    Balboa Theater

by Stingray on 5/5/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

The show was exceptional. Great sound at the Balboa. It was fun doing a meet and greet after the show. Plus autographed t shirts and poster was a big hit. Sent my high school buddy a shirt and poster. He wss surprised and happy to receive such a nice gift. Great times

    A fun night out

by ritasb on 5/3/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

First, the venue was great for the concert - smallish with good acoustics. The process for parking and entering the venue went smoothly. The concert itself was fun - there were 2 guest musicians, keyboards and drums, who were AMAZING!!! They elevated the performance and when not on the stage, the performance was still good but not awesome. Great evening overall.

Great musicians! But singing was not audible only the music

by MARIANN on 5/3/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Sound system was off, could not hear the singing! Also too many people, ushers etc walking around! Distracting!!!

Need a little better sound engineer

by Hmax SD on 5/3/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

The performance and band was great, not the real thing but very good! The sound engineer fell down on the job which spoiled a couple songs. Distortion completed overwhelmed the performance. It made a couple of songs sound like noise not music.

    Awesome show!!

by Pix on 5/3/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

This show was top notch with excellent musicians! I enjoyed every moment of it and the Balboa theater had great acoustics. This concert was really special because Eric Clapton’s current bassist Nathan East performed, as well as former band members Greg Phillingaines and Steve Ferrone. It was a fun night all around!!

    Epic Evening

by KD on 5/3/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

Add keyboard player, Noah East's Dad, Nathan, and two other original members of Eric Clapton's band, to a a group of musicians that far exceed the title "cover band," and you have an evening of music to be remembered forever.

    Great concert, great venue but.....

by Concert Fan1 on 5/3/23Balboa Theatre - San Diego

It was a great performance by the band Cream of Clapton and the Venue is nice. Quick access through security and seats. One thing maybe staff can control is people using their phones to record potions of the concert. I can understand official band team members taking videos but regular concert attendees should be watched by staff.

    Great Show

by MikeyD on 4/26/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

I didn't realize before the show that guitarist/Lead singer is Eric Clapton's nephew. This probably accounts for the spot on guitar playing.

    Bad Bad Bad

by Michael on 4/26/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

They went a break. Took over 30 minutes. We left before they came back.

    Disappointed

by Birdie on 4/26/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

We were excited to see this concert....but walked out during the 4th song. There was just tooo much instrumental going on. We wanted to hear the songs. It was awful!

    Could have been better

by Sammy B on 4/26/23South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

We didn’t find out until the day after that Wil Johns had been sick. Maybe should have canceled, but 50 minutes into set the band took a 30 minute. Many in an already small venue left, we remained, but knew something was up with his vocals. Instrumentally, the band was tight and I was enjoying the show, just confused about an early and long break that took all of the momentum from show. Hope Wil feels better.
