I wasn't looking forward to an acoustic show or a q&a session, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time. He is a funny, talented man that really appreciates his fans. Great time!
For a single person on a stage with a guitar, I have never seen somone take a room in the palm of their hand and keep them enthralled and entertained for a whole night. He is an outstanding musician but also a great story teller. It was like everyone was in his living room for a party. The richness of his voice was incredible. His heart and love of what he does is so evident. Definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity.
If you have not read is book do so! The first half hour of the show he rants on topics from the book. Very Henry Rollins-esque. Second half hour is audience questions and he answered every one truthfully and emotionally. After a 10 min pee/smoke break Corey played acoustic covers for an hour. He brought an amazing nite to the fans. I hope he does this more often AMazing guy and in incredible show.
Show was great, Corey did such an amazing job on all his covers and managed to ham it up as usual.
Very awesome and intimate as well as entertaining.
Unlike anything I've ever seen. Corey's a funny guy, great talker, awesome singer, and overall an excellent entertainer. You cant go wrong with an acoustic guitar and a great voice.
Perfect benefit. the music was the best; everyone was just awesome!
I can't believe how kick ass this show was. So many great artists onstage it just brought the house down. It was an all-star night, for sure.
Corey played covers for the whole show but it was a nice break from the Slipknot, Stone Sour stuff. I thouroghly enjoyed his set!
It was totally awesome, I had a blast. Cory is an amazingly talented singer, Queen V is hot and a very good singer. I would go and see her perform with her band.
The Electric Pool Party with Corey Taylor was great! Beautiful scenery at the Hard Rock pool and a very relaxed and fun feel. He came out dressed as Elvis and covered songs ranging from The Cars to Alice in Chains. Very entertaining.
So I decided to go to this show becasue Slipknot and Stone Sour are a few of my favorite bands, so I was expecting an Acoustic verison of the songs that he wrote, and of some of the songs that he helped make so popular. So instead he played only a couple of songs and alot of covers from Iron Madden and Green Day. Don't get me wrong, great bands but its not about that, its about Corey Taylor and how he is who he is with his projects. So I still gave his performance a 4 out 5 bc I am such a fan, but I was alittle disspointed. Plus the venue was awkard as hell. With all of the polls and chandeliers in the way, trying to get a good view was nearly impossiable.
