Since first stepping into the pop spotlight at age 17, David Archuleta has embodied the kind of genuine star power that can't be manufactured. After years of dazzling audiences with his radiant personality and phenomenal voice--a journey that's included turning out multiple platinum-selling hits, achieving global acclaim as a captivating live performer, and emerging as an undeniable fixture on the pop-culture scene--the Miami-born singer/songwriter experienced a major personal transformation that radically altered his identity as an artist. As shown in his singles "Creme Brulee" and "Hell Together," Archuleta has dramatically expanded the landscape of his songwriting and devoted himself to making pop music with equal parts uncompromising emotion and exhilarating impact.
I drove 3 hours to see his show and I am not disappointed. It was worth it,
Awesome show! David was his usual spectacular self...one of the most amazing live performers out there. The band was fantastic as well. I like the size of the venue, not too big, not too small. It's like a party atmosphere with everybody rockin out with David!
David Archuleta is an amazingly talented young man. He has the pipes to sing anything.
The music was absolutely wonderful, great mix of pop and Christmas, throughly enjoyed it all. This is the 2nd time seeing him at the Sherman and was not disappointed. Dragged my 22yr old son and even he enjoyed it
This concert was a lot of fun! Very up close and personal venue and David's vocals sounded amazing!
I brought my two teens and a friend to see David Archuleta's Holiday Show. He performed for 2 hrs, and every song showcased his remarkable talent.......the only downside was the venue.......the cigarette smoke at Turning Stone was so awful....that we will never return.........kd
David Archuleta sounds better than ever. He is more comfortable on stage and has matured though the years since American Idol. The crowd was mixed with both adults and teen aged girls. The show was enjoyed equally by all. It was nice that he mixed in some of his pop music along with the Christmas classics.
David Archuleta is one of the best singers, songwriters, and performers there are in this world today! He puts so much emotion and feeling into all the songs he sings, and while you're at one of his concerts, you can actually feel his heart beating through the music he is singing. Unlike so many other artists, he can just sit down at a piano and capture people's attention. Most artists need crazy costume changes, stunts, pyrotechnics, and other insane things, but he can just sing and be the center of all attention. Seeing David in concert was seriously the best night of my life.
COULDN'T HAVE BEEN BETTER!! THEY PICKED THE PERFECT VENUE TO HAVE THIS CONCERT. IT WAS VERY ENJOYABLE FOR ALL AGES AND DAVID WAS AMAZING. IT WAS FOR A GREAT CAUSE AND HE PUT ON A HECK OF A SHOW. I HOPE HE TOURS IN THE DALLAS AREA AGAIN SOON. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM ONCE AGAIN!! =D I HAD GREAT SEATS.....CENTER - 6TH ROW!! THE WHOLE SHOW WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, BUT MY FAVORITE SONGS WERE; FALLING STARS, THE OTHER SIDE OF DOWN, MY KIND OF PERFECT, CRUSH AS WELL AS ALL THE CHRISTMAS SONGS!!!
The Grove is a small, intimate venue that suits David well. We got the VIP package that included free reserved parking and being able to hang out in the Terra Rosa room for a drink with friends before the show and that was nice. I really wish it had also included meet and greet passes and would have gladly paid an upcharge. Our seats were awesome and we were very lucky that the piano was on our side of the stage. I think the same seats on the other side would have had an obscured view of David when he played. The sound quality was great. The one major disappointment was that the venue did not allow photographs of any kind. David's manager said it was fine in a tweet just before the show, but the venue still prohibited it. When I was there last year for David's Christmas concert it was allowed, so I'm not sure what the problem was but I hope it isn't that way from now on. I would have loved to have some pictures to remember the night, especially since our seats were so great.
It was a dinner show. The food was great and getting to know other David Archuleta fans was fun! David was fantastic as he always is! The show had a variety of music and his voice was just amazing. He gives out such positive energy! The Grove Anaheim is a venue I enjoy. They are well organized and have pleasant staff.
The most amazing concert I've ever been to! Love Love Love!
Wow! David was outta this world! Perfect vocals, commanded the stage like a seasoned pro, charming as usual and showcased his performance like a rock star! No one can sing live like David does. Can't wait for the next concert! Bring on TOUR for 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!
David still has it! He sounded better than ever with his smooth voice! Very upbeat and entertaining concert, would highly reccommend his concert for anyone! Will definitely see him again!
Backup too loud. Drowned out Archuleta's voice. Songs were not what Archuleta's voice is about. Or maybe I don't know what he is about??? He has such a wonderful voice. His voice is lost in the peppy music he was trying to portray and lost in the loudness of the musicians. He is better in the ballads. His voice comes out then.
David, as always, was amazing, and a delight, but difficult to hear and enjoy, because ... his new band completely overpowered him, at times even seeming dischordant. The best numbers were with David on piano, or accompanied only with acoustic guitar. The band numbers made me plug my ears to try to filter out sound so I could hear David. Take away the band, add one or two acoustic guitars (at the right sound level), use a keyboard rather than the piano, and the concert would have been amazing. Everyone at our table agreed.
David is a fantastic artist and puts out 100% effort at his shows.
This was my third time seeing David live and he never disappoints. He was on fire through the whole show and his usual sweet, cheerful self in his between song banter. He gets better with every performance and this one was no exception. If you haven't had the chance to see this brilliantly talented young man perform, do so ASAP! You won't be disappointed.
The concert itself was EPIC and was everything I had dreamed it would be! The only think that was bad, was the fact that the hostess didn't bother asking if my group and I wanted anything to drink.
David Archuleta live is an event no one should miss. I love his recordings but he takes you to a whole new world when he performs live. In this Anaheim concert, he showcased one of the best vocals I've heard of him (and I've seen him 4 times). Band is great, though at times they get really loud. I think the venue was too strict on picture/video-taking & their sound system was not the best, but overall it was an awesome experience because of the amazing solo performer. Highly recommend an Archuleta concert!!!
