there were easily thousands partying. The countdown was epic, the djs were epic. I brought my girlfriend who HATES techno/dubstep/electronic music and shes decided for me that we are attending the next one in DC too. The crowd was a little rowdy at this particular venue, at one point they stopped the music and told everyone to stop pushing forward stay in a spot and have fun. Safety = big plus..This was easily in the top 3 best nights of my life. Be warned, u will not leave the event without paint on you. It's a paint party man!! It washes out easy though, just throw ur clothes in the wash as soon as u get home. I bought the VIP package which allowed us speedy entry (not picking up from willcall tho, I wish they had separate windows), a great quality shirt, a swagg wristband and drawstring bag, a CD with sick tunes and a bottle of paint. Value wise, the VIP ticket is worth the extra $20 IMO.

The slogan for the event is to escape reality and that's what happened. Crazy good times.

    lackluster performances

    by my2centsforya on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

Let me start with the fact that the paint idea was AWESOME. That part of the event is why I had such a good time. But the music was just OK. I heard at least 3 songs more than once. Bad Boy Bill didn't come on to any real fanfare like he used to. No real scratching, no pronouncements of his name or ego-centric intro that we all know and love. They stopped serving alcohol due to some issue with underage drinkers. Really? There are always going to be underage kids trying to drink- did they really outsmart the event staff so much that they couldn't get a handle on it? Disappointing. The guy in the balloon ball on stage was freakin' cool though. Music was OK. Paint was lots of fun.

    one of the worst experiences

by ZTan on 5/2/11RFK Stadium - Washington

I truly regret purchasing a ticket to this event. When I arrived at the opening of the event at 8pm, I was forced to stand in line for 2.5 hours waiting to receive my ticket from will call. In that line, I was pushed around in what can only be described as a drunken mob until a certain point where I could no longer breath. Finally at 10:30, I was able to get my ticket and I needed a security guard's help to pull myself out from the pushing crowd. Then I got in to the parking lot where the event took place. It was 50 degrees outside and cold paint was being splashed on me. The crowd was equally drunk as the mob at the will call line. There was vomit everywhere and underage drunken girls being dragged out from the crowd. Day glow is a good idea in theory, but should be strictly 21+ since it was obvious a majority of the drunken people were underage.
