  • TIME OF MY LIFE

by BrendaA on 2/27/22Madrid Theatre - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

I had been waiting for SO long to see them live. They are by far one of the best groups. Their music catalog is filled with brilliant writing with so many different styles. I could gush for hours but I'll end by saying I will go see them any time it is possible.

  • One of my favorite bands

I’ve been wanting to see Crash Trest Dummies for a long time, didn’t think it would ever happen. Really enjoyed the concert, it was all I hoped it would be. Great venue too.

  • Crash Test Dummies in Kansas City

by Figure Five Media on 2/27/22Madrid Theatre - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful opening show for the 2022 tour at The Madrid Theater in Kansas City. The venue was beautiful and the perfect size to host an intimate experience. The band was well rehearsed and played all the fan favorites. I’m going to try and catch another show! Worth every penny!

  • Great Show with Crash Test Dummies

by Hfox on 2/27/22Madrid Theatre - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The first concert by CTD in 26 months. They sounded great! Very entertaining show and the instruments and vocals were at a very high level! So glad we were able to see the group finally able to perform! Opening act was also very good.

  • Seeing the Crash Test Dummies was No Accident

by LA4X on 8/29/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

The Crash Test Dummies did not disappoint. Great songwriting, good balance of sound between instruments, and great song selection. Friendly and engaging with the audience. Their hits sounded great. Several people mentioned their pensive 2018 song, "Heart of Stone," as a highlight. House of Blues is an excellent venue: clean, high quality sound, easy access, safe area, friendly staff. All good!

  • Beyond expectations

by C Lo on 8/28/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

I couldn’t have seen a better display of talent and originality in one show! Crash Test Dummies smashed every musical instrument on stage like sledgehammer over cotton ball. The baritone voice is second to Johnny Cash and the lyrics were so artistically vivid. The live harmonies are better left at the studio but she brings such beauty in voice and display. The drummer is spot on, keyboardist is top notch, the bassist is his brother and sets a perfect foundation for the awesome lead guitarist on acoustic and electric (uses 6guitars on stage). I can’t wait to bump into them again soon!

  • Still Amazing after 28 years

by Dctrdrum on 1/29/19Revolution Live - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The band is still very much true to form, and sounds better than ever - a meet & greet was announced at the end for all who might like to get autographs and photos

  • Crash Test Dummies Unplugged

by Anonymous on 5/28/11The Ark - Ann ArborRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the show. Had a smile on my face for the entire two hours. His voice is so unique and the three of them know how to entertain. GO to a show if you get the chance, especially if it's at a small venue.

  • Lead singer has no personality

by moricher on 12/6/10Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara FallsRating: 3 out of 5

Ellen Reid was the shining star of the evening. The lead guy who's name I don't remember really turned me off with his supposedly witty reparte (really juvinille humor). He berated the only guy in the audience who appeared to be excited to be there. The music was good, but I never left a show hating a performer so much. Ellen Reid was amazing though.

  • Crash Test Dummies gives a fantastic performance!!

by TammyJoy on 6/13/10Aladdin Theater - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Playing in the intimate Aladdin Theater, Crash Test Dummies Brad Roberts, Ellen Reid and Stuart Cameron were wonderful. Brad bantered with the audience (I wish the one loudmouth in the back of the theater would've kept quiet) and when he told stories behind some of the songs it was like being with a group of good friends. Brad's vocals were as smooth and penetrating as I expected, with Ellen's voice sweetly lilting yet mischievous. And there was a good mix of songs from the new cd and fan favorites from previous albums. Their new album "Oooh La-La!" is the best since "God Shuffled His Feet" in my opinion and this concert was an excellent time for everyone.

  • Crash Test Dummies Patient with Portland

by yournicknamehasbeentaken on 6/6/10Aladdin Theater - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

The Crash Test Dummies in Portland were awesome. I am looking forward to their new CD. Brad Roberts was honest and entertaining. I was not disappointed with the old "stuff" and was surprised by the new music. On the downside. Although enthusiastic some of the audience were rude and distracting. What's with the talking over the performer, yelling out personal requests, clapping and dancing in the aisles? Mr. Roberts was patient and in the end needed to be firm to get through the show. I couldn't help but wonder if maybe we might have gotten another song or two out of him had people shut their mouths. Great show...Ellen Reid was a treat.

  • Way fun

by Nwkmom on 6/6/10Aladdin Theater - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

I love going to concerts where the musicians are so obviously having fun. Great venue, great sound, awesome voice. Only problem: Didn't like it much when Brad gave permission to video and the media police at Aladdin were still preventing it -- felt way unfair.

  • Hmmmm best concert i've seen in years

    by GaryH61 on 6/5/10Aladdin Theater - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Funny, acoustic, and good! So great to see a fav from the 90s in a small venue. Brad's voice still kicks ass.

  • Loved it!

FABULOUS!! PERSONAL!!!GREAT MUSIC!!! CTD HAS ALWAY'S AND CONSISTENTLY ENTERTAINED ME! NOW MY SON, WHO WENT WITH ME, WILL BE A LIFELONG FAN. THE AUTOGRAPH SIGNING AND CONVERSATION AFTERWARDS IS A HIGHLIGHT OF MY 59 YEARS!!

  • by Anonymous on 6/5/10Aladdin Theater - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the event! The music was fantastic and the venue was awesome. Loved the smaller atmosphere and that Brad talked with the crowd between songs. Also loved that they played a mix of the old hits along with the new songs. It was definitely a fun evening.

  • Crash Test Dummies seemed tired; or bored.

by GreggerIII on 5/23/10The Ark - Ann ArborRating: 1 out of 5

I can't really write a proper review because I left after 5 or 6 songs . . . maybe they came together after I left. The lone instrumentalist was straining himself (and us) to bring some energy and life to the trio.
