  • I caught myself in tears at some point!!!

    by BF2012 on 2/12/12Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was amazing. It went from classical to rock and all of it with the same quality and talent that we all came to expect from David. I can't wait for the next show already!

David Garret never ceases to impress. Really connected with the audience between sets. Even with a broken string he played on with amazing talent. Great arrangements and band. Overall great night.

  • Love Garrett

    by Meek11 on 2/10/12The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second time seeing David Garrett. He was just as increditable as the first. I was concerned with the show not changing in a year but it was totally different then the last. I highly recommend seeing him if you have the opportunity.

  • David Garrett is visionary, yet entertaining!

    by musicmatters2 on 2/9/12Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Even my daughter loved the concert. Great blend of styles, band vs. solo, sharing vs. just jamming. I think a David Garrett concert is something wonderful to experience!

  • Mozart Disguise as David Garrett

by CindyJPhung on 2/9/12Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

It was my first time attending Mr. Garrett's live concert. He was amazing and such impeccable talent he possess. He is able to transform an ironic classical piece like Summer (Vivaldi) into a modern rock prelude. He has single-handedly cross-over from classical to rock. However, his range doesn't stop at just rock. David is able to play from Justin Timberlake to Michael Jackson to AC/DC to Phil Collins. His performance was magical and simply breath taken. Watching David was like watching Mozart in my life time. Brilliant.

  • Get lost in David!

by LuckyZem on 2/9/12Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Being an artist myself, it is a true joy, wonder, and simply beautiful to get lost in someone else's passion. David had me wrapped up his composition and emotion. The only comparison I can make is going to view your most loved work of art in a museum.....that feeling you get when you stand in front of it and admire the lines, contrasts, shading and composition....intense. David's arrangement was carefully thought out and put together. Each piece was unique and played with visible passion~~never mind the fact that he is beyond easy on the eyes. The band and David mesh together in a way that most artists have trouble creating.....they were amazing as well.

  • David Garrett Was Phenomenal!!

by margocaroline on 2/8/12Beacon Theater - New York CityRating: 5 out of 5

If you like classical music with a twist of modern, edgier sound this is the artist to see. He kept the audience riveted whether it was playing with his band or telling us anecdotes. What a talented musician. A must see over and over again. Next time he comes, I will certainly go see him.

  • Very Good - Sehr gut!

by mrdinklemansfriend on 2/7/12Lisner Auditorium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The Lisner Auditorium was a very cosy place for an evening of such sweet music. I saw David in Frankfurt last fall. This was my first "rock symphonies" experience and it seems that LIVE it sounds better than on the albums. 5 stars twice for CRY ME A RIVER! Thank you!

  • Virtuoso!!

  • David Garrett and his band were phenomenal!!

by LMTA on 2/7/12Lisner Auditorium - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

I had seen David Garrett's various performances on PBS and YouTube after discovering him quite by accident two years ago. My husband and I were extremely pleased to find out he was coming to the Lisner Auditorium and promptly purchased tickets. I'm pleased to say that David and his band were AMAZING......David is on fire when he's playing the violin and you can see it in his facial expressions and hear it in the astounding music that comes from his very soul. As he plays, one can't help but move with the music, taking in the pleasurable tones emanating from his violin....David's band compliments his eclectic style, each musician adding a bit more magic to the whole musical experience. I like the way David incorporated his latest CD's songs into the mix of classical and rock from his past CD's. I enjoyed David's humorous snippets leading up to each song he played, engaging the already enthralled audience with a peek into his 'daily' life. From a Michael Jackson medley, Phil Collins, and Nirvana, to classics from the maestros of the past, David entertained the diverse audience with a nicely mixed selection of music. He ended this fantastic concert with his rendition of Queen's "We Will Rock You" and everyone was on their feet singing, cheering, and dancing!! I have been to many, many concerts in my lifetime, and I would rank David Garrett among my top four!!! That's quite a complement since I've seen the likes of Led Zeppelin, Moody Blues, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, etc....Kudos to David and his band. When he returns to the DC area, we will be there to see him again.....Rock On, David Garrett!!!!!

  • David Garrett was FABULOUS!!!

by Babexyz on 2/6/12Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I discovered him about a year ago and have been looking for a concert in my area. He was performing @ The Beacon Theatre in NYC on Sat. & was lucky enough to get a front row, center seat! Loved him on TV, but live and up close, I was mesmerized! He played everything from Vivaldi to Nirvana. He did an acapello duet of Clair Du Lune that took my breath away. On the opposite end of the musical spectrum, his finale was Queen's "We Will Rock You". His rendition of Beethoven's "The 5th" (as he calls it) is mind blowing! During one piece, I swear the strings got so hot he broke one! The audience was a mix of young kids to seniors... his appeal is universal. If he comes to your town, go see him! The tickets were reasonable and we got 2 hours of incredible music! Went right out and bought 2 of his DVD's so I could relive this night!
