Dave & his band, guest singers, this Christmas concert was fantastic and had it all. The venue- Belmont, wow!! This night had it all. Thank you Dave, this started the season off beautifully!!
We love Dave Barnes concerts. It’s like going to see a concert and comedy show all in one. Amazing music and singing. He brings his friends with him for the Christmas shows and they all are great!!
Dave Barnes put on an excellent Christmas show in Knoxville. The musicians were great! The special guest performances were great! Dave’s comedy was great- including his impersonation of his Dad! This was our second year going to his Christmas concert and it was as good or better than the first. I have recommended Dave’s show to many friends. We took some friends with us this year and they loved the concert also! Can’t wait until next year!
Had never heard of Dave Barnes much less his music. We were really pleased with the music and performances of all the artists. We have told everyone how amazing the program was and recommended to all.
After seeing Dave Barnes Christmas concert for 2 years, we invited my aunts to make it a family tradition. Our tradition has only been 2 more years,but it’s great to look forward to every Christmas. He always has a great show with lots of very talented people. We always leave smiling from his humor & singing his songs for weeks! Fantastic concert!
The Dave Barnes Christmas Show is an annual tradition and this year’s version was right up there with the best. Dave surrounds himself with some of the the most talented vocal and instrumental musicians and unselfishly shares the stage to present a delightful mix of familiar tunes and new original offerings, Add in his hysterically funny patter throughout and this show is a winner!
I bought tickets to this concert for my wife's birthday. So, needless to say, really had no personal expectations for this experience. I had heard some of Dave Barnes' music and while hes good it was nothing that really stood out in the industry to me. This show, from the beginning to end was one of the best shows ive ever been too. He was not only a good singer, but a great entertainer! He had the crowd laughing and engaged like very few I've ever experienced. It was nothing short of fantastic! He had the entire crowd feeling like we were just hanging out with and friend playing and jamming to various styles of music. I dont know if all of hus shows are like this, but I, for one, would not hesitate to see another concert with him after this experience. Also, the venue was great! The Lyric Theater is one of a kind!
Lyric Theater in Birmingham, AL. Awesome venue that has been restored. All the seats were very close to the stage. We sat in the balcony right in the middle of the stage, and it was fantastic. This was our second time seeing Dave Barnes in concert but our first time with the full band. I can't brag enough on the environment he creates. So much fun and fantastic music.
The Lyric Theatre in Birmingham is on of my favorites up there with the Ryman in Nashville. I’ve been a fan of Dave Barnes for some years and he puts on a great show and has a talented group surrounding him! The beautiful, historic venue along with Dave & the gang made for a great date night with the wifey! The front row seats were great too😁
This is a great show. Dave let’s the whole band have their time in the spot light and they are all very talented. Great show to get you in the Christmas spirit.
My family and I have enjoyed Dave Barnes Christmas music for years and when I saw he was coming to Birmingham I grabbed tickets as fast as I could! We were not disappointed! His band is so incredibly talented and he highlights their skills as much as his own. It was a perfect way to start our Christmas break and was a very enjoyable experience for us all.
Dave always puts on a great show! Love listening to him!
What a fabulous way to celebrate this season of Christmas! Dave and his band have phenomenal talent and the venue of the Bijou was the perfect setting to display that talent.

I don't know that I've ever seen a better show. Quality and abundant talent on display presented genuinely. The band, the artist, the guests, the set, etc...what an entertaining and satisfying event. I would have gladly paid twice as much for this show. Dave brought together a wonderful evening of warmth, spirit, storytelling, jokes and memorable performances from people who love what they do and wove it together into an unforgettable night. Top knotch, we have never attend a better concert. Exceeded all our expectations. So entertaining. Full of life, great music and some of the greatest guests performing also. We really appreciated what David put in to the performance.
First time getting to see Dave in concert! Great music and love his sense of humor! Enjoyed the Christmas story told and the guest singers were fantastic! Would definitely go see him again!
Family tradition! Christmas music with comedy!!!! I laugh every year until I cry!!! Can’t wait to go next year already!
The Bijou Theater was lit perfectly and Dave Barnes and band and backup singers sounded really sharp. The vibe was swinging, very smooth music and sweet vocals and backups. The keyboard player, female backup singer, and male backup singer, along with the second keyboard player all did a solo number, and it was hard to pick a favorite...they were all sensational (favorite: male backup singer!) Dave's Christmas songs were mostly new to me or old standards, and a wonderful mix. He played a few of my non-holiday favorites as well, and also had a poet/reader tell a story of the nativity that moved me to tears. I will be back to see this show again next holiday.
