Daniel Caesar on Tour
Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Caesar has played festivals around the world, but his live shows spotlight the deep connection the Ontario-born musician has with his fans. Whether performing solo or backed by his touring band and backing vocalists, Caesar deftly commands the intimate feel that makes his records so exciting, his voice fluttering into falsetto as he opens his heart to the audience.

Oshawa-born Daniel Caesar established himself as a force in the alt-R&B world with his 2014 debut EP Praise Break, which showcased his wide-ranging tastes and deep knowledge. The EP sampled troubadour Jeff Buckley and trip-hop outfit Zero 7 while also drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd, teenage heartbreak and his own background in church music. It drew rave reviews. Caesar followed that up with the 2015 EP Pilgrim’s Paradise, which put the spotlight on his struggles with his faith and the hardships he endured, including homelessness, while he pursued music full-time. In 2016 Caesar released “Get You,” a duet with Colombian singer-songwriter Kali Uchis, and the duet’s heartfelt, honest depiction of a deep romantic connection was a hit with audiences. “Get You” went double-platinum in Canada and topped the U.S. Adult R&B chart, and it was nominated for Best R&B Performance at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Caesar followed up the success of “Get You” with Freudian, his debut full-length. That album’s blend of modern soul and classic gospel garnered positive reviews from critics, which led to it being shortlisted for Canada’s Polaris Music Prize. The single “Best Part,” a duet with the mysterious R&B singer H.E.R., reached the top of the U.S. Adult R&B chart, won Best Collaboration at the 2018 Soul Train Awards and also a Grammy for Best R&B Performance in 2019. Later that year, Caesar released Case Study 01, featuring collaborations with Pharrell Williams and John Mayer as well as the single “Love Again,” a woozy duet with soul-pop pioneer Brandy.
I went with my boyfriend and we had such an amazing time. There were so many emotions inside of us that Daniel seemed to just bring out of us. It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to and there were so many amazing artists that joined him on stage. Definitely a 10/10
Daniel Caesar was absolutely unreal. So theatric and beautiful. Told a story. I wish it wasn’t the end of his tour otherwise I’d go again. Omar Apollo was also amazing. I had heard a few of his songs from TikTok but now I can say I’m a fan of his. I’ve been listening to him nonstop since the show. Cannot wait to see them both again.
Each act was amazing. I recommend seeing Omar Apollo or Daniel Caesar whenever you can. Together was great. I’ve even started to look up more music from Montell fish.

Daniel Caesar is my favorite artist, and I'm absolutely thrilled that I had the opportunity to attend his performance at Madison Square Garden on October 17. It was an unforgettable experience! Additionally, he surprised the audience by bringing out H.E.R to perform their song together, which was truly remarkable, and I feel incredibly thankful for that moment.
I honestly what's going away by his performance Yes I love his music but he was really good at putting on a show I felt everything and everywhere that he said Let's go and see you will not regret it!

1 million percent worth coming. Drove down the day of from Vermont for this concert and had an amazing time. Montell fish opening was GREAT. Daniel’s performance was incredible.
I've never been to an R&B concert before, so I was a little scared that it wasn't going to be as fun as a hype rap concert. It wasn't as hype, but it was so beautiful it it's own way. There was no moshing, no pushing, just standing and loving and screaming the lyrics when the time was right. I love Daniel Caesar's music! Unfortunately, he was sick so I think he cut the concert short and didn't sing many other songs that I really wanted (I was waiting for Homiesexual, Valentina, but he never sang them :( ). He also never came back for one more song after he left, he just sang it backstage which didn't make sense to me because... might as well just come out and sing it if you're going to sing it. I'm lucky enough to be 5'7", so a pretty average height. But, I got stuck behind some taller guys so it was kind of a bummer and my neck was in pain from looking up and over. My friend on the other hand was shorter than me and had a lot of trouble seeing. My favourite parts were when the entire audience knew the lyrics (Japanese Denim, Get You, Cyanide) and we were all just yelling it and Daniel wasn't singing, but it was just a huge choir ! Magical! Overall, my experience was pretty good. I def would go again!
Montell Fish as the opener was amazing. I only knew a handful of songs, but even the ones I didn’t know they were so beautiful to hear. Daniel Caesar cancelled his DC show the night before because he was sickies. However, he was AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, A TRUE ARTIST. And when we thought it was over, it wasn’t. The intimate surprise song at the end in his green room was a beautiful ending to the show. ALSO SHOUT OUT TO THE BAND. They were amazing as well.

He is a very talented singer. His show was phenomenal. Great stage presence, felt very personal. Ready for the next tour.
seriously this concert was ethereal. I’ve been listening to Daniel for so long now and just listening to him live was just so unreal. my first ever concert and I don’t regret it at all. Will definitely be seeing him again in the future ;))

because of where the concert was held i feel like it wasn’t as good as it couldve been but daniel never fails to put a smile on my face and he is SO kind to his fans. even when he was sick he still sang his heart out for us. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Mosses (opening act) felt longer than the actual person whom I came to see. Short list of songs played and encore was filmed live performed back stage. Was expecting just a bit more,but was a pretty 7.5/10 night.
