Wagon Wheel in the rain - EPIC

    by D. B. on 8/25/23

It was an awesome show - period. Did it rain? Yep. Did we care? Nope. This is the 5th time I’ve seen him in concert and this was the best one by far. Everyone sang Wagon Wheel in the pouring rain during the encore and it was worth every penny!

    Rucker in the Rain!

    by CareBear on 8/24/23

Let me tell you...this was a first for my husband and me! Concert in the rain and it was great!! There was rain and lightening in the beginning and Drew Holcomb and Neighbors were a fun opening group! During Darius concert the rain wasn't too bad until the end!! Then it was coming down! He put on a great concert and it was a full house!!!

    For a Good Time

    by Amy B on 8/24/23

The backstage VIP experience was worth the entire show. Meeting Lee Turner and Mike Kelly and others was priceless. Learning more of the logistics to produce a flawless show was incredible. The meet and greet are usually a highlight. I didn’t sense he was up for it this time. The VIP lounge was special with photo spots, games, haircuts, henna tattoos, no lines at the bars, and strong pours!🤠 The event bathrooms were a great perk with the backstage VIP wristband. Clean and accessible, allowed for a few more drinks than normal, because it was not a terrible port o potty experience . IYKYK We were under cover (20x20) tent for the opening band as it was a dour-pour of rain and lightning. We were worried at this point he might cancel the concert. I felt bad for those in their seats already as they had no place to take cover, and probably made the DR part of the concert less enjoyable.(?) We got a trash bag from an attendant to cover up in!!😲 My seats were stage center, fourth row, and Darius Rucker sang, danced, snapped his fingers, and smiled like he was singing right to you. The set list was great, except for the third song, it was the only song I didn’t know. He played all the favorites plus the top Hootie and the Blowfish songs, and of course, encored w Wagon Wheel. DR PERFORMS, he does not engage w the crowd by high fives, shaking hands, selfies, signing items thrown on stage, bringing special people on stage or any of the things other artist do these days. He does not have a laser light show or pyrotechnics. However, his videos to the music are trendy w neon lights! If it wasn’t DR on stage I probably would not of stayed through the rain, but this concert and DR was my summer highlight! 🤠 As for the venue, it was my first time, it was charming. Accessible without too many steps or stairs to get around. Plenty of places to get a drink and mingle. I did not see any food stands, but maybe they were on the other side? Staff was very kind and helpful, with my disability (torn meniscus). I’d return for another show!

    Must attend Concert

    by Sigrid on 8/23/23

Darius Rucker put on a great show!. We enjoyed singing to some of the Hootie & the Blowfish songs as well as some of his songs as a solo artist. He engaged very well with the crowd. Even though we got rained on, we didn't care! It was a wonderful experience.

    Love Darius!

    by DR on 8/22/23

Darius was great as expected. The weather wasn't, but that's always a possibility at an outdoor concert. My only complaint: like at other outdoor concerts I've been to, the music was so loud it was sometimes hard to hear the singing . I go to concerts to hear the singer. The music should complement, not overwhelm

    Such a fun time

    by Wolf on 8/22/23

So you wouldn't think being cold and drenched in the rain would be fun, but then you probably weren't at a Darius Rucker concert. Not being a real country music fan, this was a date out with my wife, but the second time we were seeing him in concert (aka Hootie and some Blowfish). I prepped myself streaming his songs and finding I enjoyed them. Songs are one thing, but a performance makes the experience. When the artist is on stage and looks like he's just kicking back and having fun with friends, it's infectious. The natural energy and genuine smile projected just add to the great singing performance.

    Terry

    by Terry on 8/22/23

I took my grandson to see Darius for his 9th birthday. He is a big Darius Rucker fan. The show was great, it started on time, the seats were good and Darius did not disappoint. It rained during the show but no one left, it was very good.

Darius was great, venue was ok.

    by Tricia on 8/22/23

I would have given a higher rating if the venue actually followed their guidelines. For instance, since the weather was going to questionable, I made sure to read the guidelines and 2 things they didn't honor under their items that were allowed. Umbrella and unopened water bottle. They forced me to leave my umbrella in hopes that it would be there when I returned and sure enough it was gone. Bad on me for brining a good umbrella.

    Fantastic venue and great music!

    by Jen on 8/22/23

Opening band was fun! Every seat at the venue had a great seat, checkin was easy and quick and we never stood in long lines for concessions or bathroom. Darius Rucker was awesome! It poured rain on us, thunder and lightning and the show still went on. Absolutely great show, I would definitely return and see Darius again.
