  • Do yourself a favor and see him! A rare musician!

by Liston on 3/5/16Bowery Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

This show had soooo much energy! He pours all he has out there for the crowd. People smiling and singing the whole show. Good times! Damien is on the same level as people like John Lenon or Bob Marley. He doesn't sound like them. He just sees the world the same way. For example we all suffer, all races, and all over the world. Let's make the world a better place and help one another. It's a fun show! GOOOO SEE HIM! Cheers!

  • Damien Dempsey is Mighty.

Paddy Saul was great, really impressive opening act. Will look out for him and his band again when we hit the Boston area. Nicole Maguire was also a nice addition. Would have loved to have seen more people out to support the three acts. For us, we traveled up from the Vineyard and it was worth the ferry ride and two hours of traffic. When Damo sings, he puts his heart and soul into it. EVERY TIME. And we've been following him for years now, in Dublin, or Galway or Canton. We'll go the distance, he always does. Fair play to him, his message is just, coolly angry, proud and sad. All you need is LOVE, Music and Spirituality. That's it, that's all you need, we got it, thanks Damo, you're Brilliant.

  • Damien Dempsey is a must see!!!!! So fun!!!!

Damo always pours 100% passion into his performance and the full band was great! The crowd was so excited to hear him and that only gave Damo more fuel to give the crowd more! It was an amazing show everybody sang along, good times! Come back to NYC soon Damien Dempsey!

  • Damien Dempsey was brilliant!

More than a concert - this was a 'sing-along'!! Everyone knew the songs and belted them out along with Damien, and he seemed to enjoy the enthusiasm. We saw him the week before at the Kansas City Irish Fest where he was also great, but he's really terrific in a smaller concert setting. Can't wait to see him again!

  • Absolutely brilliant!!!

Saw damo in Perth in march so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed and I was right! If I could go to this guy every week I would, full of emotion as usual and really got involved with the crowd. If you get a chance to see our Damien don't think twice... JUST GO!!!

  • Damo rocks it out again

Damien Dempsey puts on a unforgettable show. Yes, he has a new album out, but maybe a 1/3 of the 20 songs he did at the show were from it. He has never forgotten his fans love ALL of his work, and doesnt use his shows as a 'buy my new album' self promo. The Bowery was the perfect place to see him, small venue and we were right at the stage. Damo always comes across as humble and seems to really enjoy playing for his fans. His rendition of 'Colony' was different but equally as moving as the previous 2 times I have seen him perform it. Damo is tops!

  • Damo was awesome!

  • Damien Dempsy show at Brighton Music Hall

by Anonymous on 9/9/13Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

The Damien Dempsey show was an amazing experience. His passion, music and songwriting is unparalleled. Superb show. The only negative issue (and it was a big one) was the level of the bass drum right up in front of the stage. It was way too high and actually got in the way of the music. It sounded great where the sound man was mixing, but that's not where most of the crowd was - they were up front.
