David Archuleta is such a great performer. While he was on stage he would be non stop moving. He sang amazing! He grabbed the audience. Everyone was singing and jumping and dancing to every song. This would have been one of the best concerts ive been.
it seemed at first that it was going to be a long time before david was going to perform because of the warm-up acts but because of those acts it made you antcipate for the concert to start even more. when he ran out on stage the crowd roared and it was so exciting to see him. :)
Everyone fell in love with David Archuleta on American Idol. His voice and his spirit captured our hearts. There is always a concern, however, that when the artist goes forward after the show, they won't stay true to what made you fall in love with their music in the first place. I can assure you though that this was not the case with David A. He is adorable... and THAT AMAZING VOICE! I could listen all day! Lot's of energy and fun at the concert, plus he did a great mix of music with his hits, and with his piano so you could hear him play. One of the things I really loved was that there were people from all age groups represented in the crowd... young and old alike, dancing, clapping and having a great time. I had to drive 2 hours to the concert and 2 hours back, but the event was worth the drive. He still had that great smile and a sense of 'awe' in his voice that all of this was happening for him. It was a joy and delight to be a part of his success and to buy this ticket and to hear his music live. My only regret, is that he is not the main act in the coming summer events. If he had his own tour this summer, I would have bought more concert dates for myself and my family! WE LOVE YOU DAVID... DON'T STOP ... AND KEEP YOUR HEART!
David Archuleta has the greatest singing voice ever and he connects to the fans. His true soul shines in his performance. He smiles which makes the fans smile and enjoy every minute of him. I would love to attend another concert where he would be allowed to go into the audience like Taylor Swift does at her concerts.
He sounded wonderful! Best live Vocals I have ever heard!
I loved, loved David Archuleta's concert. I went to his Pomona concert in March and was blown away by him, his vocals, his stage presence are unreal. Didn't think getting better was possible, but it is! His change ups of his songs are surprising, he makes every song fresh with every performance... he was born to do this! David Archuleta is the best singer/songwriter/performer I have had the pleasure in seeing live twice, and a third time at the Nokia in LA, in decades. I recommend anyone who hasn't seen him live to don't miss the opportunity, no one compares to him. I will see him at every opportunity possible.
The show was entertaining. Nothing terrific, but about what you'd expect and the price was right. David was adoreable. My only complaint is that the acoustics at the fairgrounds are far from ideal.
David Archuleta puts on a great performance. I took 3 friends that are not huge David fans but they loved the show and said David sound great and the show it's was awesome.
Show was great !!!!! Looking forward to seeing a longer set on his next show. A++++++
My daughter and I loved the concert at the Del Mar Fairgrounds! Everything about the evening was perfect! Our seats were nice. We even got to go right up in front of the stage. David was so happy because it was His first concert where he was the headliner. The audience was thrilled. My 12 year old daughter and I danced all evening and made friends with the girls that had the seats next to ours! I am telling you , it was awesome!!! I will always use Ticketmaster. We will never forget this special evening! We followed the whole last year and this year on American Idol so it was so neat to see and hear one of our favorites!!
david archuleta was absolutely amazing! he was very energetic and made the crowd jump and be excited. it was so good that it felt like it was only 5 minutes long. i would definitely go again.
my mom and i went to the concert because we loved david on American Idol!! I did not know his concert was going to be that AMAZING!!! He sounded just like his CD!! I hope you come back next year i would love to sit closer!!! David you Rock!!
David was very sweet and so real. He has incredible talents and his voice is out of this world. What an amazing singer!!!!
This was an wonderful surprise for our daughter's promotion gift. She was really excited to be attending her very first concert. David Archuleta was awesome! He is a great entertainer and put on a tremendous show. From the beginning to the end, we had a terrific time! Can't wait to see him again!
David is an incredible recording artist, but to appreciate him completely, he must be experienced "live" in concert. His vocals are unparallelled. He's not the same "kid" as we first saw him on American Idol. He now totally controls the stage. He's the most entertaining singer I have ever seen, and he just keeps getting better and better. No one should ever miss an opportunity to see him live in concert. You will never be be disappointed! Catch his performances as his career progresses, then you can say you saw him when.....he's gonna be a superstar!
I left a vacation trip a day early to go see this -- and I was not disappointed! David Archuleta has a glorious voice that filled the night air at the San Diego County Fair Grounds. if you have not had the chance to hear David sing "live" do yourself a favor - you won't regret.
David put on a great performance. The show itself was worth seeing. I didn't care for the venue, however. Having to trek through a large fair ground to get to the show was a bummer. I would have enjoyed the experience more if it was in a concert hall. David is a big enough star to warrant a better location. I look forward to seeing him again in a better place.
The performance was magnificent. He showed a great range in his voice and I highly recomend the artist.
I was pleasantly surprised with the experience of watching and listening to David Archuleta (a rookie concert performer) at the Del Mar Fair. I loved that David had chosen opening acts from among those who were perfoming at the fair on much smaller stages. He definately picked two acts whose melodic music would appeal to his own fans. When David and his band finally made it onstage, I was impressed with the energy and overall musicality of the performance. It was a nice selection and variation of ensemble pieces, along with some acoustical numbers as well. I wished that David had slowed down the breathless pace between numbers so he could catch his breath, and mumble a few more words than "Great to be in San Diego". It seemed as though he and the band were in a huge hurry to get done and catch an airplane (maybe he was on his way to Boston to join Demi Lovato?. It was nice that finally - at the very end - for his encore - David sat down at the piano by himself and talked a few seconds about each song he sang. He could definately have played and sung another 10-15 minutes to give us our money's worth. I enjoyed the performance he gave, but felt just a little cheated on his performance time onstage.
David Archuleta's unique and identifiable voice carried clearly throughout the venue. It was powerful and soaring but at the same time also smooth and pleasant without sounding forced or stretched! The audience was extremely excited, responsive and mesmerized! We just purchased 2 more tickets to see him solo in Milwaukee! Since he's only 18 and mega talented, I'm sure we'll be going to many more of his concerts for years to come!
