About

Currents is a metalcore band that was formed in Fairfield, Connecticut in 2011. It comprises Brian Wille (vocals), Chris Wiseman (guitar), Ryan Castaldi (guitar), Matt Young (drums) and Christian Pulgarin (bass). After independently releasing a handful of EPs, Currents put out their full-length debut The Place I Feel Safest in 2017 via SharpTone Records; the album showcased anguished vocals, electronic flourishes and djent-influenced rhythms. Their breakthrough second album The Way It Ends followed in 2020, and their third album, The Death We Seek, was released in 2023. Currents have toured in support of bands such as August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, Ice Nine Kills, Thy Art Is Murder, and We Came As Romans.

Currents/LMTF/Invent Animate killed St. Andrews, and the crowd was hot all night.

Currents was absolutely amazing- somehow sound better in person and played the perfect mix of old new and in between. Invent animate was two before then and absolutely tore it up as well

This was a spectacular show! All 4 bands brought amazing energy, the packed crowd was into it the whole way, and St. Andrew's always hosts a good show.

Currents had a tour for “The Death We Seek” featuring Like Moths to Flames, Invent Animate, and Foreign Hands. I love Gramercy theater as the sound is consistent and good. Venue is never packed too tightly and it is always a blast. Thank you!

I came to see invent animate and they delivered , like moths to flames hood too. They had the crowd fully involved in crowd suffering and jumping up and down . BUT Currents too the took the cake with amazing performance. There or his vocals were so on point . Loved every minute of it . Great line up I wouldn’t change the tour bands on this tour at all!!!
