    Tennis OVER Golf

by CrabKing on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

Have been coming to this event for 5 years with my daughter from Atlanta, GA. Living in Augusta, GA with the Masters going on last week is never a fun week. Going to this event Saturday And Sunday is the best thing that could happen during this time frame. The players, fans and everything else that makes this event a must place to be each and every year.

world class tennis event in one of USA best cities

by Ivyluvr on 4/12/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

This super user friendly tennis tournament is very well run. The southern friendliness of the staff and fans is a plus. Charleston's many attractions (architecture, history, restaurants, beaches) make the visit worthwhile for even casual tennis fans. Easy fan interaction with the players in a more relaxed environment than the Grand Slams and bigger tournaments is a special bonus. I've wanted to attend for many years and I'm really glad I finally did. I will be back for sure.

    Fantastic venue

by Cyrus41 on 4/11/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

The tennis tournament in Daniel island ( Charleston) is a first class event. The management is superb the players and spectators all have a good time. This year the weather cooperated and there was no delay or any change of schedule. The games were mostly competitive and the spectators loved it!

    Tennis vacation

by Itchypoo on 4/10/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

Enjoyed the tennis immensely. Volunteers were great. Only two problems the people setting in the first tier behind the boxes were extremely loud & more busses were needed to ferry people back & forth to the matches. Overall everyone was very pleasant & courteous.

    A Great Day

by HHITennisNut on 4/9/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

The weather was perfect, our seats were great, and we got to see Madison Keys, Sloane Stephens and Venus play. What more could we ask for ? The only drawback seemed to be less interesting and fewer booths to stroll by.

Great, family fun event! It's fun to watch in the big stadium but walking around was our favorite part. You can get really close to some great tennis on some of the smaller courts.

    Good to go ONCE

by CaptainPVL on 4/9/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

The good part about this event is that every seat has a great view in the stadium. The bad part is that the tennis is so-so as not many "name" players attend this event. Also, there is not a lot of energy around the grounds, not enough "fan experience" events. A few booths by sponsors and some merchandising... a food truck . It's a pretty area to go see some tennis and hopefully you can see a player you like. On the whole, I call it average.

    Great event!

by Mtpleasy on 4/9/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

This is always a highlight for me to go see these players. Venue is awesome, seating is always available, price was great, not to mention the amazing players! Well worth the money spent to watch a match or two! A little cold this year but we roughed it out!

Very good eventy - only a few suggestions

by Tennisman1 on 4/9/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

This event is very well run and a pleasant event. The venue is not so large that you get lost or too spread out. You get to be among the players and the feel is friendly there. The food and beer prices are reasonable enough. Less pricey than baseball or football games but a good bit more than at the Masters. The only grumbling I would pass along is the following: 1. Not enough food stands around. It gets crowded at the best food areas. 2. The tennis clothing for sale is BUST OUT RETAIL prices. 3. Some events like this would have a dozen booths or tents with free stuff, samples and stuff like that. This does not have enough of that. 4. I am surprised at the lack of "tennis training" features and options. 5. I am surprised at the lack of tennis equipment for sale and the lack of tennis equipment manufacturers there.

Volvo Car Open Tennis Excellent Event for any Spor

by Mikecola on 4/8/16Volvo Car Stadium (Formerly Family Circle Stadium) - Charleston

Day session runs 7 hours or more. You can watch many different matches on multiple courts. See Singles and Doubles. See lots of different styles of play. And decent food and drink options. And you are in the nice town of Daniel Island, just a few minutes from downtown Charleston and/or the Charleston area beaches. Great way to spend a nice spring day.

A delightful women's tennis tournament. Good venue in pleasant surroundings. Chances to see players up close and personally.

They had free parking and free shuttle to the event from the parking. Plenty of things going on during the matches as well. Totally recommend!!
