This was a wonderful line up. At first i didn't know about paying 50$ to see Dance Gavin Dance. Not knowing the other three bands in the line up it was a gamble, But seeing Dance Gavin Dance alone is worth 50$ in my opinion. Not only was DGD worth the 50$ alone, the 3 starters for dgd were AMAZING. SiM was such a great mix up, and it was there first international tour. Self Destruction isn't a very highly listened too band, but it's clear they can put on a hell of a show. That man can SCREAM. Glad DGD gave SiM, Rain City Drive, and Self Destruction extra exposure, they all deserve it. Self Destruction for a very unknown band had great CLEAR vocals, defiantly going to look into them. They are the definition of a concert band and not a studio band. Great clear vocals, DGD knows how to pick their lineups'. Rain City Drive, was my least favorite out of the whole line up but they put on a nice show with some pretty cool stunts. My girlfriend seemed to really like them, but they are alternative rock at a metal show, that's my only gripe (still worth). But it was an amazing experience. Would buy again and again. DGD IS ALWAYS WORTH THE MONEY! Great venue, just be prepared for the heat if its the outdoor venue. Lesser viewed shows will be inside. White Oak Music Hall is indoor and outdoor depending on the popularity and amount of tickets sold, be prepared to know that before buying tickets, especially in the summertime in Houston,Texas. 5 OUT OF 5 no doubt for venue/price. Hope this helps to anyone/everyone wanting to use this venue or especially listen to this specific tour & line-up. #HellaWorth
P.S.: I'm not the type to write reviews let alone this long of a review. I might write one review a year if that helps say anything. Hope that helps too :D Enjoy my fellow music heads, Music is a great escape, especially if your listening to someone creating beautiful art lyricaly, along with guitar, bassist, drums, and all other musical instruments etc.. It's all art. DGD man, There is a reason SWAN (Their lead guitar) has his own "genre"called "Swan Core". He's so different from anyone else. Also for them to be able to perform knowing that their bassist Kurt died just a few months back and put on that well of a show is amazing. R.I.P. kurt
