Once again, Dame Edna not only entertained but showed why she is a Friend of the Famous, Adviser to Queens and Princes. The show was just wonderful. This show added a wonderful multi-media facet that provided a delightful overview of Dame Edna's body of work. And the bit at the end, well, I will not give it away, but it brought me to tears. Brava Dame Edna. Bravo BH.
This was my third time seeing Dame Edna and it ws as good as the first!
It was the same old Dame Edna. Same old skits. No new material with the exception of Valmay which was just an attempt to cover a costume change instead of a longer show with an intermission. I have seen him/her in New York and Washington, DC in years past and it was much better. It started late and didn't last more than 1 1/2 hours. Very dissapointed.
we really enjoyed the show, very irreverent, and funny without foul language or sensationalism.
Dear Dame Edna could not have chosen a more perfect onstage partner than me! She was a delight from start to finish -- clever in her choice of words and in the way she gathered in the entire audience -- from the last row of the balcony to the front row of the orchestra. I would see her and her show again -- and again -- and again. Please do the same! How sweet was the fact that our colors matched! <wink> My husband would have loved llaughing at both Dame Edna and me.
fantastic show, slow to start but hilariously funny throughout with a great finish. im glad i didnt sit in the first two rows!... funny show, great to see live.
Dame Edna is simply hilarious! I laughed so hard and loud that I was afraid I would offend my fellow theatre goers - until I realized that they were laughing just as loud! We also had the pleasure to meet Dame Edna's counterpart after the show - and he was so friendly and gracious! A great time was had by all. Long live Dame Edna!
Dame Edna has been making us roll on the floor laughing for many years. Her live show was no exception! She has an incredible way of making fun of audience members, but with that Australian accent that makes the digs seem polite, almost nurturing in a way. You never know what to expect from Dame Edna, except having a lot of fun and feeling good when you leave.
We have heard of Dame Edna for many years, so when we saw she was coming to San Diego, we thought it might be fun to see... we were actually expecting what we figured would be a campy drag show... but to our surprise, Dame Edna was very funny, topical, and very witty... We had a great time... and to be honest, much more so than we were expecting... it was well worth going...

The glamor! The intensity! The insensitivity! All wrapped in that wonderous package called Dame Edna. She never ages, she just upstages and engages. With her keen insight into human nature, the Goddess of Lavendar reduces the audience to tears...of laughter. Rock on, you marvelous Purple Possum! She tells it like it is, like it was, and like it shall be. Were that my own mother were as dynamic and irrepressable.
I think Dame Edna is ready to retire. We've watched Barry Humphreys' act over the years and have been big fans, but this show left us wondering if it's time to hang up the lavender wig. The addition of the "daughter" character left us scratching our heads. My husband pointed out that it was to fill in while he changed costumes, but it was little more than that. That part seemed pointless and out of step with the rest of the show, as did the video introduction a la "I Spy". If you come to a Dame Edna show you pretty much know where the character comes from. Mr. Humphreys is at his best when he's talking to audience members, poking fun and making his observations about life. We still think he's a treasure from down under, but that it's time to put the act to bed and remember Dame Edna in her hay day.

Stunning, Awesome, Extraordinary, are the words I would use to describe this unbelieveable performance. A laugh a minute! Go see Damn Edna you won't be disappointed.
Great show...very entertaining and funny...! The crowd was surprisingly older, but everyone laughed and had a great time. Enjoyed the show tremendously..!
i took friends to see dame edna in june. was a bit nervous as they had never seen the show before but they were blown away. had great seats so was able to just sit back and laugh.
Although we were the youngest fans in the audience - it was a somewhat entertaining show but you just have to love Dame Edna!
been a fan of edna's for 20 years. what a thrill to see her in person, no regrets! loved it!
I absolutely loved this show! Dame Edna keeps you laughing for the entire performance. If you missed this one..be sure to catch her/him if there is a future tour.
This was an Event I recieved from my Wife as a gift. And I would go back in a heartbeat....
