In a relatively short period of time, Danny has established himself as one of the biggest-selling comedians in Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as his home country of Scotland. In November 2014, he did his first tour of the US with his critically acclaimed show Dear Epson, and in 2016, continued building on his success with his tour ‘Please Untick This Box’ with sold out shows in Australia and New Zealand.
The Gemini nominated performer has made annual appearances at all the major festivals around the world including regular appearances at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and has performed three times on Live At The Apollo, which he was invited to host in 2015. In addition to his live performances, Danny’s first two DVDs Live at The Opera House and Live at the Athenaeum were released only in Australia and New Zealand, where they enjoyed huge success. In early 2012, he recorded his first worldwide DVD in his home town of Edinburgh, Live At The Festival Theatre. He has also been featured on the The Late Show with David Letterman and has recorded a one-hour Comedy Central special entitled Subject To Change.

We enjoyed Danny Bhoy’s performance but due to random hecklers I think he got distracted, and the fact that there was an unnecessary intermission it took the wind out of the comedian’s sails and the show lost its momentum… Recommend highly not to have intermissions for comedian’s going forward. The other issue was patrons being able to bring in noisy snack/snack bags. Someone rummaging through a plastic snack bag while trying to pay attention to a performance is highly distracting and annoying. The comedian had mentioned that Moncton NB was a horrible experience for him… I guarantee that in his following performances he would have switched that comment up to Edmonton being a horrible experience for him. Such a shame as Danny Bhoy is a great entertainer.
As usual Danny bhoy was hilarious. He connects with his audience and has a great sense of humour. If you want a great night out, go to see him!
All of Danny’s jokes were stale and overused by other comedians. Most of the jokes (if not all) revolves around Covid and lockdowns, and although lockdowns were only 3 and a half years ago it seems like every comedian has already had a crack at Covid so none of the Covid jokes were funny. Lots of hecklers. Looked around the crowd and not many people were laughing. Danny kept mentioning that he hasn’t had a gig in 2 years and I am beginning to wonder whether it was due to Covid or his lack of creativity.
Not only were his stories and jokes funny, but he did some audience work which was very funny, and also unexpected in such a large audience. A few hecklers, but he managed them very well. A fun evening.
The show was fantastic. Danny had so many good stories and jokes that he shared with all of us. It was a great time well spent.
We had seen Danny Bhoy several years ago at the same venue…the show, Dear Epson. It was the best comedy act we have seen. It was clever, didn’t wander and virtually no colourful language, and extremely relatable! While.this show was very funny and lots of laughs, it just seemed to be less intelligent and a lot of random swearing that didn’t add to the show. There were a number of “hecklers” during the first half and this seemed to slow rhythm of the show down, which is not Danny’s fault, but as a seasoned comedian he should have been able to quickly get back on track. Otherwise, show was very funny, just not stellar as we expected. Parking next door horrendous and not well planned at all. But that has nothing to do with show…just a poor way to end the evening.
Perfect to relax and laugh and enjoy well prepared comedy
Great show, very funny with lots of great comedy, well worth seeing if you have the opportunity!!
I typically enjoy Danny Bhoy’s comedy that mixes humorous observations and witty punchline’s. But this show focused too much on dated Covid observations and many topics that were introduced in the second half were left hanging in some comedy neverland; failing to deliver a chuckle or insight.
Love Danny Bhoy. Such a great comedian and involves the audience in some of his show. His material is very relatable and not offensive. Such a great story teller in a hilarious manner. I would see his shows over and over again.
I had a very enjoyable evening. His material was fresh and funny. I wonder whether the venue could provide Bluetooth streaming. I am hearing impaired and the audio quality was too poor for my hearing aids to capture the sound 100%.
Couple of jokes fell flat but otherwise a very funny hour and a half- kept my mind off of the state of the world for a while
From beginning to end, Danny has the audience laughing. Clever jokes, quick uptakes, and clean humour. He is a funny funny guy. This was our second time seeing Danny Bhoy... looking forward to his next tour. If you haven't seen Danny Bhoy, you've missed one of the best.
Funny and thoughtful all at the same time; this is the second time I've seen him. Love to try ham with a face.
Very funny, witty, and on point! Hope he comes back!
Danny Bhoy is always so funny and the Venue was great. I enjoyed every second of the show.
Warm up act was amusing but not LOL funny and then there was a 10-15 minute break, which let the audience get "cold" again, which seemed strange. 2 in our group attended on the premise they could utilize assisted listening devices, however, the lady distributing them at first didn't know where they were, and then seem confused about the types available. She didn't offer to help set them up and we didn't ask, as she didn't appear knowledgeable. Unfortunately, they didn't work and one member of our group basically missed hearing the entire show. We passed on our concerns when we returned the devices and were assured the feedback would be addressed.
We were so happy that we were able to see him live! As he stated in his show that this might be his last tour - which breaks our heart. The venue was great and made for the perfect backdrop for his wonderful performance.
This comedian is one of my favs. He’s smart and a really great story teller. The political jokes were great. I hope he comes back.
